Fashion hits and misses from the 2017 ACM Awards

The 52nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards took place in Sin City this year on April 2, 2017! The award show provided plenty of incredible and incredibly awful style, and unfortunately for the fashion misses, these looks aren't going to stay in Las Vegas! First up? Carrie Underwood, who shut down the pink and gray carpet in this stunning nude and silver gown from LaBourjoisie. The superstar's dress featured intricate sparkling detailing down both the bodice and the skirt. Next up, her equally beautiful beauty look — plus more country star style!

Carrie Underwood looked flawless in her beautiful bedazzled gown, and her accessories and makeup provided the perfect accent. We loved how her glamorous drop earrings, which made a floral-like design, and her dramatic smoky eye complemented the show-stopping look.

Jessie James Decker showed plenty of skin on the ACM Awards red carpet. We loved the country star's daring sheer gown, which was embroidered with delicate metallic beading and featured a waist-high slit. But it was what she chose to wear underneath that raised some eyebrows — since she was essentially rocking a pair of briefs and a bralette!

Lauren Alaina's beautiful dusky blue gown with triangle notch detailing at the neckline fit her like a glove — we just wish she'd made more of an effort with her hair!

Not so mellow yellow! Country star Cam donned a bright yellow suit by Topshop and forgot a pretty important element underneath her outfit — a top! Though we appreciate the bold move, this look is a miss. We can't overlook the ill-fitting pants and blazer, or the fact that she paired the look with silver Sam Edelman pumps. But hey, at least it's all super-affordable!

Sam Hunt is certainly a Wonderwall favorite , and he didn't let us down at the ACM Awards, where he looked handsome in a sleek all-black ensemble.

RaeLynn looked flawless in this stunning high-neck black gown with sheer paneling. We loved the geometric detailing and the dress's gorgeous circular train.

Why, Chris Lane? Why? There are so many things going wrong here that we don't even know where to begin. Not only did the country star decide to wear this horrendous floral suit, which featured cropped pants, but then he opted to pair it with maroon shoes minus socks and a shiny gray shirt.

Gorgeous in green! Maren Morris picked the perfect dress to help debut her new short hair at the ACM Awards — a beautiful emerald green gown that featured a plunging neckline and a high slit on the left side. Next? A better glimpse at that new hairstyle!

Maren Morris showed off her short new locks, styling them in loose waves. She kept things edgy with the addition of her nose ring and multiple ear cuffs.

Yikes! Hillary Scott delivered a major miss at the ACMs in this checkered disaster. The blue-and-red patterned dress was loud all the way down to its asymmetrical hemline, amounting to a giant mess. Factor in those strangely placed cutouts down the front and the weird blue-green metallic strappy heels and you've got the definition of a fashion don't.

A baseball hat on the carpet? That's going to be a big huge no from us, Kip Moore. And that selection of khaki pants and a T-shirt certainly didn't help matters.

Here comes the bride? Miranda Lambert's white Steven Khalil gown gave us some major wedding vibes. We loved how she played up the dress's plunging neckline and subtle silver and gold embellishments with complementary gold accessories. Owls and trees and flowers, oh my! That's what was embroidered all over Nicole Kidman's gown at the ACM Awards. The star was on hand to support hubby Keith Urban and used the opportunity to take a fashion risk in this long-sleeved, floor-length look by Alexander McQueen. Our verdict? We're strangely into it!

While we adore Reba McEntire, we're not feeling this look. Though the fringe on her bright white jacket is on-trend, the simple black-and-white ensemble fell flat for us.

We loved everything about Faith Hill's Academy of Country Music Awards look… except that belt! Bulky accessory aside, her deep red Michael Kors gown, which was embossed with a subtle animal print, fit the country queen perfectly, and we loved the heels she donned to match.

Who knew a suit could look so good with a cowboy hat?! Tim McGraw was at his finest at the ACM Awards, rocking a black cowboy hat with his perfectly tailored gray suit.

Sheer everywhere! Cassadee Pope was yet another star who showed some skin at the 2017 ACM Awards. But her long-sleeved sheer black dress was one of our least favorite of the bunch, mainly due to the tiny black bralette underneath — but we did appreciate the pretty red floral detailing along the overlay.

Chris Stapleton rocked his cowboy hat well on the pink and gray carpet at the ACM Awards. The crooner opted for a chic all-black look, complete with fringe, for a dashing western vibe.

A for effort? Kacey Musgraves delivered a massive miss, opting for this unfortunate floral mermaid gown. Her excessive accessory didn't help matters. Let's get a better look at that next…

Kellie Pickler looked sleek in a black dress at the ACM Awards, opting to keep things classic in this off-the-shoulder number. She kept her hair equally simple, wearing it down and swept off to one side.

Blue is certainly his color! Jake Owen donned this dapper blue suit with a crisp white shirt, finishing off his debonair look with brown dress shoes.

A swing and a miss! Savannah Chrisley sure showed a lot of skin at the ACM Awards. The reality star's gown featured sheer paneling that exposed a whole lot in the chest area. Perhaps they used up all of the solid fabric on that excessive train?

Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley looked dapper at the ACM Awards, rocking a suit with a handsome dress shirt underneath. The brown shoe selection was also a nice and fashionable touch!

We loved Madison Marlow (left) and Taylor Dye of Maddie & Tae's cute corresponding looks! Maddie opted for a sleek, fitted hot pink gown, while Tae's nude tulle confection included a floral print that incorporated pops of nearly the same pink shade.

We're all for pushing the envelope when it comes to men's fashion — and velvet, for that matter — but Brett Eldredge, you need to button up! The singer rocked his white shirt underneath a crimson suit jacket nearly half unbuttoned, making an otherwise stylish and sharp look appear sloppy.

Looking sharp, Dustin Lynch! The country crooner opted for a sleek, velvety silver tux jacket and kept things classy by combining it with black pants and shoes.

Brandy Clark solidified her look as a miss with this ill-fitting bright blue gown. The star's overly simple ponytail with loose strands also contrasted with the dressy nature of the floor-length gown.
