Angelina Jolie takes Maddox Jolie-Pitt on a university tour in South Korea

When you're interested in pursuing international studies, it's helpful to have a mom like Angelina Jolie at your side. The actress, director and Special Envoy for the United Nations Refugee Agency recently made an official visit to South Korea, where she met with the country's Justice Minister to discuss the crisis in Yemen and thank South Korea for taking in so many Yemeni refugees. That wasn't Angelina's only mission, though. Maddox Jolie-Pitt, the eldest son of Angelina and her estranged husband, Brad Pitt, joined his mom so he could check out some universities in Seoul. According to People, Maddox, 17, has studied the Korean language and is considering going to school in South Korea so he can learn more about the country. Angelina also brought her 14-year-old son, Pax Jolie-Pitt along for the trip, which may have been a nice break for the mother of six. Back at home, she's preparing to take her custody battle with Brad to court. A judge recently ruled the former couple's trial will begin Dec. 4.

Tennessee voting numbers spike after Taylor Swift's 'happy voting' post

Girl power, indeed! Taylor Swift's get-out-the-vote posts may end up having a pretty massive impact on the mid-term elections in her home state of Tennessee, if not the whole country. Taylor urged her 112 million Instagram followers to go to the polls on Oct. 7, writing that she'd been "reluctant" to talk politics in the past but "due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now." She went on to say she planned to vote in Tennessee, instructed folks to get info about registering to vote at Vote.org and endorsed Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Phil Bredesen. Within 24 hours of her post, 64,000 new voters had registered, according to Vote.org (via Page Six). Two days later, 212,871 new voters had registered. More than half of them were between the ages of 18 and 29. In Tennessee, where Taylor made her pitch, early voting among people in that same age demographic increased by more than seven times, according to an analysis from TargetSmart. While Page Six notes that Tennessee has been among the states where "intense get-out-the-vote efforts" likely helped registration and early voting numbers, it's hard to discount the effect Taylor's message had. On Election Day, the singer posted a video on Instagram Stories making one last pitch for fans to vote. (You heard the woman — go vote!)

Pete Davidson's Ariana Grande tribute on 'SNL' was a last-minute addition after he heard 'Thank U, Next'

The Ariana Grande – Pete Davidson love story is starting to find a happy ending. It turns out Pete's decision to make a few comments about his former fiancee on this past weekend's edition of "Saturday Night Live" came less than an hour after he previewed her new single, "Thank U, Next." In the song, Ariana mentions her exes — including Pete — by name, thanking them each for the things she learned from them before singing about how she's in a new relationship — with herself. Ariana had already told fans she let exes Big Sean and Ricky Alvarez hear the track before she released it, but she didn't say whether Pete had heard the track. When a promo for "SNL" aired showing Pete jokingly proposing to that night's musical guest, Maggie Rogers (she declines, sparking Pete to say he's "O for three" in the proposal game), it seemed like relations between the actor and singer were going downhill. Then, according to TMZ, Pete heard Ariana's new song and asked Lorne Michaels if he could say a few lines about the situation on the show. He reportedly got approval on the request and proceeded to end a sketch by telling viewers: "The last thing I will say is I know some of you are curious about the break-up. The truth is it's nobody's business, and sometimes things just don't work out. And that's OK. She's a wonderful, strong person, and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world." It sounds like Ariana's heading in that direction, too. As she sings near the end of "Thank U, Next:" "I met someone else / We havin' better discussions / I know they say I move on too fast / But this one gon' last / 'Cause her name is Ari / And I'm so good with that."

Kanye West and Burger King's Twitter exchange about McDonald's goes viral

In today's Kanye West Declarative Statement That May or May Not Be True news … A response to the "McDonald's is my favorite restaurant" tweet 'Ye posted over the weekend is going viral. The reply came from Burger King UK, which tweeted simply, "Explains a lot" in response to Kanye's missive. In two days, the BK tweet racked up more than 210,000 retweets and 807,000 likes. Meanwhile, Kanye's pal, John Legend, has been thinking about 'Ye's politics, not his fast food preference. In WSJ magazine's Innovators issue, John explains that he felt obligated to call out Kanye on the pro-Donald Trump stance (which Kanye subsequently changed) because he "disagreed with some of the things he was saying" and Kanye's position to influence others concerned John. "My point to him was that when you wear that hat, when you appear to be endorsing him, you're endorsing his policies as well, all of his rhetoric and not just the parts you like," John said. "I think we had to talk about it, because we didn't want people to be deceived into following his line of thought without considering the full ramifications." John also said that in regard to Kanye's bipolar disorder diagnosis, "I leave it to him and his doctor to discuss what's going on in his brain."

