The royal family is growing again. On Sept. 4, Kensington Palace announced that Prince William and Duchess Kate are expecting a sibling for Prince George and Princess Charlotte. "Their royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child," the palace said in a statement posted to Twitter. "The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news." The statement also said that Kate is again suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, better known as acute morning sickness. While attending the National Mental Health and Policing conference in Oxford, England, on Sept. 5, Will opened up about the pregnancy. "It's very good news," he said. "There's not much sleep going on at the moment."
Cheating and extortion scandal
Kevin Hart found himself on the wrong end of a cheating scandal this month after he was accused of being unfaithful to his pregnant second wife, Eniko Parrish. "I made a bad error in judgement and put myself in an environment where only bad things can happen, and they did," he said in an Instagram apology on Sept. 16, admitting that he was "wrong." The whole thing went public after someone tried to extort Kevin out of $10 million to keep the cheating allegations — and a mysterious video — from seeing the light of day. According to TMZ, a video shot in Las Vegas in August shows Kevin and aspiring singer-actress Montia Sabbag embracing as well as unidentified people making sexually charged sounds. "At the end of the day, I gotta do better," Kevin said, "but I'm also not going to allow a person to have financial gain off of my mistakes, and in this particular situation, that's what was attempted." Montia gave a press conference to deny any involvement with the extortion plot — she claims she's a victim just like the comedian. In a Sept. 25 interview with DailyMail.com, she further claimed she flew to Vegas on a private plane with Kevin and had sex with him in his hotel suite three times over three days. Kevin's wife is reportedly standing by his side.

Abuse allegation
Ryan Phillippe's ex-girlfriend has accused him of domestic violence, it was revealed on Sept. 18. He has denied her claims, and according to TMZ, he plans to sue her for defamation and has insisted she was the aggressor. Elsie Hewitt, a model who dated Ryan earlier this year, claims she was assaulted on July 4 at his home. In court documents obtained by The Blast, she said Ryan "hit," "kicked," "punched" and "threw [Hewitt] down flight of stairs causing visible injuries to legs back, arms, shoulder and face." Ryan's camp released this statement: "As a staunch advocate for the health, well-being and equality of women, Ryan is completely devastated that these false allegations have been made and circulated. Domestic violence is an incredibly serious issue and fabricated and proven false claims should not be used to unjustly slander the falsely accused. The claims are false." The L.A. City Attorney has declined to file charges following an investigation.

Surprise pregnancy
Kylie Jenner is going to be a mom. That's right — the reality TV star is pregnant with her first child. On Sept. 22, media outlets and Twitter were sent into a tizzy when multiple outlets began reporting that Kylie was expecting with her boyfriend of five months, rapper Travis Scott. TMZ broke the news, and People magazine later confirmed it. "They started telling friends a few weeks ago. The family has known for quite some time. She is REALLY excited and so is Travis!" a source told the mag. Another insider, however, says the family has some concerns. "Kylie is very naive," the insider said. "Spending time with other people's kids is obviously completely different than being a mom 24/7. Kylie of course has no idea about all the hard work and sleepless nights." According to TMZ, Kylie, who stepped out in Las Vegas wearing a baggy T-shirt that hid her bump one day after the news broke, is five months along with a baby girl. But she's not the only member of her famous family with a bun in the oven…
Also expecting
Khloe Kardashian is also reportedly pregnant with her first child! TMZ, People magazine and Us Weekly reported on Sept. 26 that the reality TV star is expecting a baby with her boyfriend of about a year, basketball star Tristan Thompson. She's reportedly three months along and, according to TMZ, "conceived naturally." It's currently unknown whether she's expecting a boy or a girl. (Tristan has a 9-month-old son, Prince, with his ex-girlfriend, Jordan Craig.)
