Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in late September 2019, starting with this rebound relationship… Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter have already called it quits, multiple media outlets reported on Sept. 21. "They're still friends," said a People magazine source. "They've been friends forever and were there for each other when they were both getting separated, but they're just not in a romantic relationship anymore." A second source told People that the singer-actress simply "doesn't want a serious relationship" right now. "She and Kaitlynn spent every day together and it just wasn't anything that Miley wanted to continue doing," said the source. "She wants to focus on her career." Four days later, People reported that, according to yet another source, the former child star is "looking forward to being single" in the wake of her second breakup this year. "Miley split from Liam [Hemsworth] to focus on herself. Her relationship with Kaitlynn was a happy surprise," said the insider. "However, Miley was so invested in her relationship with Liam for a long time. She felt her relationship with Kaitlynn was almost moving in that direction too." On Sept. 20, DailyMail.com published exclusive photos of Kourtney Kardashian holding hands with her ex-boyfriend, Younes Bendjima, during a recent outing in Los Angeles, indicating that the pair have reconciled romantically. (It's unclear when exactly the photos were taken.) The following day, People magazine reported that, according to a source, the duo are "casually dating" but their relationship is "more of a friend situation" and "definitely not a relationship." Said the source, "They spend some time together. … They have known each other for a long time and Kourtney has fun with him. … She isn't happy about being photographed with him though. She has been trying to just keep it private."

Cassie and Alex Fine tied the knot in Malibu, their pal Peter Berg, who officiated the nuptials, revealed on Instagram on Sept. 25. "By the power vested in me…. @alexfine44 n @cassie ❤️💥❤️ Long may you ride!" the director captioned a photo of the bride and groom, who got engaged in August and are currently expecting a baby girl.
On Sept. 26, Buckingham Palace announced that Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend of nearly a year, British-Italian property developer (and single dad!) Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are engaged. "We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can't wait to be married," the couple — who plan to tie the knot in 2020 — said in a statement. "We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead."
Us Weekly reported on Sept. 25 that Brad Pitt is dating Sat Hari Khalsa, to whom he was first linked in September 2018. (At the time, Gossip Cop reported that the pair, who sat at the same table at a charity event, simply had mutual friends.) According to an Us Weekly source, the jewelry designer and holistic healer — who was seen at an afterparty following a screening of Brad's new film, "Ad Astra" earlier in September — is "very strong" and has "a beautiful mind," which is "what he's attracted to." But the same day Us's story came out, another source shot it down to E! News, insisting that any suggestion that the two are more than simply friends is "entirely false."
Ben Stiller and his wife, Christine Taylor, posed together on the purple carpet during the 2019 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sept. 22, seemingly confirming rumors from earlier this year that they're giving their relationship another shot after announcing their separation in mid-2017. "With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate," they said at the time.
During a Sept. 24 interview with "Entertainment Tonight," Tyler Cameron said that he and Gigi Hadid, to whom he was first linked in August, are "just friends." Said the male model, "That's just where we're at. Our relationship doesn't need to be public. She's good people, she's an amazing person and we're just keeping it friendly." Continued the recent "The Bachelorette" contestant, "I'm at the point where I don't really want to talk about my relationships. I've dated publicly, so I'm trying to date privately, and I'm not in love with anybody right now." He added of Gigi, "She's an amazing person. We have a great time together. We've hung out a few times. That's all." Tyler accompanied Gigi to her grandmother's funeral in the Netherlands in early September.
On Sept. 19, Kenya Moore and Marc Daly released separate statements announcing that they're calling it quits after two years of marriage and a daughter, Brooklyn, together. "It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband Marc Daly," said the "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star, according to People magazine. "Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward." Said the restaurateur, "I have come to the difficult decision to separate from Kenya at this time. Our daughter has two parents that love her very much and in her best interests, this situation should remain as private as possible. I cherish our family's good times together and will continue to co-parent in a loving way. Rumors, innuendo or false accusations only serve to hurt our family and will be addressed through counsel as the law permits. Please respect our privacy during this challenging period."
