Reese Witherspoon had the perfect reaction to a 15,000 dissertation on 'Legally Blonde'
During a recent video interview with the stars of "A Wrinkle In Time," entertainment reporter Lucy Jayne Ford took a moment to admit something to Reese Witherspoon that she wanted to tell her for ages. "I actually wrote 15,000 words on you once. I wrote my university dissertation on 'Legally Blonde' and strong female characters," Lucy said to Reese (via JustJared). By that point, Lucy had already told her social media followers that she planned to give a copy of the tome to Reese. She had it with her at the interview and presented it to the star. Reese initially responded with her usual, Southern gal charm: "Thank you … That really touches my heart … That's amazing … That means a lot to me," she gushed. Before the end of the interview, however, the actress apparently stopped to consider what her "Legally Blonde" character Elle Woods would have done with a dissertation. "I have one question about this — Is it scented?" Reese asked, referring to the line where she happily passes along a pink, perfumed resume in the hopes of landing a job. ("I think it gives it a little something extra," Elle famously says in the film.) As for Lucy's dissertation? "I actually put perfume on it before I left," she assured her hero. Looking delighted, Reese replied: "I know you did!" Later, Lucy shared a photo of the exchange, and joked in the caption, "I blacked out somewhere between [Reese] taking it and Oprah saying 'wow.'" We don't blame ya, girl. 15,000 words is a lot of legal blondness.
Khloe Kardashian's baby gift registry includes a $496 air purifier
Nothin' but the best for Baby Thompson. As Khloe Kardashian celebrated the impending arrival of her first child with Tristan Thompson over the weekend with a baby shower at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, the mom-to-be also made her Amazon baby gift registry available. From the looks of the list, Khloe and Tristan's daughter is going to be breathing the world's cleanest air in that nursery. Well, at least the most expensive. While the list includes plenty of frugal options like a Boon Hungry Whale bath toy ($10) and WaterWipes for a baby's sensitive skin ($31), People noted there's also a $496 Dyson air purifier up for grabs. Other items include a $306 Medela Freestyle Breast Pump, a DockATot lounger for $175 and a $39 My Breast Friend feeding pillow. Khloe's due date is reportedly weeks away.

Kim Kardashian reflects on the relationship 'balance' she has with Kanye West
Kim Kardashian West suffered nightmares and flashbacks after being robbed in Paris in 2016, but she also used the experience to become more private and careful in her life. Kim's husband, Kanye West, meanwhile, may have toned down his outspokenness in recent years — he hasn't grabbed an award out of anyone's hands or rage-tweeted in all caps in quite a while, after all — but he certainly hasn't lost his propensity for voicing his thoughts and feelings. It turns out those aspects of Kim and Kanye's individual lives may be inspiring how they work together. In Elle's new cover story, Kim opens up about the give and take between her and her husband. "He's taught me to have more of an opinion," she says. "I've taught him to be a bit more calm or cautious," she revealed to the mag. "We're a good balance."
Chrissy Teigen finds Diddy's Netflix account still logged in at vacation rental
If the whole supermodel/cookbook author thing doesn't work out, Chrissy Teigen might consider a second career writing a Miss Manners for the Stars column. She's currently traveling in Asia with John Legend and their daughter, Luna, and according to her Twitter, she discovered she was staying in the same place Diddy recently stayed in China. How did she know? A certain music and vodka mogul forgot to sign out of Netflix at the pad. Enter Chrissy and her stellar social graces. "I logged you out of your Netflix and didn't look at your history," she alerted him on Twitter, according to the Daily Mail. "Because that's just the kind of people we are." She added a heart emoji to the Bad Boy Entertainment founder and his lady before signing off herself. Chrissy, John and Luna have stopped through Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Seoul so far.
Justin Timberlake kicks of his tour with shots from the stage
Ply 'em with shots, baby. On the heels of some mixed reviews of his 2018 Super Bowl Half Time Show, Justin Timberlake celebrated the first night of his Man of the Woods tour at Toronto's Air Canada Centre on Tuesday, March 13 — and by "celebrated," we mean handed out shots. Video posted on TMZ shows Justin carrying a tray of booze, which he delivered to each member of his band before telling the crowd, "I got some extras here," and sharing them with fans close to the stage. He went on to give a toast to Toronto, which he called, "the wonderful city I always have a blast in," earning big cheers. He also gave shoutouts to the crowd and to an apparently pregnant woman in the audience. "Thank you so much for coming out tonight, I love you all so much," he said, before the shot holders all knocked one back with the singer. Cheers!