Reebok praises Cardi B's 'fearless' individualism in new sneaker partnership

"If you don't know, now you know. REEBOK!" That's how a clearly excited Cardi B announced her new partnership with the sneaker brand on Instagram this week. The new deal is in support of Reebok's classic '90s-style Aztrek sneakers. Speaking to WWD (via the Daily Mail), Reebok President Matthew O'Toole said, "For us, she really is emblematic of what our brand has done well over the years and that is to be bold, provocative and uninhibited. If we look at some of the things we've done with Allen Iverson or being the first to sign musicians, or more recently with Kerby [Jean-Raymond] of Pyer Moss, when we are at our best we are with people who are comfortable living out loud and Cardi fits that." The company's official statement about the partnership echoed O'Toole's thoughts. "Cardi isn't just a world-class entertainer. She's a mother, a style icon, a pop culture magnet and — above all else — a fearless individual," the statement said. "She's broken every mold that superstars are supposed to fit into – and she's reached the top by following nobody's path but her own." Zayn Malik no longer talks to his former 1D bandmates

Sounds like One Direction may have been the wrong band name for Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne. In the December edition of British Vogue, Zayn reflects on his decision to leave the boy band and reveals he never really made friends with any of the singers. "I have always been a bit like that, though — always a bit of an island. I don't like to confer with too many people," he says. "We went from theaters, to arenas, to stadiums. There was never any sort of bridge between. Just boom, boom, boom. I guess that kind of progression to any mind — but especially when you're 17, 18 — it kind of affects you a little bit. People take it different ways — especially when there are five different personalities," he explains. "The relationships had broken apart." Asked where he stands with the guys now that he's been working on his solo career for more than three years, he says they're not really part of his life. "I ain't spoke to any of them for a long time, to be honest with you," he admits. "That's just the way it is. There's things that happen and things that were said after I left … Snide things. Small things that I would never have expected." One person he does feel close to, however, is his on-again girlfriend, Gigi Hadid. In that realm, he says, "everything is great," in spite of the brief split their relationship endured. "She's super-organised and I'm really not," he adds. Bethenny Frankel gets a birthday kiss from her new boyfriend

Bethenny Frankel's romance with film producer Paul Bernon is still very much on. That's according to Page Six, which reports the Skinnygirl founder spent her 48th birthday enjoying some private shopping with her new man at the Prabal Gurung store in New York City's West Village. A source tells the tab the store was closed for the pair so they could check out the designer's clothing without being bothered by fans or paparazzi. They apparently took full advantage of having the store to themselves, too. Said the source: "They were making out [in the store]." Bethenny and Paul were first spotted together last month.

When Bella Hadid posted a handful of new photos of herself in a black bra, thong and knee-high boots, she was aware some negative feedback would come her way. But a source tells Us Weekly that the model doesn't sweat the "scary skinny" comments. "Bella knows that no matter what she posts, someone will have something to say about it. And it's fine. She doesn't let it stop her from posting what she wants," the insider says. "Bella is very comfortable in her own skin and is very confident, much more so than [her sister] Gigi. Bella doesn't let the body shamers get to her." Bella has explained to social media users in the past that she suffers from an autoimmune condition called Hashimoto's disease that often causes weight loss. "@victoriassecret fittings today💛i can't wait for you to see all of the beautiful outfits …," she captioned the new controversial pics. "I'm so grateful to be a part of the show again, feeling happier and healthier than ever🖤." The Victoria's Secret runway show tapes Nov. 8.

Rihanna made good on her promise to go after Donald Trump for using her music at his rallies. In the wake of her tweeted response to news the president was playing "Don't Stop the Music" at a Chattanooga, Tennessee, rally on Sunday, Nov. 4, the singer had her legal team reach out to White House counsel. "It has come to our attention that President Trump has utilized [Rihanna's] musical compositions and master recordings, including her hit track 'Don't Stop the Music,' in connection with a number of political events held across the United States," read the letter, excerpted by Rolling Stone. "As you are or should be aware, Ms. Fenty has not provided her consent to Mr. Trump to use her music. Such use is therefore improper. Trump's unauthorized use of Ms. Fenty's music… creates a false impression that Ms. Fenty is affiliated with, connected to or otherwise associated with Trump/" After spotting a tweet from the White House corespondent for the Washington Post that said "everyone [was] loving" the Rihanna music at the rally, Rih replied, "not for much longer" and thanked the reporter "for the heads up."

Mickey Rourke hit with $32,000 default judgment in landlord case

A year after he was sued by American Express for failing to pay a $50,000 bill, Mickey Rourke is being ordered to fork over more than $32,000 to his former landlord. The Blast reports Crosstown Realty Holdings filed suit against the star after he split from the apartment he was renting from them in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood. The realtors claimed Mickey owed three months of rent, totaling nearly $30,000. The company also accused him of leaving the apartment full of holes, trash and disco lights that reportedly had to be removed from the ceiling following his departure. Two air condition remote controls that somehow were worth $2,000 also had to be replaced, according to the court documents. As he did prior to being hit with a default judgment in the Am Ex case, Mickey failed to respond to the suit or show up in court, leaving the judge no choice but to slap another default judgment on him.