Mike Johnson dished on his burgeoning relationship with Demi Lovato during a Sept. 19 interview with Us Weekly: "I'm enjoying getting to know her, and I hope she's enjoying getting to know me," he said, adding that they've had "serious conversations" during their time together. "The No. 1 thing I like about Demi is that when we had our first real conversation, she said, 'Hey, this is how it is. Take it or leave it.' For her to be that strong, powerful and upfront — wow!" continued the Bachelor Nation star. "She was real. She's the real [deal]. I love it. … Once you get to know Demi and you really talk to her, she is literally such a down-to-earth person." Also on Sept. 19, Mike addressed his relationship with "Bachelor in Paradise" co-star Sydney Lotuaco on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast: "I broke it off with Sydney," he said. "I felt a couple things. I felt like she didn't find me sexually attractive [and] I felt like our connection was just not there whatsoever. … I think that we both were trying, and I think that Sydney is a diamond. … But that diamond wasn't for me." He added that the breakup was "respectful on both sides" and "mutual." Us Weekly reported on Sept. 24 that, according to a source, Colton Underwood "has talked about proposing" to his girlfriend, Cassie Randolph, "sometime in the next few months" but "knows that she is not in a rush to get married." Said the source, "She was pretty hesitant about their relationship at first, but she ultimately fell for Colton and now loves him. … At the moment, he definitely has stronger feelings than she does though. Cassie grew up with very traditional values. The thought of taking the next step in their relationship scares her at times because she is still very young." Country crooner Tyler Rich and "L.A.'s Finest" actress Sabina Gadecki tied the knot at Saddle Woods Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Sept. 20. According to People magazine, which published exclusive photos, 275 guests were on hand for the music festival-themed nuptials — a nod to Southern California's Stagecoach festival, where the bride and groom met in 2016. Ayesha Curry served as one of Sabina's 12 bridesmaids and lent the actress, who reportedly donned two Galia Lahav gowns, her "something borrowed" — a bracelet she wore when she married basketball star Stephen Curry back in 2011.
According to People magazine, "Little People, Big World" star Amy Roloff accepted a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, Chris Marek, on Sept. 18. "I'm excited, I'm so surprised, I'm thrilled!" she told the magazine. "I never in a million years thought I'd be getting married again, but I also hoped for it! Now that it's happening, I couldn't be happier or more excited." The duo started seeing each other in 2016 after her divorce from "LPBW" co-star Matt Roloff following nearly three decades of marriage. Amy later took to Instagram to show off her new engagement bling: "Guess what! I wanted to share with you- I'm engaged! ❤️❤️❤️. I was so surprised when Chris asked me to marry him. I said YES 😄💍. Jay Baruchel and Rebecca-Jo Dunham tied the knot in Portugal on Sept. 21, the "Man Seeking Woman" star revealed on Twitter. "And, this happened today," he captioned a photo of his nuptials, during which he wore a tux and sneakers. He popped the question in May 2018.
Kristen Doute took to Instagram on Sept. 21 to give an update on the current status of her off-and-on relationship with Brian Carter. "Relationships are messy, and it's not fair to anyone to hide from the truth for the sake of criticism," she captioned a photo of herself. "I haven't come to terms with everyone wanting a black and white answer of where Carter and I stand. I want to scream, what about the gray parts of this, the undefinable aspects of loving and caring for someone, while knowing that they aren't your person anymore? After the therapy, the meditation, all the steps you take to pursue actual self love, how do you define the realization that you have to move on in order to truly grow? Whitney Fransway left Season 6 of "Bachelor in Paradise" early to pursue a relationship with Connor Saeli, who departed the show right as she arrived. On Sept. 22, she took to Instagram to explain that they recently called it quits: "Connor and I really hit off at 'Paradise' this year. We had an instant spark between us. When we left 'Paradise,' it allowed us to explore that spark further," she captioned a slideshow of two photos of them together. "Jumping into a long-distance relationship, right after, made it more difficult. At the end of August, we started having more serious conversations about where we saw our relationship going. Tiesto and model Annika Backes tied the knot in front of 80 guests at the Amangiri resort in Utah on Sept. 21. The 50-year-old DJ and the 23-year-old beauty reportedly met through mutual friends in early 2015. The bride donned gowns by Oscar de la Renta and Berta on her wedding day. "I felt overwhelmed with emotions because we have been in love for so long and thinking about this day forever, and then it was finally here," Tiesto told Vogue, which published exclusive wedding photos.
Food Network star Sandra Lee and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo are calling it quits after 14 years of coupledom, they announced on Sept. 25. "Over the recent past, we have realized that our lives have gone in different directions and our romantic relationship has turned into a deep friendship," they said in a joint statement first released to Zack Fink. "We will always be family and are fully supportive of each other and dedicated to the girls. Our personal lives remain personal and there will be no further comment." (The politician has three daughters with his ex-wife.) In May, the longtime couple shot down breakup rumors.
