JAY-Z and Beyonce's Oscars afterparty vs. Madonna and Guy Oseary's: Who wins?
JAY-Z and Beyonce threw their first Oscars afterparty this year in the garage of the Chateau Marmont hotel on the Sunset Strip. It was so exclusive that "close friends with Jay… didn't even know if they were invited," an insider told Page Six. "They wanted to mind-f— everyone and keep everything mysterious and exclusive." Only about 200 guests made it inside the casino-themed space, adds Page Six, where stars including Daniel Kaluuya, Drake, Rihanna, Danai Gurira, Jamie Foxx and Stevie Wonder let loose because, said another source, "they knew they were not under the microscope of prying eyes." Though it was a great and incredibly private and exclusive soiree — and one Bey and Jay plan to make an annual tradition, the New York Post's gossip column reported — it seems it still was no match for Madonna and manager Guy Oseary's annual Oscars after-afterparty, which for years has been the toughest (and best) ticket in town. Page Six reports that the Material Girl wore a leather dominatrix outfit that matched servers' ensembles and danced with Oscar winner Sam Rockwell and nominee Margot Robbie. Cardi B performed at the private party, which was still going on at 5 a.m. Monday morning! Guests included Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Bradley Cooper, Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, Amy Adams, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Greta Gerwig.

Celebrities and Bachelor Nation react after Arie dumps winner Becca as cameras roll
Finally, Chris Harrison might have been telling the truth: The March 5 finale of "The Bachelor" really was the most dramatic episode ever — and also, many fans feel, the cruelest. After star Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to Becca Kufrin, he then changed his mind and dumped her months later, explaining that he wanted to give it another shot with runner-up Lauren Burnham. Only he invited cameras to capture every sad, painful moment of Becca's humiliation. Fans were both fascinated and outraged as ABC aired the lengthy raw footage of Arie's big diss and Becca's devastated reaction, and members of both Bachelor Nation and the franchise's celebrity fan club quickly sounded off on social media — and no one was happy. Here are some of the best reactions, as collected by ETonline and People.com. First up are the former franchise stars… Ben Higgins: "How did this breakup end up on camera? Seems like a private conversation. We don't belong in this conversation….but im still watching," which was followed by, "But real talk does this mean @jason_mesnick [who also dumped his winner for his runner-up, though did it off-camera] and I are off the hook now??" Molly Mesnick: "Wouldn't you consider learning from the mistakes of those before you – maybe call and ask what NOT to do…like filming the breakup." Sean Lowe: "I don't like this one bit. Shouldn't have filmed." JoJo Fletcher: "STOP.FILMING.HER." J.P. Rosenbaum: "Not in agreement with this made for tv moment." Famous fans were just as uncomfortable… Andy Cohen: "I beg you to edit this footage down!" Josh Gad: "Okay. I just got suckered into #TheBachelor and I'm not going to lie, this is some crazy sh–…like CNN nightly recap of the day crazy sh–. I don't care about this man's crazy ocean blue dream eyes. This is messed up." Zach Braff: "I don't wanna look like this f—ker anymore." Scott Foley: "Go means GO!" "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland, who's dating "The Bachelorette" alum Wells Adams, also chimed in on her Instagram story, saying, "She took [the ring] off. I wouldn't have taken it off before punching him in the face, honestly."
Lee Pace publicly comes out as "a member of the queer community"
"The Hobbit" franchise actor Lee Pace publicly came out as "a member of the queer community" in a series of tweets he posted on March 5. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Halt and Catch Fire" star spoke out following an interview with W that left him miffed after the reporter questioned him about his sexuality, DailyMail.com reported. "I've dated men. I've dated women. I don't know why anyone would care. I'm an actor and I play roles. To be honest, I don't know what to say — I find your question intrusive," he told the mag. Lee took to Twitter to explain his reaction: "In a recent phone interview, I was asked questions that I wasn't expecting and found myself momentarily at a loss for the right words. My privacy is important to me, so I protect it. When interviewed by the media, I keep the focus on my work. As a member of the queer community, I understand the importance of living openly, being counted, and happily owning who I am. That's how I've always lived my life.. …just as it's been important to me to portray queer characters with dignity for my entire career: A Soldier's Girl (Showtime. 2003). The Normal Heart (Broadway. 2011). Halt and Catch Fire (AMC. 2014-2017). Angels in America. (Broadway. NOW.) Onward, with Pride."

