Sequins and rhinestones sum up this year's crop of CMT Music Awards fashion. The event's blue carpet was filled with country music's biggest stars decked out in plenty of bling and some interesting getups. And now that the trophies have been handed out, it's time to judge the fashion! So which country crooners cleaned up fashionably and which committed fashion sins? We love Mitchell Tenpenny's "Alcohol You Later," but we'd also like to say later to this look. Though that pink Stephanie Thorpe suit is a pretty shade, the Varvatos V-neck T-shirt underneath and those sparkly white Nike sneakers took this look to unnecessarily casual levels.
Danielle Bradbery was ready for summer in this white-hot number by Hamel! Her long-sleeved minidress featured a plunging neckline and silver embellishments that brought some sparkle to the blue carpet. (Fun fact: If this dress looks familiar, that's because Paula Abdul wore this to the Billboard Music Awards last month!)
We're not quite sure what Sheryl Crow was going for with this look, but we know one thing: It's way too casual! Her getup made the singer look like she was off to a pool party instead a major country music award show!

A bedazzled jumpsuit? Meghan Linsey's odd ensemble at the CMT Music Awards didn't stop there. She also added a similarly blush-hued duster over top, a tan hat and platform heels. One thing she had going for her? The hues certainly complemented her bright pink hair!
Sarah Hyland's little black dress was anything but boring! We liked the unexpected color pairings of gold, green, magenta and black, and the way she finished things off with those simple strappy sandals so as not to detract from her fun dress.

We love the way Maddie & Tae's looks always complement each other. For the CMT Musiv Awards, they opted for sparkles — and plenty of them! Maddie Marlow went with an eggplant-hued strapless minidress with a matching sash at the waist while Tae Dye donned a sparkly rose gold spaghetti-strap number. Besides killing it in the dress department, they also rocked some amazing shoes.

Holding it all together? That unfortunate chunky black belt. The one thing about this look we loved? Those perfectly simple strappy black sandals.

Lauren Akins, Thomas Rhett's wife, is one-half of one of our favorite country music couples, but this look isn't our favorite. We love leopard print as much as the next person, but this miniskirt — paired with a pink spaghetti-strap tank and Gucci belt — felt too casual for the big night. And though we loved the hot pink heels sentiment, the shade was too far off to match her tank top, resulting in a fashion miss. We do love that fun hairstyle though!
Carly Pearce seriously sparkled in this sweet minidress. We loved this LBD adorned with multicolored sequins that had a festive effect perfect for this big country music night. She accessorized with an equally sparkly clutch and a pair of killer black-and-clear strappy heels.
We have absolutely no idea what Midland's Mark Wystrach was going for, but we do know the result was disastrous. The singer donned this odd jeans, pale blue jacket and graphic T-shirt combo and then added sunglasses hanging off his pocket and dirty boots — a forgettable and lame look.
Julia Michaels looked as pretty as a princess in this lovely lilac number. Her strapless ballgown featured delicate pleated tulle and helped show off her impressive array of tattoos.