Engaged
Mandy Moore is engaged! But neither the "This Is Us" star nor her man, musician Taylor Goldsmith, broke the news. In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight," Mandy's co-star Chris Sullivan said, "I was just in the studio with her boyfriend, well, now fiance, Taylor." He added that she told her on-screen family the news in a group text. "She just sent out an alert over our family text chain, so I can't wait to hear about it," he explained. "She just sent a photo and just wanted us all to know that this just happened, and so then we went on a response spree for about a day and a half." Mandy and Taylor have been dating for more than two years. Journalist Marc Malkin said they got engaged at their home on Sept. 11. Mandy was seen showing off her ring over Emmys weekend.
Public debut
In a story released by Vanity Fair on Sept. 5, Meghan Markle spoke for the very first time about dating the world's most eligible bachelor, Prince Harry. "I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it's really simple. We're two people who are really happy and in love," she said. A few weeks later, they upped the ante when they stepped out for Harry's beloved Invictus Games in Toronto, where she shoots "Suits." Though they sat apart for their first public event as a couple on Sept. 23, they emerged on Sept. 25 holding hands as they walked to a wheelchair tennis event, which they watched sitting side by side.
Yep, we're dating
For years (actually, yes, four exactly!) Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx denied that they were secretly dating. But they can no longer deny it! On Sept. 6, the Daily Mail published photos of the undercover lovers walking hand-in-hand on the beach in Malibu. The newspaper also published a video of the couple playing in the ocean and along the beach. They looked happy, and maybe relieved, to finally stop hiding their romance. This all leads to the question of why it took so long for them to go public. A 2016 RadarOnline report claimed it's because of a clause in Katie's divorce settlement with Tom Cruise that allegedly prevented her from dating anyone publicly for five years following their split. That report was never confirmed, but late August marked five years since Katie and Tom were officially divorced. Just a couple weeks later, Katie and Jamie were photographed out in public. Coincidence?
Kidney transplant
Selena Gomez was pretty quiet over the summer, despite the fact that she had new music to promote. On Sept. 14, we found out why. Selena revealed that in the summer of 2017, she underwent a kidney transplant and that her best friend was her donor. In an Instagram post, Selena shared an image from her hospital bed showing her holding hands with Francia Raisa, her donor. "I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health," she wrote. "I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery. And finally, there aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made."
Splitsville
Fergie and Josh Duhamel announced on Sept. 14 that they've split after eight years of marriage. "With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year," the stars said in a joint statement. "To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family." The duo share a son, 4-year-old Axl.
Fibromyalgia struggle
All has not been well for Lady Gaga. The singer revealed on Sept. 12 that she suffers from fibromyalgia, which has been suspected for years by others who have the same condition. In her new documentary, "Gaga: Five Foot Two," she details her battle with fibromyalgia, which is a disorder that causes widespread muscle pain and tenderness. "In our documentary the #chronicillness #chronicpain I deal w/ is #Fibromyalgia," she wrote on Twitter. "I wish to help raise awareness & connect people who have it." On Sept. 18, she announced that due to pain, she was postponing her European tour, where she was supposed to perform from Sept. 21 to Oct. 28. She also canceled her Rock in Rio concert appearance, which was scheduled for Sept. 15.
Messy split
Less than a year after tying the knot, "The Hills" star Audrina Patridge is divorcing Corey Bohan, alleging both emotional and physical abuse. The reality TV star was granted a temporary restraining order against her husband on Sept. 18. In court documents, Audrina claimed that not only has Corey been both emotionally abusive via name-calling and harassing, but that he's also been physically abusive, even once pushing her while she was holding their 15-month-old daughter, Kirra. She also claimed he's suicidal and she's worried he could abduct their baby, saying he "might obtain a passport to her and take her to Australia without my consent." On Sept. 25, TMZ reported that Orange County, California, authorities have decided there isn't enough evidence to pursue a prosecution of the BMX pro, who was photographed meeting Audrina in a public place one day earlier for a custody exchange.
