Pamela Anderson believes there's a direct correlation between food and fun in the bedroom.
During an appearance on "Good Morning Britain," the former "Baywatch" beauty, who's been vegan for the past 30 years, made host Piers Morgan blush while discussing details of her love life. At one point, Piers asked if vegans make for better lovers.
"That's what I hear. I'm vegan. I'm fairly confident in that statement," she said on Jan. 18. "Absolutely, I think. But I think I've always had a lot of fun in that department."
As for why she's so confident in her stance, she said, "A lot of research went in to this."
Piers' question stemmed from a tweet Pam made over the weekend that read, "Vegans make better lovers. The cholesterol in meat, eggs and dairy causes hardening of the arteries (and not much else!)"
She added, "It slows blood flow to all the body's organs, not just the heart. You can improve your overall health and increase stamina in the bedroom by going vegan. A healthy body is a sexy body, and eating meat ISN'T healthy. It's been linked to heart disease, diabetes, strokes, and obesity – which are major causes of erectile dysfunction."
"No one needs to eat meat, since we can get everything we need from a healthy, vegan diet," she said.
Pam also claimed that vegan diets can help prevent future pandemics.
"COVID-19 and other deadly viruses like SARS, MERS, swine flu, and bird flu all spread from animals to humans. More viruses are sure to follow, since factory farms, live animal markets, and slaughterhouses are the perfect breeding ground for deadly diseases," she wrote. "Tofu, however, has never caused a pandemic!"
