Justin Theroux is in a major spat with his New York City neighbor and it's all the actor's fault, or so says the neighbor.
For several months, Justin and his wife, Jennifer Aniston, have been renovating their Greenwich Village place, but their downstairs neighbor, Norman Resnicow, is not to pleased about it. Justin claims the man is making their lives a living hell, and back in May he sued Norman for $350,000 and punitive damages for what amounts to harassment.
In his legal response, obtained by TMZ, the man says it's actually the opposite and Justin is making life hell.
Norman says he and his wife have been "terrorized" by Justin's alleged "rude behavior." The neighbor claims Justin's dogs bark constantly because they are often left unattended. He also says he often hears "The Leftovers" star dropping heavy weights on the floor in the early morning hours. He even cited he's heard "angry outbursts."
Norman's main complaint is he wants Justin to soundproof the unit, but Justin refuses.
Justin's lawsuit alleges that Norman said threatened to create a PR nightmare for the high-profile couple if they didn't succumb to his wishes. In the May suit, the actor says Norman also threatened to cut the water and electricity lines to Justin's roof deck.
TMZ said the two men did weren't always at each other's throats. In the court docs, Norman even said he and Jen's hubby have had "friendly relations and cooperation." Because of this, he said Justin's allegations are "as fictional as the television series in which he recently starred."
At the time of the initial lawsuit in May, Norman told TMZ, "I have acted for one purpose only, which remains to assure my and my wife's health and safety. Smart people can work [this] out and both my wife and I and Justin are represented by smart people."