Lung cancer
Legendary TV host Larry King revealed that he was secretly diagnosed with lung cancer, but is now on the mend. "It wasn't really a battle. It was really strange, Mario," he told "Extra" host Mario Lopez on Sept. 13. "I have a checkup every year. I've gone through a lot in my life — I've had a heart attack and heart surgery. Part of my checkup is the chest X-ray, and that is the protocol. I do it every year… it was always normal. Then the doctor says, 'I see a little spot here. Let's do a CAT scan, so they do a CAT scan, and they say, 'Let's do a PET scan'… I don't think there are any other scans." On July 17, he underwent surgery to remove the spot. "They were going to take it out if it was malignant or benign. They tested it. They said, 'You are fine.' It was stage I," Larry said. "I had no clue at all. If I had not had the chest X-ray, it would have progressed."
Baby No. 2
Congrats are in order for Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo — their household is about to get a lot busier. On Sept. 13, the model announced on Instagram that they were expecting their second child. "ROUND 2…..," she captioned a bikini mirror selfie in which her baby bump could clearly be seen. The couple welcomed daughter Dusty Rose Levine in September 2016. In March, the music star called fatherhood "the greatest thing in the world."
Officially divorced
Scarlett Johansson is a single woman. On Sept. 13, Scarlett and ex Romain Dauriac finalized their divorce, multiple outlets reported. In addition, the former duo also submitted a sealed settlement in Manhattan Supreme Court concerning custody of their 3-year-old daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac. Details of the settlement are not known. The custody battle began earlier this year when the actress sued her ex and asked for primary custody of their child. Romain fought her request and his attorney revealed that he wanted to raise Rose in his native France. He also argued that Scarlett couldn't raise the child effectively because she travels too much for work. ScarJo is now dating "Saturday Night Live" star Colin Jost. "She's pretty cool… It's hard to have a lot of complaints, she's pretty awesome," he gushed to "Entertainment Tonight" at the Emmys on Sept. 17.
Custody dispute settled
Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have settled their custody battle over their daughter, Dream. On Sept. 15, TMZ reported that an agreement was finally in place. Under the terms of the deal, Rob gets Dream a little more than 50 percent of the time. He will also pay Chyna $20,000 a month in child support, most of which Rob thinks will go to nannies. In return, she agreed to drop her domestic violence allegations against him. Rob has also agreed to pay her legal fees. That wasn't the only time the former duo made news this month either. On Sept. 11, there were reports that child services officials were concerned about Dream's well-being after Rob claimed his ex was a drug abuser. Chyna has claimed he was physically abusive at times. TMZ reported that officials went to L.A. County Dependency Court to ask a judge to determine if the baby girl was safe. Us Weekly, though, claims that's not true and that there isn't an investigation and never was. Their days in court are not over though. Chyna is still reportedly pursuing her revenge porn case against Rob, stemming from his July meltdown in which he posted nude pictures of her on his social media pages.
Stage II cancer
"Dog the Bounty Hunter" star Beth Chapman was diagnosed with stage II throat cancer, it was revealed on Sept. 14. Husband Duane "Dog" Chapman confirmed the news on Facebook the following day. The reality star told friends about her diagnosis in a letter obtained by RadarOnline. "I've been dealt my share of unexpected blows over the course of my almost fifty years but nothing as serious as the one I heard from my doctors two weeks ago when they uttered those dreaded three words, 'You have cancer,'" she wrote. "After months of a nagging cough, a routine checkup resulted in a diagnosis of stage 2 throat cancer. I have what is referred to as a T2 Tumor in my throat that is blocking my breathing. My doctors are suggesting immediate treatment and surgery before the disease progresses." She vowed to "fight every step of the way." On Sept. 16, the Honolulu Star Advisor reported that Beth had completed her first round of surgery. "Her doctor said we won round one," Dog said. "We will know more later this week. Mahalo to everyone for their prayers."
