Britney Spears goes back to brunette!
Britney Spears must have been ready for a change this summer. Just a few days after she shared a candid post on Instagram about how heartbreaking it when people post nasty comments about her on social media, the usually blonde singer stepped out for a date night with her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, with long, dark locks instead. Another diner at Cecconi's in Los Angeles tells ET the newly-minted brunette "seemed super happy, smiling and laughing a lot" while enjoying the evening with Sam under the protection of "two security guards." ""Living in LA is such a trip !!! It can be lonely at times," she wrote on Instagram earlier this month amid an ongoing battle for her conservatorship to end. "You never know who to trust, and some people can be fake," she wrote on Instagram. "I have a very small circle of friends, and simply do what makes me happy!!! It breaks my heart to see the comments on my posts sometimes …. So I simply choose not to look anymore … let the clever haters do what they do best …. hate!!!" Brit last went to the dark hair side back in 2014.

Prince William and Duchess Kate are teaching their kids 'all about' their late grandmother, Princess Diana
This weekend, Prince William and Prince Harry plan to mark the 22nd anniversary of their mother's death by spending some time together at Kensington Palace. As a source explains in the new issue of Us Weekly, William, who's been a dad for six years now, has also made a point of honoring Princess Diana's legacy in his approach to parenting. "Diana was such a wonderful mother," the insider says. "William and Kate are doing their best to take after her when it comes to raising George, Charlotte and Louis. They're determined to give their kids a normal life, just like Diana did. If the kids misbehave, William often thinks to himself, 'What would my mom have done in this situation?'" While Prince Louis, 1, may still be too young to understand who his grandmother was, the source says William and Duchess Kate's two older children, George and Charlotte, "know all about their late grandmother and what an amazing woman she was … William tells them she's watching over them from heaven."
Alice Marie Johnson appears in campaign video for Kim Kardashian's shapewear
It's been more than a year since Kim Kardashian West helped get Alice Marie Johnson out of prison after 21 years for a nonviolent drug charge. In that time, the two have remained close, sharing dinner with their families at Kim's house and sharing bylines on the pages of Alice's memoir, "After Life: My Journey From Incarceration to Freedom," for which Kim penned the forward. According to People, Alice is now involved in one of Kim's fashion ventures, too. The 64-year-old appears in one of the first campaign videos for Kim's new shapewear line, SKIMS Solutionwear, whose tagline boasts the pieces are "for every body," given their wide range of sizes, from XXS through 5XL. In her video, Alice models a black item from the collection and shares her story as it relates to feeling comfortable and beautiful. "I was serving a 25-year sentence without the possibility of parole," Alice says. "Kim saw a video of me. She heard my story. She said, 'This is so unfair.' And by the way, I didn't even know who Kim Kardashian was! She went to war for me to fight for my freedom. That's why I call her my 'war angel,' because nothing stood between her and my freedom." She goes on to say that "every moment in life is precious to me" since she was released from prison last June. "This shapewear makes me feel that I can walk into the store, I can pick up something that I normally wouldn't think about wearing and I can put it on, and it's going to look great on me," she explains, adding, that the shapewear makes her "feel free."
Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller reveal who their celebrity 'hall passes' are
Attention, Charlize Theron and Brad Pitt: a certain couple in your midst have bestowed upon one another "hall passes" to hook up with either — or, presumably both — of you without recrimination. Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller stopped by KTLA "Morning News" in Los Angeles to promote their "Hilarity for Charity" fundraiser this week. And while they discussed the comedy event and its Alzheimer's awareness and research-focused cause, the main source of "hilarity" from their interview came courtesy of a discussion about whether they have an open marriage. Asked what it felt like when Seth was shooting "Long Shot" to have her husband come home from work and talk about making out with his costar, Charlize, Lauren playfully told the host, "I actually ask him, 'PLEASE, tell me what it's like, I want to know! I want to kiss her too," according to the Daily Mail. Seth chimed in to say Lauren "gets jealous," but before they left the topic of good-looking celebs, Lauren revealed that the couple has a celebrity-inspired pet name for some of their bedding. "We've named our quilt Brad Pitt because it gets so hot," she joked. So do Seth and Lauren have "hall passes" to hook up with others, the host asked. Laughing, Seth clarified, "No, we don't have an open relationship, if that's what you're asking!" Lauren begged to differ. "Oh, there's a hall pass for Brad Pitt!" she revealed. "Yes," said Seth. "Either of us are allowed to sleep with Brad Pitt, or Charlize Theron, at any given moment. Just to be fair!" Here's to gender equality …

Gwen and Blake famously met on the show in 2014 and fell in love before Gwen decided to give up her spot as a coach. Now that she's returned, she says her costars, including Blake, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson, better watch out. "I am back, and this is my season to win!" she announces in the video. "My life changed so much on this show," she continues. "And then to be with my best friend Blakey, and to be here with Kelly and John, I feel pretty lucky right now." "The Voice" premieres on NBC on Sept. 23.
Alex Trebek returns to work after chemo, set to host Season 36 of 'Jeopardy!'
He's back! After undergoing chemotherapy for stage 4 pancreatic cancer, Alex Trebek announced this week he's returned to work as production gets underway for Season 36 of "Jeopardy!" "Let me tell you, it's going to be a good year," the 79-year-old said in a video about the show excerpted by Page Six. The news comes nearly three months after the lpong-running quiz show host told People some of his tumors had gotten 50 percent smaller thanks to treatment and, he thought at the time, the well wishes he's gotten from fans. "Jeopardy!" returns to the air on Sept. 9.
Kirsten Dunst worries she's still just seen as 'the girl from 'Bring It On'
Make one blockbuster or cult film and it's easy for Hollywood to forget you've done anything else. Just ask Kirsten Dunst, whose performance on "On Becoming a God in Central Florida," has been praised widely by critics as the highlight of the series. "For me, I feel like a lot of things I do people like later," the 37-year-old said on "In-Depth With Larry Flick" on Tuesday, Aug. 27, according to Us Weekly. "And also, I've never been recognized in my industry. I've never been nominated for anything. Maybe, like, twice for a Golden Globe when I was little and one for Fargo." Instead, Kirsten feels like people still just associate her as "the girl from 'Bring It On.'" The truth is, Kirsten's c.v. features recent highlights like FX's "Fargo," "The Beguiled" and "Hidden Figures," plus early awards nominations for "The Virgin Suicides" and "Interview With a Vampire." Explaining why "it'd be nice to be recognized by your peers" more than she seems to be, Kirsten also admitted her laid-back attitude about the whole thing probably has something to do with her degree of recognition. "I am so chill. Maybe I don't play the game enough? But then I do, I mean, I do everything I'm supposed to. It's not like I'm rude or, like, not doing publicity or anything," she said. "All you have is your work at the end of the day and that's all people really care about, and I'm intelligent enough to know that and have perspective."
Jussie Smollett's PR team defends actor in new filing
A public relations team representing Jussie Smollett is speaking out against the city of Chicago's recent filing in a lawsuit aimed at the actor on grounds he staged a racist, homophobic attack there in January to make it appear he was victimized. The city filed a statement on Monday, Aug. 26, defending the suit, according to Page Six. Seemingly in response, Jussie's team emailed a statement to the court on Wednesday to the court asserting that "every iota of information … Smollett has stated has been fully corroborated." There were no further details about the corroboration. The city's filing pointed to GPS data, video and other evidence as proof the "Empire" star set up the attack and lied to police about it.
