Just hours after publicly coming out, Braunwyn Windham-Burke is giving her social media followers a peek into her new love life.
On her Instagram Story, the "Real Housewives of Orange County" star shared a photo with her girlfriend. Braunwyn didn't comment on the image, but she added a rainbow flag emoji and two heart emojis.
People magazine reported that Braunwyn's partner's name is Kris.
In publicly coming out on Dec. 2, Braunwyn, 43, became the first openly gay "Housewives" star.
"I'm finally comfortable enough to say I like women. I'm gay," she revealed during an interview with GLAAD. "I'm a member of the LGBTQ+ community. I'm a lesbian. It has taken me 42 years to say that but I am so proud of where I am right now. I'm so happy where I am. To be able to be comfortable in my own skin after so long is just so nice."
Despite her sexuality and her reveal that she currently has a girlfriend, Braunwyn plans to stay married to Sean Burke, her husband of 20 years and father of their seven children. Braunwyn notes that she and Sean sleep in separate bedrooms, and he has met Kris.
Not long after her reveal, Sean took to social media to publicly support his wife.
"I love you. I'm proud of you. And I support you. Always," he captioned a photo with Braunwyn.
While there is no romance between Braunwyn and Sean, there is love and respect.
"I love Sean. I love him dearly, he is my person, he is my family. But I'm not attracted to men and I never have been," Braunwyn said in her GLAAD interview, adding that her attraction to women "became something that I didn't want to hide anymore and I didn't want to keep secret anymore."
She added, "I want to be able to go out to dinner with whoever I want without judgment."
