Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-April 2020, starting with this off-and-on duo… On April 4, People magazine reported that Channing Tatum and Jessie J recently called it quits for the second time. "They cared enough about each other to try again but realized it was better to move on," said a source, adding that the breakup is "totally amicable." The duo first split in late 2019 following a little more than a year of coupledom. They debuted their rekindled romance in January but hadn't been seen together since late February. They sparked split speculation when the actor failed to publicly wish the singer a happy birthday when she turned 32 on March 27. A source for The Sun said that it's likely the off-and-on couple will get back together somewhere down the line: "You shouldn't bet against another reunion in the future," said the insider. "Jessie and Channing really care for each other. You only need to look at the gushing posts they made about each other during their relationship to see that. That's why they wanted to give their romance another shot, but sadly it hasn't worked out. The split was amicable and they're still in contact. They're spending time apart and are open to meeting new people." Now keep reading for more of the week's biggest celeb love life updates…

On the April 2 episode of "Watch What Happens Live," Teresa Giudice's brother, Joe Gorga, said that she's started divorce proceedings and that the paperwork to legally end her marriage to her estranged husband, Joe Giudice, is "almost done." He also said that she hasn't started dating yet.
Us Weekly reported on April 2 that, according to a source, Tristan Thompson is "really stepping up to the plate" with his ex-girlfriend, Khloe Kardashian, and their daughter, True, and "fighting to make their relationship work more than ever right now." The reality star is "enjoying spending time as a family and being all together" as they quarantine at her home amid the coronavirus pandemic, but "she's not completely open to letting Tristan back in her life in a romantic way right now," added the insider. In a preview for the April 9 episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Khloe says she's not interested in dating at all right now … and hasn't been on a single date since she and the professional basketball player called it quits. "Nope, not even thinking about it," she says when mom Kris Jenner asks if she's dating. "I have friends that are, like, 'I want to hook you up with someone,' [but] I just don't care," she says. "I'm focused on myself and True, and that's just what I do. Who knows? Maybe I'll never date again." She later adds in a confessional, "I just find it so strange that people find it such a negative when somebody wants to be single. Trust me, if I wanted to date, I would date. I want to invest my energy in my daughter [and] in my self-healing, and I think that should be really empowering and it should be more rewarded rather than frowned upon and like, 'Oh my gosh, is she OK?' I'm actually f—— fantastic!"

On April 3, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, Ben Affleck is "very supportive" of his new girlfriend, Ana de Armas, and "tells her how amazing she is." Said the source, "Ana's friends are constantly telling her how lucky she is to have Ben and think he is so charming, cool and fun. They're so happy for her. … Ana and Ben are so in love and they are just enjoying the moment and are quarantined together and happy." A day earlier, Us Weekly reported that, according to another source, the A-list actor "loves children and loves being a dad" and "would love to have kids" with Ana "one day." According to yet another Us Weekly source, Ben's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, has met his new love "a couple of times briefly," and things were "very friendly" between them. "They haven't all hung out with the kids as one big group. Jen is not there yet," said the insider. "There is no doubt that they will do dinners and hangouts with the kids when Jen is ready, but no one is pressuring her to jump into that."
On the April 8 episode of Howard Stern's eponymous SiriusXM show, Tom Brady opened up about a 2018 rough patch in his marriage with Gisele Bundchen: "She didn't feel like I was doing my part for the family," he said. "She felt like I would play football all season and she would take care of the house, and then all of the sudden when the season would end, I would be like, 'Great, let me get into all my other business activities. Let me get into my football training.' And she's sitting there going, 'Well, when are you going to do things for the house? When are you going to take the kids to school and do that?' And that was a big part of our marriage that I had to, like, check myself. Because she's like, 'I have goals and dreams too.' … So two years ago … I had to make a big transition in my life to say, 'I can't do all the things that I wanted to do for football like I used to.' I gotta take care of things in my family because my family, the situation wasn't great. She wasn't satisfied with our marriage. So I needed to make a change in that. … Her point was, 'Well, yeah, of course this works for you. It all works for you. But it doesn't work for me.' Because you can get caught up in your life where you think a relationship is great because it only works for you, and the point of a relationship [is] it has to work for both. You'd better work on both 'cause if you don't, then ultimately, it's not sustainable." He went on to say that the supermodel wrote him "a very thought-out letter" saying "this is where I'm at in our marriage." The letter, which he kept, now serves as "a good reminder" for him "that things are gonna change and evolve over time" in a marriage — it also prompted them to go to couples counseling. The football star then opened up about how he initially thought he wouldn't get married or have kids until later in life — his love for Gisele derailed those plans, though. "I found a wife and a woman that I saw myself with for the rest of my life. She's been an amazing supporter in everything that I've done," he gushed, adding that they met when a mutual friend set them up in December 2006 — shortly after he split from Bridget Moynahan. "I had gotten out of a relationship. She had been out of a long-term relationship that she had, so when we met … I wasn't quite sure if I was ready for a relationship — I didn't think I was. But we met and then we hit it off," he said, noting that although they connected immediately, it wasn't exactly love at first sight. "There definitely was a connection. There still is today," he said. "Then as we got to know each other, I think within a few months, we thought like, 'Alright, this is gonna be pretty serious.' It was a magical part of our life. She was everything that I was looking for in a wife. … Like I said, I was just getting out of a relationship, so for me, it wasn't like I was so ready to look for a different person, but she just came into my life at the right time." Right after they started dating, Bridget found out she was pregnant with Tom's oldest child, son Jack. The famed quarterback described it as a "challenging" time for everyone involved but said that, ultimately, it brought him and Gisele closer together.
