The Academy of Country Music Awards is one of the biggest nights for country crooners. On Sept. 16, 2020, the show returns for its 55th year and in honor of the event, Wonderwall.com is looking back to the 2010 ACM Awards to check out the red carpet looks a decade ago. First up? Nominee Taylor Swift, who wore her hair pulled back in a low chignon and donned a periwinkle blue gown with an illusional neckline — very classic "old Taylor." In 2010, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton were still country music's golden couple. Blake, who won the award for vocal event of the year that night, wore a three-piece suit with dark denim, a charcoal vest and a gray-blue jacket. Miranda, who became Mrs. Shelton the following year, arrived in a sparkly blue beaded gown with short sleeves and a deep V-neck. But it wouldn't be her only look of the night…

Miranda Lambert was a big winner at the 2010 ACM Awards: She took home three trophies — video of the year, top female vocalist of the year and album of the year. For such a big night, one outfit wouldn't do, so Miranda changed into a one-shouldered blush pink gown once she stepped inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Actress Kristen Bell wore a breezy neutral-hued Hervé Léger by Max Azria chevron illusion minidress to the 2010 ACM awards, which took place in Las Vegas.
Carrie Underwood won entertainer of the year at the 2010 show, which was held on April 18, 2010. She stunned on the red carpet in a Basil Soda cocktail dress in a champagne shade. She styled the frock with a side-swept 'do and sparkly heels.
Carrie Underwood changed outfits throughout the show, choosing a shiny shirt white dress for inside the ceremony. She paired the mini with sparkly silver heels and her hair down in loose waves.
Faith Hill went for a more understated look at the Las Vegas award show. She picked a white dress with a loose top and a fitted skirt and wore her hair loosely tied back. Light blue peep-toe heels, which matched her clutch, gave the outfit a little color.
Reba McEntire — who hosted the show for the fifth year in a row — walked the red carpet in a long gown with a sheer blue overlay featuring climbing vines.
As the show's host, Reba McEntire couldn't be expected to stay in one gown all night! Once inside, she changed into a fitted champagne-colored halter-style dress with a deep V-neck.
In 2010, dancer-actress Julianne Hough was focusing on a singing career, so her appearance at the ACM Awards wasn't as unexpected as it may seem. Then then-singer rocked a white Basil Soda couture gown with an elaborate silver bodice.
Nicole Kidman accompanied husband Keith Urban to the 2010 ACM Awards wearing a short-sleeved L'Wren Scott tuxedo-style dress with long sleeves and accessorized with lace-up heeled booties.

Laura Bell Bundy was another ACM Awards attendee who walked the red carpet in a champagne gown. The singer-actress dazzled in a dress featuring a thigh-high slit and an embellished neckline.
John Fogerty and his wife, Julie Lebiedzinski, both went out a little out there for country music's big night. John wore a black suit with silver embroidery along the chest and sleeves and Julie donned a blue-and-teal party dress accessorized with a bright pink wrap and shiny pink shoes.
Katie Armiger picked a playful strapless pink gown for the ACM Awards in 2010 though weighed the look down a little with chunky black peep-toe heels.
Emily West wore a dress similar to LeAnn Rimes' look — a strapless royal blue number, though hers featured multiple blue shades down the skirt.
Singer and reality star Cheyenne Kimball chose a more serious red carpet look in 2010. She wore her hair pulled back tightly in a half-up, half-down style that helped showed off her glitzy earrings. For her outfit, she paired a black belted strapless dress with black peep-toe heels.
Meghan Linsey of Steel Magnolia was nominated for four awards at the ACM Awards in 2010. For her big night, she wore a champagne-colored ruffled gown with a tight, strapless bodice. She broke up the monotony of the color with a dark black sash.
