"The Real Housewives of Orange County" star Emily Simpson is proudly showing off her double-digit weight loss, and she's hinting that a few more pounds are set to come off once she gets something off her chest.
Emily recently posted an Instagram photo that shows her doing a squat. The photo represents who she has become.
"It's been a JOURNEY to get to this point right here. Ups and downs. Gains and losses," she wrote, adding that she's lost 16 pounds and lowered her body fat percentage by 10 percent over the past year.
Perhaps her biggest victory came when she wrote that she's "no longer categorized as 'obese.'"
How has the reality TV star changed her body? She did it with good old fashioned hard work.
"There's no right way to start. There's no magic plan or magic pill. You just have to dig deep and make yourself a priority," she wrote. "Sometimes we become too overwhelmed with life, kids, depression, weight gain, hormones, relationships, illness etc … but you have to start somewhere. Make today that day. A year from now will pass by regardless. Might as well make it your healthiest yet."
While she didn't reveal her target weight, Emily said she's yet to reach her "ultimate goal."
"I'm enjoying the journey and relishing in the successes," she said. "And I still enjoy an Egg McMuffin occasionally too (it's all about balance!)"
Emily hinted that her physical transformation will continue outside the gym, too.
"Hair extensions are gone and soon these implants are about to be evicted. I feel lighter. Free," she said. "And Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to share the 'Before' photo with you all … until then make YOU a priority."