On the April 7 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Jennifer Lopez revealed that the coronavirus pandemic has impacted her plans to marry Alex Rodriguez: "Actually, it did affect it a little bit, so we will see what happens now," said the singer-actress, who was reportedly set to wed the baseball star sometime this summer. "Honestly, I really don't know what's gonna happen now as far as dates or anything like that — we're just kind of in a holding pattern like the rest of the world. So, again, it's something we're just gonna have to wait and see in a few months how this all pans out."
On the April 6 episode of Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti's "Almost Famous" podcast, Peter Weber cleared up rumors that he and Kelley Flanagan are an item. "Are we dating? No. I am the first person to admit that I have been through so much … and the last thing I need to do is jump into another relationship," he said. "I just was engaged [to Hannah Ann Sluss]. A couple weeks ago, I was figuring out another relationship [with Madison Prewett]. But Kelley's just been someone that has been there for me, and that's something that I just really, really appreciate, and I'm trying to be there for her, and we just get along really well and have really good chemistry. Who knows what the future holds? I'm not saying nothing could happen. But right now, I'm just taking things really slow and [we're] enjoying each other's time." When Ben and Ashley asked if they're kissing, Peter demurred: "No comment on that," he said, although he admitted that Kelley has been responsible for much of his post-"The Bachelor" happiness and newfound sense of peace. "Who knows what this turns into. Right now, I just know that I love the time that I spend with her," he said. When Ben and Ashley asked if it's safe to say that they're crushing on each other, Peter replied, "Yeah, definitely crushing on her, for sure." Chimed in Kelley, "I think it's a little obvious." Kelley — who joined Peter for some of the podcast — also shed some light on why they weren't able to connect on the show: "I saw that he was getting manipulated every which way," she said. "The first couple weeks, I saw him look at me differently compared to when we got on our one-on-one [date], and I could tell 100 percent that producers were in his head. … He had this demeanor towards me that was so pissed off, and I was looking at him like, 'What the hell were you told? Because nothing happened here for you to have this attitude.' So right then and there, I knew something was going on behind the scenes." She went on to accuse "The Bachelor" producers of keeping them apart. They ultimately reconnected at a party in February … after he broke up with Hannah Ann but before he briefly reconciled with Madison. On the April 7 episode of Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin's "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast, Peter added that although he's quarantining with Kelley at her apartment in Chicago amid the coronavirus pandemic, they're sleeping in separate bedrooms. (He specifically traveled to Chicago because he was worried about her quarantining alone, he told Ben and Ashley.) He also told the former stars of "The Bachelorette" that he now feels closer to Kelley than he ever did to either Hannah Ann or Madison. Speaking of his exes…
Also on the April 6 episode of Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti's "Almost Famous" podcast, Peter Weber shed some light on his breakups from Hannah Ann Sluss and Madison Prewett, saying that he legitimately fell in love with both of them and isn't sure who he ultimately would've picked if Madi hadn't walked away from the competition — although he was heartbroken when she left the show, he wasn't necessarily set on choosing her over Hannah Ann, he said. So what ultimately went wrong with Hannah Ann? It wasn't just that he had unresolved feelings for Madison. "I think the biggest thing — in regards to compatibility, I don't think that we challenge each other enough, and that was something that is important to me in a relationship," he said, adding later that when he proposed, he hadn't "even known her for that long" and probably shouldn't have popped the question. (He told Nick Viall on his "The Viall Files" podcast that they had to shoot the proposal twice because he was so nervous, he forgot to ask Hannah Ann, "Will you marry me?" when he slipped the ring on her finger from bended knee and then stood.) Peter then revealed that he wasn't consulted before Chris Harrison went to visit Madison to tell her that he and Hannah Ann had called it quits. He also said made it clear that he hadn't seen Madi in person until they shot the "After the Final Rose" special and wasn't sure that they would've tried reconciling if Chris hadn't reached out to her. Two days later, they realized they "just weren't compatible for each other." Explained the pilot, "The nature of the show allowed for us not to really see those issues so much, but kinda getting into real life and then really reflecting, you see… Listen, it sucks — you can feel so strongly for someone, but you need to be compatible on some certain huge life issues and if you're not, it's really just not going to work out in the end. And that's really all that it was. I think we both just came to that realization together at the same time."