During a Sept. 20 interview on Australia's "Kyle & Jackie O" radio show, Lindsay Lohan revealed that she's recently single: "Actually, I was seeing someone and we broke up today," she said. "You wouldn't even know who he was. But I had a bit of a day." When the hosts followed up to ask if her mystery man is Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Salman, the singer-actress fired back, "Clearly he wasn't a [prince] because I let him go first." There were rumors earlier this year that the controversial dignitary was trying to woo the starlet.
On Sept. 26, a representative for Lexy Panterra released a statement to Wonderwall.com denying a report from earlier in the month that she and former love Brooklyn Beckham recently rekindled their relationship. "Lexy and Brooklyn did go to a club together in London. They are not dating and Lexy is not interested in rekindling their relationship. They do remain friends but Lexy does not communicate with Brooklyn regularly." The rep added that Lexy has said they might hang out again "maybe in February at the next London Fashion Week."
On Sept. 19, a judge signed off on Billy Bush's divorce from Sydney Davis. According to People magazine, due to the former couple's "mutual desire to maintain [their] respective rights to financial and personal privacy," they've yet to file the judgment pertaining to their spousal support, child support and child custody. They have two adult daughters and one teen daughter.
Ryan Seacrest again fueled rumors that he and off-and-on love Shayna Taylor have reconciled when he said on the Sept. 19 episode of "Live with Kelly and Ryan" that the blonde beauty will be joining him and his family for Thanksgiving this year.
In her new memoir "Inside Out," which hit bookshelves on Sept. 24, Demi Moore drops a few major bombshells about her marriage to Ashton Kutcher: She fell madly in love with him after they met at a mutual friend's party in early 2003, she wrote. But things took a turn for the worse after she suffered a miscarriage and several failed attempts at IVF. They later engaged in threesomes, which she called a "mistake." Then in 2010, she learned that he'd cheated in their home with a 21-year-old woman he met while bowling with her daughter, Rumer Willis. "Because we had brought a third party into our relationship, Ashton said, that blurred the lines and, to some extent, justified what he'd done," she wrote, adding that they were still together in 2011 when he cheated again with a woman he met in San Diego during Danny Masterson's bachelor party. On the Sept. 24 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Demi revealed that she gave Ashton a heads up that she'd be discussing troubling aspects of their marriage in her book. She also addressed the threesomes: "He expressed something that was of a fantasy and [I did it] in my efforts to want to please and be what I thought he wanted," she said. "It was a misguided sense of not really wanting to look maybe at the harder question or maybe what was really missing. … I really felt like I had created an addiction to him — that my codependency, in a way, I never had before. I'd never had that kind of attachment." During an interview with WSJ. Magazine that hit the Internet on Sept. 24, the "Ghost" actress described the current state of her relationship with Ashton as "friendly" because they "have some things that overlap" — specifically Thorn, the international anti-human trafficking organization they co-founded). They're not "hanging out" though, she said. She also confirmed that she's currently single: "I'm focusing on my relationship with myself," she said.
During her appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Demi Moore also opened up about her friendship with ex-husband Bruce Willis, with whom she shares three adult daughters: "I'm really grateful for — rolling all the way back, it's been a long time since we separated — that we were both able to be clear that our children were our priority and that whatever we had was not theirs and find a way to share and be a family in a different form. And even though it can require just some healing and time, I think it's made a huge difference in my children's life to feel that they didn't have to choose [between us]." (Bruce and his wife, Emma Heming, even joined his former love at her Sept. 23 book launch party in Los Angeles.) Demi also told Ellen that she's currently single "by choice."
Also in her book, "Inside Out," Demi Moore writes that she and Jon Cryer hooked up while working together on 1984's "No Small Affair." Wrote the actress, "Jon fell for me in real life, too, and lost his virginity to me while we were making that movie. … It pains me to think of how callous I was with his feelings — that I stole what could have been such an important and beautiful moment from him." She went on to explain that their relationship was doomed because she was doing "some seriously self-destructive things" at that point in her life. The "Two and a Half Men" star took to Twitter on Sept. 24 to address Demi's claims about their relationship: "Well, the good thing about this is she doesn't have to feel bad about it anymore, because while I'm sure she was totally justified making that assumption based on my skill level (and the stunned look on my face at the time), I had actually lost my virginity in high school," he tweeted. "But she's right the other part, I was over the moon for her during a very troubled time in her life. I have nothing but affection for her and not a regret in the world." Demi also wrote in her book that she shared "one ill-advised late night" with another famous co-star — Rob Lowe — while they were making "St. Elmo's Fire." And she gushed of ex-fiancé Emilio Estevez, "I liked all my co-stars and remain close to some of them today, but the person who stands out from this period is, of course, Emilio."