Judge refuses to toss Bill Cosby's sexual assault retrial set for April
Bill Cosby's daughter, Ensa, died of renal failure at age 44 last week. But the judge in his aggravated indecent assault case isn't letting that affect court proceedings. Though the Pennsylvania judge offered his condolences, TMZ reported on March 5, he also rejected Bill's lawyer's efforts to get the disgraced comedian's retrial canceled. Bill's first one in 2017 ended in a mistrial after jurors deadlocked. The new trial is set to start on April 2. Meanwhile, TMZ reported, prosecutors are attempting to get the judge to let them add 19 other sexual assault accusers to the case, which the comedy legend's attorneys are fighting.
Barbra Streisand's cloned dogs visit the grave of their "mother"
By now, everyone knows how much Barbra Streisand loves her dogs: She recently made headlines after revealing she'd twice cloned her beloved Samantha, a white Coton du Tulear who died at age 14 in 2017. But on March 5, Babs showed fans just how far her devotion goes when she shared a photo on her Instagram page and website showing her two cloned dogs, Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett, in a red stroller visiting the grave of their "mother," the late Samantha. On her website, she explained that she shared the pic because The New York Times had cropped it and she wanted people to see the whole thing. "I was disappointed that they did change the picture I sent. It was cut in half in the actual Sunday paper (I guess for space purposes), but it destroyed the intent and specialness of the full picture that was shown online. The point is, my little girls were looking at their mother pictured on her tombstone! It's an amazing photo, taken by my longtime and dear assistant, Renata," Barbra explained.
Fans think Kourtney Kardashian and Younes Bendjima are on the rocks
Fans are wondering if there might be trouble brewing for Kourtney Kardashian and young boyfriend Younes Bendjima. They made headlines on March 5 when she unfollowed the boxer-turned-model on Instagram then briefly deleted her Instagram account, as did he. He also unfollowed her and his Instagram account is now private, multiple outlets reported, though, according to Hollywood Life, the two have started following each another once again. What could it all mean? Perhaps nothing: Just hours after split speculation began, the mother-of-three and Younes appeared to join each other for a romantic oceanside date night. Britain's Metro noted on March 6 that both shared video clips from the same beachfront restaurant.
Rick Ross leaves hospital, postpones daughter's $100K Sweet 16 party
After a four-day stay reportedly for serious heart issues, rapper Rick Ross was released from a Miami-area hospital early on March 5, TMZ reported. But with his recovery looming, he's had to cancel daughter Toie Roberts' $100,000 Sweet 16 birthday party, which was set for March 17. Sources close to Rick told TMZ, that the rapper had booked a section of Miami's Casa Casuarina — which was formerly known as the Versace Mansion — nearly seven months ago for Toie's bash." A makeup date has yet to be booked. Rick was rushed to the hospital and spent time in the ICU last week after a 911 call was made revealing he'd been found unresponsive at home and was "slobbing out the mouth," TMZ previously reported.
Adriana Lima might be single again
Model Adriana Lima might be a single lady once again, Page Six speculates. Nearly nine months after she hooked up with Turkish New Age guru Metin Hara, she's been spending a lot of time without him. She partied solo on Oscar night and, Page Six points out, "spent much of February in Rio de Janeiro for Carnival. On Valentine's Day, she posted an ode to the strength of women on Instagram." Metin hasn't appeared on her Instagram feed since November, when she celebrated their five-month dating anniversary. And Metin, the New York Post's gossip column points out, posted a cryptic message with an old photo of Adriana back in February: "She was the poem I always wanted to write… #lovewins," it read.

Frances McDormand fangirls with Gal Gadot, Tiffany Haddish
Celebrities are not immune from their own fangirl moments. When Gal Gadot and Tiffany Haddish saw best actress Oscar winner Frances McDormand at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on March 4, they lost it and went in for hugs (via JustJared). Or was it Frances who freaked out and went after Gal and Tiffany? Either way, there was a lot of love between all three women, who've had quite a wild last year with Gal's "Wonder Woman" success, Tiffany's "Girls Trip" breakout and Frances' award season sweep. (In addition to her win at the Oscars for her performance in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri," she also won the best actress prizes at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, Independent Spirit Awards and BAFTA Awards.)
