Last June, Lance Bass stepped in and officiated Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's wedding after they fired their homophobic pastor. This June, the former NSYNCer is predicting doom for Jax's reality TV career.
Following Bravo's ouster of four "Vanderpump Rules" stars last week — Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni — there is building pressure on the network to fire Jax as well, due to his past comments about fellow costars.
In 2017, he accused former "Vanderpump" star Faith Stowers of a crime, as did Stassi and Kristen.
"She's wanted by the police for grand theft auto and 'awol' from military, bad idea to be on a reality show dude," he tweeted in 2017. "Someone's going to jail."
He's also accused of making bi-phobic comments about Ariana Madix's sexuality, TooFab reported. Further, "90 Day Fiance" star Ashley Martson said Jax made racist comments about her husband Jay Smith, who's black.
Lance, who is very close with Lisa Vanderpump, said he spoke to Jax about his comments, particularly what he said about Jay's nose. "Your mans nose is the size of his head…," Jax wrote to Ashley in 2018, according to TooFab.
"I feel like I'm the only person that [Jax] actually heard it from," Lance said. "He was like, 'I don't understand this big nose thing.' He goes, 'Jewish people have big noses!' Well yeah, you can't make fun of Jewish people or Black people for their nose. He could not see it."
Lance added, "He will lose out. Look, I do not see Bravo keeping him. I have a feeling, soon, it's gonna be done because this will get bigger and bigger."
Jax's words and tweets will "cost him everything," Lance said, adding that the reality TV star is "stepping down" from their Just Add X partnership.
"You know, we have to," Lance continued. "We can't be involved and associated with any of this going down. We have to do the right thing."
Jax's rep, though, countered Lance's claims.
"Last week the Just Add X website had been hacked, showcasing some hateful slurs, which Jax felt horrible about. In an emotional state, Jax had texted Lance and the Just Add X team offering to step down from the company if that was the direction they wanted to take," the rep said. "The team immediately followed up with a phone call with Lance and the team reassured and fully supported him."
"It was decided that Jax would continue to stay on the team and that they all had his back given these unpredictable times," the rep continued. "The statements from Lance on the podcast today are not only untrue but also extremely confusing and shocking to say the least. Jax is still very much a partner and founder of Just Add X and supports the team and the brand whole-heartedly. This has been a tough time for everyone involved, especially with the critical state of Brittany's mother in the ICU, their focus has been on that."
