Oh, hey, Tom Brady!
On June 16, the NFL quarterback posted the first official photo of himself wearing his new No. 12 Tampa Bay Buccaneers uniform on Instagram, captioning it, "ALL CAPS: LFG."
Fans and fellow sports figures took to the comments to weigh in on the pewter uniform look — one of three new designs the team has debuted for the upcoming season — as did Tom's wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
"What a cutie!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥," she wrote, making sure to add several fire emojis.
The same day, the Bucs released more photos of the former New England Patriots star — who appears to have acquired quite a tan since moving to Florida's west coast earlier this year — on the team's official Instagram page showing what he looks like in other variations of the red, white and pewter uniforms.
"He's here and he's perfect 🤩," the Bucs captioned a video montage of Tom in uniform — the first time he's been photographed as a member of the team. On June 17, the Bucs added another pic of Tom, captioning that one, "It was not a dream 🤩."
A little more than a month after their 11th wedding anniversary, Tom and Gisele moved into a 30,000-square-foot mansion in Tampa Bay's exclusive Davis Islands neighborhood, which they're renting from his pal Derek Jeter, the retired MLB star.
In April, Tom talked to radio host Howard Stern about the couple's new life in Florida, which is a world away from their old one in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
They live on the water now and have less privacy than before, though they still have plenty of room for the kids — Benjamin, 10, and Vivian, 7, whom he shares with Gisele, plus 12-year-old son Jack, who's based in New York with mom Bridget Moynahan.
"There's enough space here," Tom told Howard, as reported by People magazine. "We have my sister-in-law that lives with us, our kids and we have someone that cooks for us. So everyone's got a little of space. The nice part is we have a lot of outdoor space here. I can do all my football training here, which I really like. It's been a good place to come down. [Derek] left it furnished for me so I didn't have to deal with any of that."
In the same interview, Tom revealed that he and Gisele had been working on some marital issues and had come out the other side after some reflection and couples therapy. The Brazilian model wrote the football legend a letter a few years ago, he revealed, explaining why she was unhappy with their relationship.
"She felt like I would play football all season and she would take care of the house and all of a sudden when the season would end, I would be like, 'Great, let me get into all my other business activities. Let me get into my football training.' And she's sitting there going, 'Well, when are you going to do things for the house? When are you going to take the kids to school and do that?' And that was a big part of our marriage. I had to, like, check myself," Tom said, as reported by Boston.com, "because she's like, 'I have goals and dreams too. You better start taking care of things at the house.'"
He further explained, "She didn't feel I was doing my part for the family. I had to make a big transition in my life to say, 'I can't do all the things that I wanted to do for football like I used to. I gotta take care of things in my family because my family, the situation wasn't great. She wasn't satisfied with our marriage." He said he's held on to that letter and keeps it in a drawer because "It's a good reminder for me that things are going to evolve and change over time."
