Channing Tatum marked a milestone birthday on April 26: He turned 40.
But the way he celebrated his big day soon sparked concerns for the health of his 6-year-old daughter, Everly, and her mother, Jenna Dewan, from whom Channing split in 2018 — and it led the actor to get tested for COVID-19.
TMZ reports that Channing, who shares custody of Everly with Jenna, got swabbed for the coronavirus after celebrating his birthday by going dirt biking with a group of five friends on his ranch outside Los Angeles, TMZ reports.
Sources told TMZ that though Channing's friends had all previously been quarantining on their own and appeared to be healthy when they got together, the star "volunteered" to get tested for the virus after Jenna "caught wind" of Channing's birthday adventure and "raised some concerns about him possibly being exposed" to COVID-19, TMZ writes.
In addition to being worried about Everly's health — and her own — Jenna also has to look out for the health of fiancé Steve Kazee and their new baby, 2-month-old Callum.
According to TMZ, "Channing understood the concern and decided to get tested on his own. After a few days of waiting for results — during which Everly stayed a few extra days with Jenna — Channing got an answer … negative."
The actor, who's also been spending time at on-off girlfriend Jessie J's house during Los Angeles's pandemic lockdown, has since made up the time he lost with Everly while awaiting his test results, TMZ reports, and he and Jenna have resumed their regular custody schedule.
Jenna, meanwhile, has recently photographed going on walks with Everly, Steve, baby Callum and their dog ner their L.A. home. The dancer-actress has also started sharing TikTok videos of herself getting back into the exercise groove as she recovers from giving birth.