Heartbreaking news
Jonathan Rhys Meyers' wife, Mara Lane, shared some absolutely heartbreaking news on Sept. 9 when she revealed that she had miscarried their second child. Mara posted the news on Instagram after the actor, who's long battled alcohol issues, was seen heavily intoxicated at an airport. She implied his relapse was sparked by their devastating news. "With much sadness, we open our hearts to share that J and I lost our second child, who was baking in the oven. Child was very very much wanted (right now especially by J, so he took the news particularly not so well) and we are still working with coping skills over here…" she wrote. The actor went through detox after the airport incident, Mara confirmed. On Sept. 12, she shared the video in which she discovers that she lost the baby and revealed she buried their child at the foot of a tree near their home. The couple put on a united front when they stepped out together for the premiere of his film "Damascus Cover" at the Boston Film Festival on Sept. 23.
Brain tumor
Kate Walsh revealed that she quietly had a brain tumor removed in 2015. Doctors caught the tumor early. In an interview with "Today" on Sept. 18, the former "Private Practice" star said she was exhausted in 2015 and her symptoms didn't get better. Suddenly, she couldn't finish thoughts or words. "It was subtle, then it got pretty apparent pretty quick," she said. After an MRI, she was told that she had a "pretty sizable" brain tumor in her front left lobe. It turned out to be benign, but that wasn't discovered until after the surgery. Before her ordeal, she said, "The words 'brain tumor' were not even in my consciousness." She's now a paid spokeswoman for Cigna health insurance.
Accidents, pills, rehab
It was Sept. 22 when Aaron Carter fans finally heard the news they'd been hoping for: Aaron was headed to rehab to get help. That capped off a scary month for the singer. Let's just start from the top. On Sept. 5, he tweeted that he got into a car accident and totaled his BMW. "Life is really so precious, I just got into a terrible accident and completely totaled my BMW M4," he wrote. Police later determined he was at fault and cited him. Then, over a 24-hour period, police showed up to his Florida home three times, all because of anonymous phone calls. The first caller said Aaron had been trying to buy a gun. When cops got there, no one answered the door, so they left. Two hours later, a caller said Aaron needed a psychiatric evaluation because he'd refused medical attention after the car accident. This time, police were able to make contact with Aaron and found out he had been in a crash and broke his nose but was fine. Then, a third caller, in the early morning hours of Sept. 6, said Aaron was threatening to harm family and others. On that occasion, TMZ said, "Cops showed up, knocked on the door but someone shut off a light and closed the blinds." But it wasn't over. On the evening of Sept. 6, cops again returned to his home after a friend reported that Aaron had threatened to commit suicide. Cops weren't able to communicate with him. His rep, though, said all was fine. Later, on an episode of the "The Doctors" that aired in mid-September, the pop star tested positive for a slew of prescription drugs (but he was clean of hardcore drugs like meth, heroin and cocaine). He was then invited to enter rehab for free to get his life in order. He declined. It was around this same time that Page Six reported that his family was desperately trying to stage an intervention. Then, on Sept. 19, he abruptly canceled two upcoming South Carolina shows set for October. On Sept. 21, cops again responded to his house, this time for what equated to a welfare check. He was fine. But he entered rehab the following day. Get all that?
Another Duggar
Another Duggar baby is here. More than two years after his molestation and cheating scandals rocked his reality TV family, Josh Duggar and wife Anna welcomed their fifth child, a son they named Mason Garrett. He was born on Sept. 12. "Both he and Anna are doing well. He arrived today without complication and we already adore him," it said in a family blog post.
Tragic news
Rosie O'Donnell's ex-wife Michelle Rounds was found dead in her home on Sept. 11 after an apparent suicide. Michelle was 46. An autopsy was reportedly performed on Sept. 12 and no trauma was found on her body. The toxicology testing will determine the cause and manner of death, which is unknown at this point. But that wasn't the only sad news for Rosie in September. On Sept. 19, her estranged daughter, Chelsea, told the Daily Mail that she is pregnant with her first child but has no desire for Rosie to be in their lives.
