Another one bites the dust. Five months after they got engaged on national TV, Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi have ended their engagement. "It's with a great amount of heartbreak for the both us as we have decided to end our engagement," the couple told E! in a statement. "We gave this relationship our all and we are saddened that we did not get the fairytale ending we hoped for. We will continue to be there for each other no matter what. This hasn't been an easy decision, however, as we part ways, we do so with lots of love and admiration for each other." Finding love seems to be a tricky thing for Nick — he's appeared on two seasons of "The Bachelorette" and one season of "Bachelor in Paradise." He may want to take a more traditional approach to dating next time.

New music, album
Finally, confirmation! For months, we've been hearing that Taylor Swift would be releasing new music. This week, it all came to fruition. Just before midnight on Aug. 24, Taylor released "Look What You Made Me Do," the first single from her upcoming sixth album, "Reputation." Over the previous several days, Taylor mysteriously wiped her social media pages and started posting video clips of a slithering snake before ultimately making her big announcement that new music was coming ("Reputation" will be released on Nov. 10). She also shared that she'll debut the video for her new single during the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 27. For Swifties, that can't come soon enough.

Custody drama
Police were called to calm a dispute between Jon and Kate Gosselin at a dentist's office on Aug 22. No one was arrested. According to TMZ, Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, police were called after Jon and Kate argued about who had custody of one of their 13-year-old girls. A police spokesman told "ET" that the girl ended up leaving with Jon, as she had desired. "There was a fairly lengthy argument as far as both parents had conflicting versions of a child custody agreement," the spokesman added. "Basically, both stated something different and we referred the matter over to our county district attorney. The district attorney then reviewed it and … the district attorney's words were that the order was sufficiently vague to interpret who was supposed to actually have custody today. Both parents read their version of the order and thought they should have had custody of the child today. So, we referred them back to the court system to try and get clarification from the court system on who's supposed to have the child on certain days." The incident followed another contentious custody dispute between the former couple: On Aug. 23, In Touch reported that Jon and Kate's daughter Hannah was taken to the hospital after Kate tried to pull her from Jon's vehicle in a tense three-hour showdown during a custody hand-off on Aug. 15 in a Pennsylvania parking lot.

Nude photo hack
Another hack has wreaked havoc in Hollywood. This week, a website published nude photos of several celebrities including Kristen Stewart, Dakota Johnson, Miley Cyrus, Katharine McPhee and Tiger Woods and ex-girlfriend Lindsey Vonn. The Tiger and Lindsey images were reportedly hacked from the Olympic skier's phone. The site also published revealing images of K-Stew and her girlfriend, model Stella Maxwell — who also appears in topless shots with Miley. Several of the stars have threatened legal action, including Kristen and Stella, who hold that the images are a violation of copyright laws since they didn't give permission for their private pictures to be published. It's not known how the celeb site got the photos.

"I'm a little tired but feeling good," she told the publication after a photo shoot with her brother, George Byrne. "Everyone was very sweet on set today, and you always get a little bit more attention when you're pregnant, which is fabulous." Rose and Bobby are already parents to a 1-year-old son, Rocco.

Legendary entertainer and comedian Jerry Lewis died on Aug. 20 at his home in Las Vegas. During his life, it was estimated that he raised about $2 billion for the Muscular Dystrophy Association through his telethons.
STD lawsuit update
A month after a woman filed a $20 million lawsuit against Usher alleging he gave her an STD, the singer finally responded and asked a judge to dismiss the claim, TMZ reported on Aug. 24. Usher said in court documents that the woman, Jane Doe, can't offer up any proof that he gave her an STD. "A previous sexual partner very well may have already infected her," he writes in court documents, implying she could have gotten infected before or after their alleged hookup. In his argument, he says the woman should burden the blame, writing she should have known the risks involved in having "casual, unprotected sexual intercourse and/or oral sex."
A soak for a joke
Simon Cowell found out that Mel B is not one to mess with. While filming an episode of "America's Got Talent" on Aug. 22, Simon made a crude joke while comparing a failed stage act to Mel's wedding night. "I kind of imagine this would be like Mel B's wedding night," he said. "A lot of anticipation, not much promise or delivery." Mel responded by throwing the contents of her drink at Simon, drenching him. Fellow "AGT" judge Heidi Klum told Us Weekly, "I mean, you know, [Simon] was pretty harsh today. So he deserves getting wet from her. I knew it was coming too. She's not going to take that from him."
