Brad Pitt kicked off his 56th year by spending quality time at home with his three youngest kids. According to E! News, 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt and 13-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt went to see their dad on Wednesday, Dec. 18, for his birthday. "Brad spent the day at his home in Hollywood … his younger kids stopped by for a visit," an insider told the outlet (via Harper's Bazaar). The family reportedly had a small birthday celebration then hung out for a while before the kids headed back to their mom, Angelina Jolie's house with a bodyguard. The trio reportedly plans to return to their dad's on Christmas Eve next week. "The kids will come over to Brad's house and spend the day with him. They have some traditions where they eat and exchange gifts. They play music and just hang out. Brad always wants to make it special for them and loves to see the excitement in their eyes," the source said. "The most important thing is just being together and being a family," continued the source. "He's excited to see them and have them be with him at home. That's really the only thing he wants." The plan falls within the visitation arrangement Brad and Angelina agreed to in the wake of their split a few years back. The former couple's older children, Zahara, 14, Pax, 16, and Maddox, 18, appear not to have been part of the birthday or Christmas Eve plans. Brad and Maddox, who's now attending college in South Korea, appear to remain on tense terms since Brad and Angelina separated in 2016.

"I walked in and I was like, 'Hey, how are ya?'" Kate recalled (via E! News). "I went into a stall and sat down and I was like, 'Oh my God, no! Now, I have to pee in front of Jennifer Lopez. This is awful.'" She was seemingly obsessed with the idea of Jennifer Lopez hearing her pee, so she opted to "wait it out," in the hopes the singer and actress would leave. Alas … "And then, like, three minutes went by, and I still hadn't made a sound. And there we were: stand-off," Kate continued. She tried texting Aidy Bryant as a lifeline, demanding she, "come here and pee with me in front of Jennifer Lopez." But that didn't work either. "She was like, 'You're on your own.'" More time passed. Kate fionally began to relieve herself. Her recollection of the experience? "The sound of your own pee in a room alone with Jennifer Lopez is like goats being slaughtered….You don't forget. It's pretty bad." Oh, the humanity!

After making 25 acclaimed films, Martin Scorcese may be hanging up his director cap and heading into retirement after "The Irishman." If he does indeed quit the movie biz, it would be in part because of the demand for — yep — superhero movies. "Obviously, we have been discussing this a lot, that theatres have been commandeered by superhero films –- you know, just people flying around and banging and crashing, which is fine if you want to see it.," he recently told The Guardian, referring to his now-viral comments blasting the superhero genre. "It's just that there's no room for another kind of picture," he explained. "I don't know how many more I can make — maybe this is it. The last one. So the idea was to at least get it made and maybe show it for one day at the NFT, maybe one day at the Cinémathèque in Paris. I'm not kidding." He continued: "We are in a situation now where the theatres are only showing the latest superhero films. You have 12 screens — and 11 are the superhero film. You enjoy superhero films, fine, but you need 11 screens? It's crazy for a picture like, you know, 'Lady Bird' or 'The Souvenir.' Those films may not necessarily be hugely commercial, but there are films that are modest and genuine and find a large audience. Just because a film is commercial doesn't mean it can't be art. What has consumed the theatres is product."

Orlando Jones' 'American Gods' firing sparks SAG-AFTRA to expand 'AGT' investigation

After the actors' union announced it was investigating claims about Gabrielle Union's firing from "America's Got Talent," Orlando Jones claimed he was axed from "American Gods," which is produced by the same production company, for racially motivated reasons. Now, SAG-AFTRA is expanding its investigation of Gabrielle's firing to cover Orlando's firing from the Starz series. "After initial meetings with Gabrielle Union and her representatives about her experiences on America's Got Talent, and after learning more about Orlando Jones's experience on American Gods, SAG-AFTRA is expanding its investigation of Fremantle Media," the union told Variety this week in a statement. "Our enforcement actions are handled confidentially to protect the members involved, and we typically do not publicize these matters unless the affected members request that we do so. We have nothing further to report at this time." Fremantle Media responded with a statement saying the company will "cooperate fully." Fremantle added: "Allegations without factual support should not go unchecked. We have already informed SAG-AFTRA that we are willing to meet to discuss the allegations."

Lea Michele is 'down with' Lindsay Lohan's shade

When Lea Michele was announced as the star of a production of "The Little Mermaid" earlier this year, Lindsay Lohan, who's previously said Ariel would be her "dream role" (ahem), didn't hide her disbelief, sharing the news and writing simply, "Huh?" on Instagram. That response was fine with Lea, apparently. The "Glee" alum stopped by "Watch What Happens Live" on Thursday, Dec. 19, and was asked about the shade by a caller. "I know, I saw that!" Andy Cohen then asked for the backstory, prompting Lea to explain: "They announced that I was playing Ariel at the Hollywood Bowl and I think she wrote like, 'What?' Dwayne Wade gets candid about his admiration for LGBTQ+ child, Zion

Dwayne Wade couldn't be more impressed with his 12-year-old. The NBA star, who welcomed a daughter with Gabrielle Union last year, opened up about Zion, one of two children from his previous relationship, on this week's "All the Smoke" podcast. Praising Zion, who was born with male anatomy, for becoming "who she now eventually came into," the NBA star explained (via Page Six): "First of all, if you want to talk about strength and courage, my 12-year-old has way more than I have. You can learn something from your kids." Zion recently came out as part of the LGBTQ+ community and attended Pride this year with his stepmom, Gabrielle. "There's going to be a lot of negativity, there's going to be a lot of hate," Dwayne said. "And it's not even just for my son's sexuality. It's just about being a young, black man or young, black woman."
