A-Rod, for the Throwback Thursday win! After dating Jennifer Lopez for a year and a half, Alex Rodriguez let us in on a little secret this week — he's been a J.Lo fan for ages, a fact he proved with an Instagram post this week. Sharing an autographed promotional shot of his girlfriend circa 2001, he wrote, "#TBT to almost 20 years ago when a big-time global pop superstar signed a pic for a young ball player. #lifecanbefunnysometimes #keepsake." According to the Daily Mail and a similar post from Jennifer, he found the memento — the same image of the singer that appeared on her second album for Epic — while cleaning out his storage. In a recent chat with ET, Jenifer gushed how much it means to her to have Alex at so many of her performances. "To have a partner that's that supportive, who comes to that many shows, it means a lot to me," she said. "Being in show business is a grind, it's being away a lot. He really makes an effort to be there."

Seems Kanye West wasn't done soapboxing when his meeting with Donald Trump came to an end on Thursday, Oct. 11. After leaving his hug-filled hang with the president, 'Ye headed to an Apple store in the Georgetown section of Washington, D.C., where he jumped up on a table to deliver what Page Six says he called a "keynote" speech. It did not appear to have been planned with anyone at the store, although the rapper did inexplicably tell Trump in their meeting that he thinks Apple should be manufacturing airplanes. Anyway, Page Six gathered some tidbits about the appearance from various news outlets and basically, Kanye continued ranting, Kanye-style from his table pulpit. He'd reportedly ditched his MAGA cap by then, but he did share a photo of his own redesigned red cap — on the president's head. This one, he explained, says only, "Make America Great." "It hurts us as people, specifically black people, the idea, because we say, was America ever great for us? So we made an updated hat that said 'Make America Great,' and Trump wore the hat so he is open to adjusting and listening," Kanye said in a video tweeted out by a reporter from CNN. He then reportedly told the audience he was off to Africa and left. Earlier this month, he told TMZ he was going to record his next album, "Yandhi" somewhere in Africa.

Britney Spears' 1st grade autograph expected to fetch $10k on auction site

Speaking of throwback autographs … Britney Spears' earliest known signature appears in her 1989 yearbook from 1st grade — and it's heading to the auction block on Oct. 18, according to TMZ. Brit's name is signed in block letters, since she would have been about 7 when she wrote it, while one of the book's two photos of the singer show her with dark, super-tight curls worn in a side bun and bangs that appear to either be teased or permed. Ah, the late '80s … The yearbook comes courtesy of Parklane Academy in McComb, Mississippi, where Britney was born. (Her family later moved about 25 miles south to Kentwood, Louisiana, where she spent most of her childhood.) TMZ reports the yearbook is expected to fetch at least $10,000 on Heritage Auctions' website.

Sidenote: That's often cited as a contributing issue to substance abuse and addiction problems. Financial mismanagement often makes matters worse once the star hires a pro to help them, the doctors add. Finally, USC Chairman Jerry Jellison points out that "overspending can reflect the fantasy of a better life — and actors are comfortable with fantasy," thanks to their jobs.

In a low-key selfie posted on Instagram this week, the 17-year-old model flashes a peace sign, revealing the "Jordan" written in cursive on the underside of her arm. The Daily Mail notes that Jordan is Kaia's middle name; the tab also points out that the legal age for getting inked in California is 18 without a legal guardian's accompaniment, which might explain why pics in artist Rafael Valdez's Instagram feed show both Kaia, 17, and her 19-year-old brother in his chair. Kaia captioned her somber looking peace sign snap — posted shortly before Hurricane Michael laid waste to much of the Florida Panhandle, "just coming on here because I don't think enough people talk about the weather these days." The cap felt like either a sympathetic or head-in-the-sand reference, given this week's storm. As they had with Harvey and the other storms that ravaged large parts of the U.S. in 2017, oceanographers and meteorologists have attributed Michael's unexpected, so-called "rapid intensification," to water warming conditions and atmosphere abnormalities caused by climate change.

More likely, however, is that stars are becoming more comfortable talking about their struggles with anxiety, depression and other diseases. "First Man" star Claire Foy is a case in point. In The Edit's latest cover story, the actress admits she's changed her perspective on mental health and general happiness. "A long time ago, I gave up on the idea of happiness. I think you can be incredibly, deliriously happy one minute, and be miserable the next. […] I've realized that my life is quite dramatic, and that's OK. I'm really happy, but … I'm not sorted, at all. I don't expect any moment to last," she says. Claire has had some time to get to that point, though. "When I was 23, I had a breakdown. I didn't sleep or eat for a month," she reveals. "It was awful. My life had changed. I felt overwhelmed. I was on stage at the time and working, and I'd just got a really big job [the lead in the BBC's' Little Dorrit']. I just couldn't cope." One thing that helped, she added, was welcoming her daughter, Ivy Rose, three years ago. "Having her made me think, 'You need to sort your life out.' I just didn't have to live like that," she says. "It was unbearable. I was sick of myself."

Inspired by her 84-year-old mom who "will never walk out of the house not done from head to toe," Kris continued: "She taught me to put your best foot forward, always look your best. I just want to pass that down to women everywhere and remind everybody that we're here because fashion is exciting and it's fresh and fun. … I have a better day if I feel like I'm looking my best and trying to feel my best from the inside out." In the meantime, her momager gig keeps her busy enough. "I'm a fireman," she said. "All I do all day long is put out fires. For real. It's wild."