And finally, Peter Weber addressed Hannah Ann Sluss's allegations that after he proposed to her, he still needed to "find closure" with ex Hannah Brown: The former star of "The Bachelorette" direct messaged him on Instagram after she watched the first episode of his season of "The Bachelor" — on which she appeared. "She was being really honest and open and wondering if I had seen the episodes yet. She was kinda struggling with it — it was tough to watch," Peter said on Nick Viall's "The Viall Files" podcast. "I had asked Hannah Ann if it would be OK if I could communicate with Hannah Brown. She told me that it was fine as long as I didn't see her in person. … She was, obviously, a little hesitant … and that's why I wanted to be transparent with her about everything. Ultimately, she gave me the OK and Hannah Brown and I discussed things." He went on to say that he and the "Dancing With the Stars" champ are "very supportive of each other." Added Peter, "I have all the respect in the world for Hannah Brown. She's been amazing and there for me pretty much at all times. There's a really good mutual respect."
In other Hannah Brown news… On April 2, Tyler Cameron randomly crashed a group of girlfriends' quarantine Zoom chat and shared "the tea" on his rumored relationship with Hannah Brown: "We are friends," he said. "She's a good friend." One of the girls then asked him about another ex: Gigi Hadid. "She's a good girl. She's dating her old man now," Tyler said, referring to the model's rekindled romance with Zayn Malik.
Us Weekly reported on April 7 that, according to a source, Jennifer Aniston and ex-boyfriend John Mayer "have a nice friendship," and although they don't see each other often, "whenever they talk or are out together, it's always friendly and nice." Added the insider, "There is definitely no weirdness between them. … John has a deep admiration and respect for Jen." Meanwhile, on the April 6 episode of "Watch What Happens Live," Melissa Etheridge gushed about the friendship between the actress and her ex-husband, Brad Pitt: "I loved Brad and Jen together — they were beautiful. I believe they will always remain friends because they're two very special people that can get through anything," said the singer, who performed at the former couple's wedding. "I just hope that their friendship lasts," she added.
On the April 6 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Kaley Cuoco revealed that she and her husband, Karl Cook, might not have finally moved in together if it hadn't been for the coronavirus pandemic. "We've been married for a year and a half, been together for almost four years. This quarantine has forced us to actually move in together," she said. "It's been great for our relationship. And we like each other, we realized, which is even better!" The actress added that she'd been working in New York City but got sent home to Los Angeles as COVID-19 started spreading in the Big Apple: "I was shooting in New York and got sent back here, obviously, because of everything that was going on — and we got to move into the house together. So we moved in and I can't find anything, but the house is great!" She then joked of her hubby, "I think Karl would love it if I found my makeup at some point."
On April 6, People magazine broke the news that Jeannie Mai and Jeezy got engaged at his home in Los Angeles on March 27. The rapper originally planned to pop the question during an April vacation in Vietnam, but instead — due to travel restrictions brought on by the coronavirus pandemic — he proposed during a special at-home date night. "[He] decided to bring Vietnam to Jeannie with a surprise quarantine date night in his home filled with Vietnamese food and décor," her rep told People. They've been an item since late 2018.
The Sun on Sunday reported on April 5 that, according to a source, Tom Holland and Olivia Bolton "remain very close but decided recently it was best for them to be just friends rather than a couple." Added the alleged insider, "It was all very amicable and they both think it is for the best." The longtime family friends were first seen together in July 2019.
During an April 2 chat with "Extra," Luann de Lesseps said that she's currently single. "Maybe I should consider online dating at this point," she said. "I think it would fun maybe to flirt with somebody online. I have never done it before." It's unclear when exactly she and her off-and-on love, agent Rich Super, called it quits.
