Although she only filed for divorce in July, Kacey Musgraves and her ex have almost completely dotted the i's and crossed the t's in their legal split.
TMZ reports that they've finalized the terms of their divorce, and it's now only left up to a judge to formally sign the divorce decree.
The split between the country superstar and singer-songwriter Ruston Kelly has gone very smoothly. The former couple is putting their marital home on the market. When it sells, Kacey gets 84.4 percent of the proceeds, while Ruston gets the rest.
The duo had a prenuptial agreement in place when they wed, and they both agreed that it's valid, so there has been little-to-no bickering about splitting property.
When Kacey filed for divorce on July 3, the duo released a joint statement that said they're on the same page.
"We believe that we were put into each other's lives for a divine reason and have both changed each other infinitely for the better," the statement read. "The love we have for each other goes far beyond the relationship we've shared as husband and wife. It's a soul connection that can never be erased."
"We've made this painful decision together — a healthy decision that comes after a very long period of trying the best we can. It simply just didn't work," the statement continued. "Though we are parting ways in marriage, we will remain true friends for the rest of our lives. We hold no blame, anger, or contempt for each other and we ask for privacy and positive wishes for us both as we learn how to navigate through this."
Proving that there are no hard feelings, Ruston even publicly wished Kacey happy birthday last month.
"Anyone who knows your heart, your kindness, your humor and compassion… are made better people by it," he wrote on Instagram alongside a black-and-white picture of the "Rainbow" singer. "I got your back."
