Country music's biggest stars aligned for the 2017 CMA Awards in Nashville on Nov. 8 — and it was a night of interesting fashion, to say the least! Wonderwall.com rounded up the best and worst celeb style moments from the red carpet, starting with Faith Hill's divisive getup. The singer looked like she'd taken her style inspo from "Dynasty" in a sparkly Armani Privé gown with embroidered crystals and, as the fashion house describes it, "an exaggerated shoulder of fanned crinoline" over which the singer looked like she could barely see. We didn't hate everything about her look, though. Keep reading to get a closer look at her hair and makeup, plus check out more of the evening's biggest fashion moments…

Faith Hill wisely pulled back her hair into a topknot and wore bold red lips with eye-catching jewelry to elevate the drama factor of her look.

Carrie Underwood also gave us major "Dynasty" vibes with the Fouad Sarkis gown she wore on one of country music's biggest nights. From the mermaid silhouette to the ruffled neckline and sleeves, the whole thing was just, so, SO '80s. Sigh.

Miranda Lambert let loose her inner ice princess in a sleeveless Tony Ward dress with snowflake-like embroidery. If only her belt had been less clunky! It sadly detracts from her otherwise ethereal look.
Where to begin with Maren Morris. The gorgeous singer chose a totally over-the-top sleeveless Francesco Scognamiglio confection with a mesh skirt and ruffles at the bust and hem for one of the most befuddling looks of the evening. We can see this look on Nicki Minaj or Katy Perry, but it's not really the best choice for the country cutie, who tried to match the vibe of the dress with her blinged-out jewelry and chic bob. Unfortunately, this is what we call "letting the dress wear you."
Hot mama! Jessie James Decker taught an important lesson in how to look super-sexy while heavily pregnant in a curve-hugging, off-the-shoulder red Nookie dress.
Hillary Scott also had a chic maternity-wear moment on the red carpet in a velvety floral-print slip dress. We especially love her chunky green velvet sandals — so on-trend! — and the way she brought the drama with her dark lipstick and stick-straight tresses. Her bandmates looked pretty fire, too…
Lady Antebellum was definitely the best-dressed trio of the evening! Charles Kelley wore a black suit with a black button-down featuring a heart-and-flower motif, and Dave Haywood rocked a red suit over a floral-print button-down. Both gentleman wore brown shoes, though we wish Charles had gone with black loafers instead.
We loved everything about Kelsea Ballerini's long-sleeved floral sequin-embellished Michael Kors gown except for the awkward midriff cut-out, which belongs on a much sexier dress. Here, it does absolutely nothing for the beautiful blonde, who had one of our favorite makeup looks of the evening…
Kelsea Ballerini channeled Old Hollywood and wore her long blonde locks in loose waves. She accessorized with David Yurman earrings and wore a gold clip in her hair to coordinate with her dress. She also went with soft and neutral makeup to avoid contrasting with the intricate detailing on her gown. Well done!
Woah, cowboy! Dustin Lynch sure was hard to miss in a silver three-piece suit, which he wore with black shoes, a bow tie and a black cowboy hat. Any one of those three pieces would've been enough, but all three together was a little much, in our opinion.
Pink looked lovely in a voluminous white gown with a plunging neckline and a skirt of tiered ruffles, which she wore with a black belt. It was an unexpectedly feminine choice for the punky singer, and we have to say: We're into it!
For a brief moment, we were kinda into Kellie Pickler's dress. Then we got a closer look at the feathered frock — specifically at the sleeves — and determined that there was just WAY too much going on here. The green ombre detailing on the skirt is just fine, but the bodice looks like someone spattered tar across the singer's arms and torso, which doesn't exactly conjure a great image considering feathers are also involved.
Lea Michele also embraced the feathered-sleeves trend (please don't let this be a thing) in a sparkly Zuhair Murad embroidered mico-minidress with black detailing along the waist. Sadly, the sleeves really ruin this look for us.
Tim McGraw played with color — and won! — in a velvety salmon blazer, which he wore with black trousers and a white button-down. He topped off his look with a black bow tie and matching cowboy hat for one of the most country-chic menswear looks of the evening.
Danielle Bradbery looked red-hot in a Leanne Marshall dress with contrasting shades and fabrics and a thigh-high slit. If only the rest of her look had been equally glam…
Danielle Bradbery kept her hair and makeup casual, which was kind of a shame. She looked beautiful, but a dramatic lip and a topknot would've really complemented her red dress.