Colbie Caillat and Justin Young took to Instagram on April 2 to announce that they're ending the romantic aspect of their relationship. (The Gone West bandmates started dating more than a decade ago and got engaged in 2015.) Wrote the two-time Grammy winner, "This is difficult for us to share, but we want to be honest with you all. After 10 wonderful years, Justin and I have ended our relationship. We started out as best friends and we will continue to be best friends. And we will continue to work and make music together, as we always have. It will be hard, but often times the hard choice is the right choice and the path that will allow each of us to move forward and to grow. We continue to be overwhelmed with gratitude for our love and time together."
On April 4, "The Biggest Loser" trainer Erica Lugo and her fiancé, Danny McGeady, exchanged vows in front of their three kids from previous relationships (she has a son, while he has a son and a daughter) in a ceremony digitally officiated by "The Biggest Loser" contestant Kristi McCart, who's an attorney, and live-streamed over Zoom and Instagram for 25 digital "guests" including their immediate family members, closest friends and the bride's "The Biggest Loser" co-stars. The duo originally intended to tie the knot in front of 150 guests in an April 4 ceremony to be followed by a "huge party with a live band," they told Us Weekly. But in mid-March, they made the difficult decision to cancel their original wedding plans amid the coronavirus pandemic. "It was a quick decision. I understood the importance of #FlattenTheCurve. Didn't mean making the decision didn't hurt. I've been waiting for this moment my whole life and this man is the man of my dreams," the reality star told Us Weekly, adding that they decided to go through with legally marrying on April 4 because it's "an important date" for them. Ultimately, they were able to arrange a porch delivery from their florist and contactless delivery for their gourmet wedding cake, as well as dinner from a favorite local restaurant. "Having just the kids and ourselves was actually an insanely magical moment. Love conquers all. Even a pandemic," Erica told Us Weekly, which published the couple's exclusive wedding photos. The newlyweds are planning to host a "big party" to celebrate their marriage in December.
The Sun reported on April 7 that comedian Jack Whitehall is dating model Roxy Horner. "[They] are enjoying being in isolation together. It's all very new but they're in their own little bubble and things are perfect at the moment," said a source. "Being on lockdown in a honeymoon period is certainly one way to get to know each other quickly. But the more time they spend together the happier they seem. Jack's been out on the odd run but apart from that they are watching Netflix and enjoying time together. Both have had their share of heartbreak and struggled a bit to find love. It's time they had some luck."
During an April 2 interview with Hollywood Life, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star Vicki Gunvalson said that she and her fiancé, Steve Lodge, are indefinitely postponing their wedding amid the coronavirus pandemic. "We're doing nothing," she said of wedding planning. "I told him the wedding's off. … We were going to go get married in April and try to get as many of our six kids together and all of that. We're still going to get married. I'm just not in a big [rush] to get down the aisle right now."
When Grace Gummer filed to divorce Tay Strathairn in late March, it came as a huge shock to the public considering that up until that point, they'd managed to keep their entire marriage completely under wraps. On April 7, Us Weekly shed some light on the low-key union, reporting that according to court documents, the "Mr. Robot" actress and the former Dawes keyboardist wed on July 10, 2019, and separated just 42 days later, on Aug. 21, 2019.
On the April 7 episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," Rita Wilson said that she and Tom Hanks "just got along instantly" when they met back in the early '80s. "First of all, I love a good storyteller, so anybody who can tell a good story, I'm down with that," she said, adding that her hubby makes her "laugh all the time" and is "a really good storyteller."
On the April 5 episode of their "Whine Down" podcast, Jana Kramer and her husband, Mike Caussin, revealed that although they're currently in a good place, they fought for "about a week" last month over some shelves he built for their home. "This past week we've been good. The week before was rough. Usually, we're in ruts for just a couple days," said the former professional football player before explaining that the trouble started when his missus questioned the shelves' stability. He went on to say that when Jana asked about the shelves, he felt like he was "being challenged" because "the only reason she would ask me is because clearly she has an issue with it." Replied the singer-actress, "I can look back and see that, and so it's something I can, for sure, be better at and be more mindful [of in the future]. … I don't want you to feel like an idiot. I don't want you to feel like what you're doing is questioned." She added that although she didn't mean to question him, she "can totally see how" he took it the wrong way. Mike added that they "gotta work on" their communication because there's "a difference between a question out of curiosity and being challenged." Jana later added on Instagram, "We fought about a shelf. Hahaha. I mean cmon a shelf…but it's so much more than that. Was I asking too many questions? Was my own anxiety and fears rubbing off and I was taking that out on him? Was he being defensive? Did we have bad communication the past few weeks….YUP. But this is how we dealt with it and praying we aren't alone in that."