Liam Payne made his relationship with Maya Henry Instagram official on Feb. 20. "Sometimes I don't recognize this happy guy… sure glad you brought him back though," he captioned a photo of himself laughing while canoodling with the model. He went on to thank the people in his life who contributed to his new song, "Stack It Up," and "then last but not least this one @maya_henry for always keeping the biggest smile on my face through all the stress and making me realize how perfect my life really is." He concluded by saying "love you" to Maya, who commented, "So proud of you and so glad we can be happy together." During a Sept. 18 appearance on a British radio show, Liam said he's "very happy right now" with Maya. "I am very lucky. She is really great. She's awesome," he said before describing how his girlfriend is different from other women he's romanced. "The difference is with her, she's so relaxed that it helps me relax in a situation, rather than being somewhere and talk about who is watching and what's going on," he said. "People are going to watch whatever. What am I supposed to do? I can't do anything about it now. It's too late for that."
On Sept. 22, Phaedra Parks went Instagram official with her boyfriend, Medina Islam, in honor of his birthday. "#HappyBirthday @medinadidit," she captioned a photo of her beau with his arms wrapped around her waist. "Thank u My Beautiful Queen," the birthday boy wrote in the comments section. The former star of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" later told People magazine that she and Medina are "still in the bubble" and have been dating for nearly six months after meeting on a dating app, though they knew each other from around town and have mutual friends. "He's a really good guy," she said of the Los Angeles-based actor. "He's very calming and soothing and mild-mannered. I always dealt with the bad boys, and he's very opposite from any guy I've ever dated. So that's refreshing." There is one issue between them, Phaedra admitted: "It's hard doing the long distance, especially bi-coastal because L.A. is a super-long flight, outside of just the time difference," she said. "But we've been making it work! He's an actor so he's in New York quite a bit, and then he comes to Atlanta, and I get to L.A. to see him as well." She added that Medina has yet to meet her two sons.
On the Sept. 24 episode of "The Wendy Williams Show," Nicole Murphy opened up about getting caught on camera kissing a married man — director Antoine Fuqua — in Italy in July. "I wish it didn't happen," she said. "It was a moment where I should've thought more through the situation — made better judgments. It's something that I apologize for." She went on to blame her travel schedule for her bad behavior: "I was out there for business," she said. "There was familiar faces out there. And it happened. … We were on a different time zone. I was having a hard time staying awake. I was drinking an espresso." Continued Eddie Murphy's former missus, "It was a moment that should not have happened. I regret it and I apologize for it. I'm a human being. It was a mistake. Basically, women, this could happen to you — do your research." In July, TMZ reported that Nicole was under the impression that Antoine and his wife were no longer together: "At the moment, maybe I had a different impression of the situation," she told Wendy, adding that her critics "said that I broke up somebody's marriage, which is absolutely false — I never did that." She also denied that she had an affair with LisaRaye McCoy's ex-husband, Michael Misick, while they were still married. She concluded by saying she's currently single.
Ben Higgins and his girlfriend of nearly a year, Jessica Clarke, made their red carpet debut at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Sept. 20. The Nashville-based account manager later took to Instagram to share a photo from their big night: "I read our itinerary for the trip and saw 'red carpet' and just about died (haha) luckily, it wasn't anything major and Benjamin is a pro," she wrote in the caption. "She ain't lying. She saw red carpet and said 'I'm not doing that' and I said 'yes you are' ….she did it," the former star of "The Bachelor" wrote in the comments section.
