Welcome to the show, Kathy Hilton.
After months of rumors, it's being reported that Kathy Hilton is officially joining "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," but she won't be holding a diamond. Instead, Paris and Nicky Hilton's mom will be cast as "a friend of the show," TMZ said.
According to the report, Kathy and Bravo finalized the deal last week, paving the way for her to make regular appearances, but not be saddled with the responsibilities of a full-time cast member, such as attending the reunion shows.
Kathy, the sister of current reality star Kyle Richards and former star Kim Richards, has appeared briefly on "RHOBH" several times before.
Speculation about Kathy's potential involvement in the show is nothing new. In fact, last year rumors circulated that she could become a full-time member of the show.
"I would be happy if my sister joined," Kyle said on "Watch What Happens Live" as rumors surfaced. "I've had one sister on, why not have another sister on."
Kyle added that Kathy is "one of the funniest people there is."
"She's a practical joker and she's very, very funny," Kyle said, "so I think she'd be an amazing Housewife actually."
Kathy's news sparks a busy week for the 90210 franchise. On Oct. 26, it was announced that Crystal Kung Minkoff, the founder of Real Coco and wife of filmmaker Rob Minkoff, was joining the cast of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." The mother of two will be the first Asian-American Housewife on "RHOBH." In fact, Kathy even commented on an Instagram photo that Crystal posted.
"All dressed up with somewhere to go," the new full time "Housewife" captioned a photo from her home.
Kathy replied, "Oh yes you do!!! Looking like a boss Mama."
