Scott Baio is not cool with an idea being floated of John Stamos replacing him at an upcoming "Happy Days" reunion, so he took his frustrations out on… Lori Loughlin.
This weekend, much of the cast of the iconic sitcom will get together on behalf of the Democratic party. Scott, who played Chachi on "Happy Days," has long been a very outspoken supporter of President Trump and will not participate.
On Oct. 19, upon seeing a tweet about the Scott-less reunion, John replied, "Can I play Chachi?"
The tweet seemed to rub Scott the wrong way. Not only did he criticize John (and all Democrats, frankly), he also took a shot at Lori, who played John's on-screen wife on "Fuller House."
"Shouldn't you be taking care of Aunt Becky?" Scott wrote on Oct. 20, clearly referring to Lori's college admissions case, which will see her serving two months in prison beginning next month.
The idea of John stepping in to play Chachi was met with very differing point of views, depending on whose Twitter feed you read. John's 1.6 million Twitter followers seemed to love the idea, indicating they'd happily make a donation to watch him play Chachi. Scott's 474,000 followers were vehemently opposed to seeing anyone else in the role.
"This is what Hollywood has come to. #shameful #LiberalsAreDesperate," Scott said of John's substitution idea. He also retweeted someone's response that referenced Lori, perhaps giving him the idea to tweet his own shade. "Shouldnt uncle Jessie be trying to bail out Becky?" the message said.
It seems that Scott wasn't always at odds with John. In fact, the "Happy Days" star appeared opposite John on "Full House" in 1989.
