Ariana Grande teases new animal rescue project
Animal lover and proud rescue dog mom (times 10) Ariana Grande announced Wednesday, Nov. 11, that she's helping to launch a new, nonprofit animal rescue organization in Los Angeles. "We are so happy, proud and excited, our site comin soon, follow @orangetwinsrescue on instagram for more," Ariana shared on her social media platforms. According to the Daily Mail, Orange Twins Rescue is all about getting more people to "foster, adopt, and donate money and pet supplies" to its cause of saving otherwise homeless animals. While the new website isn't quite ready for the public, it does have a linktree with an application for would-be new pet parents to apply to adopt a new furry friend. The site also offers a listing resource of pets in need of forever homes. The Mail reports Ariana's working with members of her team on the venture, including her creative director, and her choreographers, Brian and Scott Nicholson.

A mutual fangirl situation is brewing on Twitter between "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar and Stacey Abrams, whose work registering voters and protecting their right to vote in Georgia helped give the Democrats a massive boost there in races for the Senate and presidency. On Saturday, after the AP announced Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as the projected next president and vice president-elect of the United States, Sarah shared a collage of photos on Instagram featuring the nation's first woman V.P.-elect opposite the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stacey, whom Sarah thanked for helping to make Kamala's historic win possible. Welp, the love goes both ways. This week on her Instagram Story, Sarah shared a screen grab of a tweet Stacey posted about a development in Buffy's love life. "To be fair, Angel was the right boyfriend for Buffy coming into her power," the tweet read (via ET). "Spike was the right man to be with as she became the power." Sarah added a "verified fan girl" icon and a clapping Taylor Swift GIF to the tweet. Stacey's "Buffy" fandom, by the way, is not as unlikely as it would seem. In addition to her work as an attorney, politician and activist, Stacey, "is the award-winning author of several romantic suspense novels," via the pen name Selena Montgomery, according to Wikipedia, which notes she wrote her first novel "in her third year at Yale Law."

Britney Spears posts about 'dreams,' 'prayers' after conservatorship hearing reveals she's 'afraid' of her dad
Britney Spears is "afraid of" her father, Jamie Spears, and " will not perform again if her father is in charge of her career," the singer's lawyer told a judge Tuesday at a hearing related to Britney's ongoing struggle to remove her dad from her conservatorship. While the judge opted not to suspend Jamie from his role, the AP reports that she said she was open to hearing more arguments for his suspension. Jamie's lawyer disagreed, claiming there's not "a shred of evidence to support [his] suspension," and dismissed the argument Britney's said she fears her father as "hearsay." The judge also OK'd Britney's request to have Bessemer Trust become a co-conservator alongside Jamie for now. Britney's mom chimed in, too, via a statement in which she described Britney and Jamie's relationship as toxic, which a People source agreed with in a report from the outlet published Wednesday. "She feels like he has no respect for her wishes. It's a sad situation," the source explained. "Jamie has always had a tendency to shut down Britney's requests without any discussion." The two have reportedly not spoken in about a year. Earlier this week, Britney posted a note on Instagram that read, "keep jumping towards your dreams," seemingly suggesting she wasn't going to back down in her legal fight. On Wednesday, she shared a more unsettling message against a pink background. It read, "'Stillness is the key to prayers, the rest is God' – Britney Spears.'"

Kaley Cuoco lived that drama on the set of "The Big Bang Theory," where a real-life romance developed behind the scenes with her onscreen love, Johnny Galecki. "We got together and just fell mad for each other for two years, but then we broke up," Kaley recently told Dax Shepard on "The Armchair Expert" podcast (via People). "Luckily Johnny and I came out of it so brilliantly and we're closer today than we ever were." There was just one problem. "When we broke up obviously it was a little sensitive for a minute, but I remember those weeks that [creator] Chuck [Lorre] had written these episodes where all of a sudden our characters were like sleeping together every other second," Kaley recalled. "Johnny and I talk about it and I think [Chuck] did that on purpose — just to f— with us," she admitted with a laugh. "If I was with him, I would ask him because that came out of nowhere. All of a sudden these characters were all up on each other." Awkwardness aside, the pair finished "The Big Bang Theory" and said goodbye to their characters last year. Kaley's now married to Karl Cook, while Johnny welcomed a baby boy with girlfriend Alaina Meyer in 2019.
Ryan Murphy unveils new toothy clue about 'AHS 10'
After an extended production delay thanks to the pandemic, Ryan Murphy is inching closer to an announcement on the setting and premise for "American Horror Story" Season 10. Back in May, he shared a shot of a calm, quiet beach or lake shore, captioning it, "American Horror Story. Clue." The post came a few months after another clue — zombified hands clutching a sandy, twig-laden ground. This week, he seems to be revealing what the mouth on the body that owns those creepy hands looks like … and maybe why the waterfront is not as calm as it looks. His latest post is an image of a human-esque red lipstick-decorated mouth filled with dagger or arrow-head-like teeth. On the tongue, a tattoo artist has just carved out, "AHS 10." Like his previous posts, the latest teaser inspired a wave of fan guesses that the new season has something to do with, as one user put it, "sea creatures with some crazy teeth," that "transform" into something vaguely "human." "AH10" won't premiere until next year, though — maybe 2020 was enough of a horror show, even for Ryan Murphy.