Cam's Tadashi Shoji dress really gave us mixed messages. On the one hand, the skirt's sheer panels gave the frock a fun and flirty edge. But on the other, the billowy sleeves, high neckline, velvety fabric and black-and-gold color scheme gave the getup a matronly look. Overall, we like this dress but think it would've been better suited on someone much older than the country cutie's 32 years.
Keith Urban sparkled in a brown suit with black lapels, which he wore over a sheer black shirt that also had some shine to it. We don't hate it, but we also don't feel great about using the word "sparkled" in the same sentence as "Keith Urban."
The evening's hottest duo was undoubtedly Dierks Bentley and his wife, Cassidy Black. The couple kept things simple yet chic in all black: He wore a suit, while she donned an off-the-shoulder asymmetrical Tarik Ediz gown with ruffles along the thigh-high slit.
The sparkly jumpsuit that Michelle Monaghan donned during one of country music's biggest nights was truly terrible. From the stirrups on the feet of her pants to the completely open asymmetrical bodice (a wardrobe malfunction just waiting to happen!), it was all bad. We have to say, though: The woman has an amazing body, and we can't really blame her for wanting to show it off.
Even Karlie Kloss failed to impress in a matronly Elie Saab dress with a plunging neckline, a partially sheer skirt and thigh-high slits. (How great would this gown look on someone like Shania Twain?) Unfortunately, the model just doesn't have the boho sense of style to pull it off. Next!
Yep, the men really brought it this year! Niall Horan looked sharp in a crisp suit with gold filigree on the lapels, which he wore with a matching belt.
Lauren Alaina sported yet another example of a dress that would've looked better on an older woman. Her burgundy Vitor Zerbinato gown featured a turtleneck, an oversized keyhole cutout and a peplum waist. We just wish she'd gone with an updo and studs instead of matchy-match drop earrings to highlight the unique structuring of the bust.
Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild was simply swimming in fabric on the red carpet. Her green gown, which featured a tiger-stripe print (ugh), had a high neckline, voluminous skirt and long, billowy sleeves that, sadly, kept her incredible figure under wraps.
Did Drake White miss the memo that Halloween was last week? He apparently wore his best '70s costume on the red carpet during one of country music's biggest nights. We could've given the print bell bottoms a pass, but his leather fringe necklace definitely belonged in another decade. He's lucky he's so handsome!
Brittany Snow brought Hollywood glamour to Nashville in an off-the-shoulder KaufmanFranco gown with midriff cutouts. She accessorized with an Ethan K clutch.
Also on the '80s train, Ruby Rose looked like she'd skinned a disco ball in her silver August Getty Atelier halter dress, which was honestly pretty boring aside from its shimmery fabric.
Reba McEntire's colorblocked illusion dress did wonders for her figure, and while we were fine with the sparkly embellishments across her bodice, we really could've done without the fringe hanging off her shoulders.
Darius Rucker was one of the best dressed men of the evening in an olive green suit, which he wore with brown shoes. That's one way to duck the plain-black-suit trend without going too crazy!
People, people, people, say it with us: "No. More. SHEER." We are so beyond over this trend. Just think about how glamorous Carly Pearce's Hayley Paige dress would've looked if the skirt had been solid, allowing the focus to stay on the lovely embroidery on her bodice. (And don't even get us started on those bizarre sheer sleeves, which inexplicably start at the elbow.)
Sadly, Thomas Rhett went overboard with his accessories. He wore a black suit over a greenish button-down and completed his look with print loafers, a print bow tie and a pocket square. Just one of those details would've been enough!
Kane Brown looked sharp in a burgundy suit, which he paired with a navy floral-print button-down and navy shoes. We just wish he'd chosen tan shoes if he really wanted to tie in the color from his shirt — the burgundy and navy contrast is just a little too much, if you ask us.
And here we have yet another '80s-inspired dress! Meghan Linsey donned a shimmery black one-sleeved gown with a collar that really emphasized her curves.
We love it when guys mix things up on the red carpet, and Chase Bryant did just that in a feather-print jacket, which he wisely paired with an unbuttoned white shirt and black slacks for an extra-cool look. If we're going to nitpick, though, we'd say that the buttons on his button-down probably should've been clear or white.
We know we JUST said that we love it when guys mix things up on the red carpet, but Easton Corbin took it too far in this gold-print smoking jacket, which would've been better suited on someone double the singer's 35 years.
There's rarely so much to say about menswear on the red carpet but the men of Nashville — including Hunter Hayes, who wore a plaid suit jacket with a white button-down and black slacks — really raised the bar!