Jordan Rodgers took to Instagram on Sept. 20 to share a video of his second proposal to JoJo Fletcher, which went down on a helicopter pad overlooking the Malibu Mountains in California in late August — more than three years after they first got engaged on the finale of Season 12 of "The Bachelorette" in mid-2016. "3 weeks ago I made the best decision of my life…again!" he wrote in the caption. "This proposal was just us, and let me tell you almost everything that could've gone wrong DID! But I wouldn't have it any other way…IT WAS PERFECTLY IMPERFECT." He went on to share "a quick overview of the near disaster that was the 48 hours before the proposal," which involved him flying to Nashville to pick up the custom ring he ordered at the last possible second. "Funny how much harder this proposal thing is without 20 producers planning the whole thing!! @joelle_fletcher I LOVE YOU," he concluded the super-sweet post. Two days earlier, he told Us Weekly that he wanted to re-propose so that he and JoJo could have that special moment for themselves "kind of like the way it would have been if we would've met in a coffee shop and not on a TV show." Said Jordan, "I just always wanted there to be an opportunity, not to overshadow or overtake the first one, but where it was just us. … No TV cameras, no drama, no 120-degree index on the beach in Thailand." He also wanted to give his fiancée — who "had absolutely no idea" a second proposal was coming — an engagement ring he paid for by himself. As for their upcoming nuptials, Jordan said that because he and his bride-to-be aren't part of the Bachelor Nation social circle, only Chris Harrison will be invited to their wedding. "We've continued to keep that relationship going after the show. He's near and dear to both of us for sure," he said.
During an interview with T.I. for his "ExpediTIously with Tip T.I. Harris" podcast, which popped up on YouTube on Sept. 23, Nick Cannon said that he's done with marriage — unless his ex-wife, Mariah Carey, whom he called his "dream girl," ever wants to marry him again. He wasn't exactly sold on the concept of marriage when they first wed in 2008 though. "I was like, 'I don't believe in marriage,' but it was Mariah Carey! Whatever she says, I'm with it!" he recalled, adding that he gave the marriage his "all." Said Nick, "I was very faithful in my marriage the whole time I was married. And the reason why we split up, it had nothing to do with infidelity or nothing like that. But I knew I would never get married again. Once I stepped away from that, I was like, 'That construct is not designed for me.'" At another point in the interview — after he admitted that he had to unlearn his "behavior when it comes to women" because he comes from a culture of "glorifying the aspect of disrespecting women" — the former child star said that he believes relationships and marriage are "designed to please women" and that he'll "never be able to be with just one woman again" or be in a relationship again. "I respect a polyamorous situation, but for me personally, that's too much of a construct with too many rules in it," he said. "I don't wanna answer to nobody! I don't want five or six [partners]. I wanna be by myself! … Forever." Continued the rapper-actor, "I don't wanna be responsible for nobody else's happiness. I'm still trying to figure out my [own life]." He went on to explain how having Lupus affects his perspective on relationships, saying that stress "puts me in the hospital … and to me, all relationships equal stress" because he's "never been in a relationship that wasn't stressful." He then said that the women he dates all know and understand where they stand with him and that he cares "deeply for a lot of them" because he has "a lot of love to give." He also said he's still "a hopeless romantic" who believes in love.
During an interview with People magazine that hit the Internet on Sept. 19, Sarah Hyland said she started planning her wedding the same night Wells Adams proposed. "Where we were staying [in Fiji] didn't have a lot of Wi-Fi, so later that night I started having a panic attack like, 'I need Pinterest to look at wedding stuff!'" she recalled. "Wells was like, 'I thought you wanted a long engagement!' I was like, 'I do, I just need to look at wedding stuff. I don't know who I've turned into!'" Continued the actress, "I bought wedding magazines, and I cut out stuff that I like visually to make vision boards. … I'm trying to curate my binder, trying to figure out what we want, DJ, band, both, who knows? I'm like Monica from 'Friends.'" But she's most excited for what happens after the wedding, she said: "I'm excited for us to buy our own house together and to build our family." Added the "Modern Family" star of getting engaged, "I just appreciate everything even more now. Even tiny things like sitting on the couch and eating chips. Look, I love to do that all day long, but if you're doing it with the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with, it's just 10 times better."
Scott Disick gushes about Sofia Richie in a preview for the Sept. 29 episode of "Flip It Like Disick." Says the father of three of his much-younger girlfriend, "I think it's hard anywhere to find somebody that you can be comfortable with, and the truth was without her, I was always looking for somebody or something. She's definitely been that little piece that's calmed me down and made me a better man and made things easier in my life."
During a Sept. 20 Q&A with fans on her Instagram Story, Tarek El Moussa's new girlfriend, Heather Rae Young, said she eventually hopes to get married: "Yesssss!! 100 %," she wrote when a fan asked if she plans to tie the knot some day. She later shared what she likes most about her beau: "Oh my So many things," she wrote. "His drive, passion, focus, loyalty, huge heart. He's my best friend.
