There are a whole lot of people in Grapevine, Texas, rocking new Crocs today, and it's all thanks to Post Malone.
While the rapper's Post Malone x Crocs Duet Max Clog II sold out within hours of their release on Dec. 8, Posty wanted to do something nice for his former high school, so he gifted a pair to every single student and faculty member there, TMZ reported.
After taking into account Grapevine High School's student body of 1,900 and its 100 teachers, that's about 2,000 custom Crocs.
Grapevine High's principal, Alex Fingers, told the school that Post saw the students and faculty being good "global citizens" and "good local citizens" amid the pandemic and wanted to reward them.
While donning the new Crocs, the principal said, "One of our own, Grapevine High School graduate Post Malone has noticed your work and decided to give you guys a little bit of something to send you into the holiday season on the right foot."
TMZ said a Google spreadsheet was distributed throughout the entire school last week, where everyone was told to put down their shoe size. At the time, they didn't know the reason for the questionnaire. After the foot sizes were all gathered, the announcement was made.
Principal Fingers said Post "loves Grapevine High School and the community that raised him here, and he wanted to do something to give back to the community that nurtured him and allowed him to have the levels of success that he's had."
On Dec. 8, Principal Fingers even tweeted out pictures of the kids receiving their new kicks.
"Thank you @PostMalone for always giving back to your community!" Principal Fingers wrote. "Your fellow @Grapevine_HS Mustangs are so proud of your success! #ThanksPosty #Posty."
As one of the few schools in the country open right now, the shoes were reportedly distributed in the safest way possible.