In December, Emma Roberts, who's expecting a son with her boyfriend, Garrett Hedlund, will become the first pregnant woman to ever appear on the cover of Cosmopolitan. So it's fitting that most of the interview is devoted to Emma's road to pregnancy, going as far back as her desire to be a mom since childhood, the doctor who dismissed her terribly painful, debilitating periods and the subsequent GYN who diagnosed her with endometriosis, by which point the condition had already potentially harmed her chances of having kids. "I was told, 'You should probably freeze your eggs or look into other options,'" the "American Horror Story" star recalls. She was afraid, but eventually went through with the "difficult process." Still, she was "stunned" to learn her fertility was now on the line. "It felt so permanent, and oddly, I felt like I had done something wrong," she explains. That changed when she started talking to other women about her experience. "All of a sudden, there was a new world of conversation about endometriosis, infertility, miscarriages, fear of having kids. I was so grateful to find out I was not alone in this. I hadn't done anything 'wrong' after all," Emma says. "It sounds cheesy, but the moment that I stopped thinking about it, we got pregnant," says the actress. "But even then, I didn't want to get my hopes up. Things can go wrong when you're pregnant. That's something you don't see on Instagram. So I kept it to myself, my family, and my partner, not wanting to make grand plans if it wasn't going to work out." She adds: "This pregnancy made me realize that the only plan you can have is that there is no plan."
Hugh Grant rehashes the 'embarrassing' symptoms of his presumed bout with COVID-19
As we learn more about the coronavirus, more people are realizing that weird illness they had back in February was most likely COVID-19. On Tuesday's edition of "The Late Show," Hugh Grant put himself in that category, along with his wife, Anna Eberstein, both of whom tested positive for antibodies in October. "It started as just a very strange syndrome where I kept breaking into a terrible sweat. It was like a poncho of sweat, embarrassing really," Hugh told Stephen Colbert. "And then my eyeballs felt about three sizes too big and this feeling as though some enormous man was sitting on my chest, sort of Harvey Weinstein or someone. I thought, 'I don't know what this is,' and then I was walking down the street one day and I thought, 'I can't smell a d*** thing,' and you start to panic, 'cause by then people were just starting to talk about [loss of smell] as a symptom." Charlie Hunnam recently revealed he, too, suffered COVID-19 symptoms including the loss of his sense of smell "early on in the pandemic."

Maybe Kate Winslet should start doing all her own stunts a la Tom Cruise — because she recently broke a stunt-worthy record set by the "Mission: Impossible" star. While filming an underwater scene for the forthcoming "Avatar" sequel, the 45-year-old Oscar winner held her breath for 7 minutes and 14 seconds, well over the 6 second record Tom set while shooting "Mission: Impossible– Rogue Nation." Amid growing buzz about the feat, Kate admitted to ET that she was surprised anyone even knew it happened. "It's so funny because I don't really read reviews or media things. I'm not on Instagram, like I'm just completely disconnected from that part of my life," she explained. "So all of this week and the week before, I've had people coming up to me at work saying, 'Oh my God, like seven minutes and 14 seconds? Like, what?!' And I'm going, 'What? Hang on, wait a minute. How do you know that?'" She also acknowledged it was likely a one-time thing. "It was brilliant and I was very proud of myself and I'll probably never be able to do it again," she quipped. "That came at the end of four weeks worth of quite intense training and it was in the dive tank, it was in the training tank. But I loved it."
Johnny Depp fans threaten to boycott 'Fantastic Beasts 3' if Johnny Depp is not reinstated
More than 163,000 fans want Johnny Depp reinstated in his "Fantastic Beasts" role, a point they're making known on Change.org this week with a petition. The actor stepped down from his role as Gellert Grindelwald in the series upon Warner Bros.' request, after a London court dismissed the actor's libel case against the publisher of The Sun, having found the outlet's claim Johnny assaulted Amber Heard during their relationship was reasonable. Titled, "Warner Bros, Bring Johnny Depp back as Gellert Grindelwald!!!," the petition states Johnny was asked to resign, "… because of the verdict of his case with "The Sun" tabloid that was completely unfair." It goes on to say, "We want him back! Warner Bros should listen to the public or we will boycott the movie!!!" Unfair or not, if Johnny were to be reinstated in his role, it would add up to a lot more work for the same money. His contract reportedly stipulates he should be paid his full salary — rumored to be around $10 million — whether or not he's replaced. Johnny, who claims he never attacked Amber, is currently suing her for defamation over an op-ed she wrote about domestic violence.

On Tuesday, Jenna Bush Hager shared on Instagram photos and memories of the friendly approach she, her mother and her sister took to ushering in the Obamas. "Twelve years ago (!!!) today—I drove from my job teaching in Baltimore to meet my mom and sister in DC to show the next residents of this house their new home," she captioned the pics, which showed her smiling beside a very young Sasha Obama and Malia Obama. "Barbara and I taught the girls how to slide down the banister and all the secrets of the White House we loved as little girls—the best hiding spots, the movie theatre, and bowling alley," Jenna continued. "We showed them our rooms that would soon be theirs. Twelve years! PS I love my 'teacher outfit' it makes me nostalgic for that time." Not surprisingly, the comments quickly filled up with references to the importance (and safety) of a peaceful transition of presidential power. "I love the relationship your family has with the Obamas!" wrote one Insta user. "You are all a great example of what our nation is about. Coming together despite our differences. Good people doing good things for the Nation!"
