"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" are ready to take center stage again.
The Garden State girls will resume filming "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" soon, TMZ is reporting. Back in March, Bravo halted all filming of the "Housewives" franchise due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In their TV return, the women will go through multiple safety protocols, including daily temperature checks. In addition, producers are hoping to film as many scenes as possible outdoors and keep the women away from large crowds. The report noted that the cast will not be required to wear masks, but the crew will.
TMZ added the storylines will lean heavily on Teresa Giudice and her family. Ever since her estranged husband, Joe Giudice, got deported to Italy last year, they've been doing their best to co-parent. Although the duo announced their split last December, they've reportedly been speaking often on the phone and on FaceTime. Teresa and Joe's conversations, however, are not romantic and are believed to center mostly on their four daughters.
Bravo is also not expected to send a crew to Italy for Joe.
The fact that the show is starting up may come as a bit of a surprise as cases of the coronavirus are rising in New Jersey. On Tuesday alone there were 565 new confirmed cases, the state's highest daily total since early June.
After lying dormant for several months, business is about to pickup for the "Housewives" franchise. "The Real Housewives of Orange County" resumed filming its latest season just a few weeks ago, despite Shannon Beador's positive COVID-19 test.
Page Six reported that "The Real Housewives of New York City" will film an in-person reunion show next week. "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" also recently resumed filming.