Tom Hardy respects Shia LaBeouf's acting, understands his demons years after knockout
Shia LaBeouf was arrested in Georgia in 2017 for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and obstruction after an incident in which he verbally assaulted and spewed homophobic and racist slurs at cops. He followed it up with 10 weeks of rehab and got sober — but he hadn't done a sit-down interview since the arrest. Until now. In a new Esquire feature, Shia reflects on the past 10 years, an "arc" the magazine describes as "less a stratospheric ascent than a misguided rocket wobbling across the sky, strewing wreckage." He seems nervous but ready to turn over a new leaf. And at least one of the people he's scared and hurt — literally — along the way, seem ready to back him. Case in point: Shia's "Lawless" costar, Tom Hardy, whom Shia punched so hard Tom was knocked out cold while filming the movie. Tom had apparently been guzzling moonshine at the time. Today, though, Tom doesn't seem to hold a grudge, given the circumstances. "A performer is asked to do two things," Tom says. "To be disciplined and accountable, communicative and a pleasure to work with. And then, within a split second, they're asked to be a psychopath. Authentically. It takes a very strong human being to sustain a genuine sense of well-being through that baptism of fire. Drama is not known to attract stable types." He goes on to give high praise to Shia's acting ability" Shia has the ability to land scene after scene that builds a reality from utter fantasy. We know the robots aren't really there. They just aren't," he explains. "When I watch Shia, they are." Shia returns to theaters April 13 in "Borg vs. McEnroe."

Selena Gomez unfollows another Instagrammer; who does she still follow?
Given Selena Gomez's frustrating relationship with Instagram — she's said she deletes it from her phone regularly because of negative comments — it should come as no surprise when the singer trims down who she follows, as she did this week when she unfollowed photographer Petra Collins. She remains the most followed person on the app, with some 134 million-plus folks eyeballing her posts, though, so she's clearly doing something right. (Maybe it's all that deleting and unfollowing.) For a little insight, JustJared took a look at 12 of the pals whose accounts Selena doesn't want to let go. (She follows two dozen more, JustJared notes, but their various bands, projects and fan accounts.) In the bestie category, Selena follows Francia Raisa, the singer and friend who donated a kidney to Selena and saved her life last year. Other famous pals on the list include Taylor Swift and Jessica Alba. Selena also still follows songwriters Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, as well as her stylist of many years, Kate Young. Coach creative director Stuart Vevers made the cut as well, probably since Selena's getting ready to launch a new line with him for the brand. Selena keeps Insta-tabs on Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, too, along with singer-songwriter Brooke Fraser, model Connar Franklin, the late makeup artist Jake Bailey and Amy Schumer. And yes, that means her on-off flame Justin Bieber gets no shoutout from the singer. Then again, neither will any of her 12 faves next time she gives Instagram the heave-ho from her phone.
Gabrielle Union on how writing her memoir 'was therapeutic'
When Gabrielle Union was a teenager, she was raped at gunpoint — an experience she's since been open about, speaking to fans and survivors in the hopes she can help others. As she explains in the new issue of Good Housekeeping, part of her journey towards being able to support those who may still be struggling with similar experiences involved coming to terms with what happened to her — which she did in part by putting it all down on paper. "Writing my book, 'We're Going to Need More Wine,' was therapeutic," she says (via the New York Post). "Whether I was talking about sexual assault, failed marriages or finding joy in being my authentic self. Acknowledging you're in pain is the first step, and then seeking help," Gabrielle said. "The online community is full of people going through the exact same thing you are."
Adam Rippon has a reality show in the works with Ellen DeGeneres
Daytime TV fans might be seeing a lot more of this Olympian's face in the near future. According to the New York Post, bronze medal winning figure skater Adam Rippon is gearing up for his own show. He'll reportedly have a little help, too. "He'll be producing a reality show with Ellen. The details are TBD, but they are partnering," an insider tells the tab. "He gave his first televised interview after the Olympics to Ellen, and now they're going into business together. During the Olympics, she reached out to him and had to meet him." A second source added that Adam could also find a "semi-regular" home on "Ellen." "He's definitely coming back … They don't know how many episodes or in what capacity, but it'll be more than one show," said the source. "It hasn't been totally ironed out, but it'll be a semi-regular appearance." Sally Field — when is take-your-son-to-'Ellen' day, again …?!
