Is Britney Spears done with music for good?
It's a good bet things are tense at Britney Spears' house this week. On Tuesday, March 3, the singer's 12-year-old son Jayden Federline hopped on Instagram Live and proceeded to talk his mom's personal life and future. The post and related comments have since been taken down, but Refinery 29 reports there were some bombshells that got dropped first. Among them, was Jayden's reply to a fan who wondered whether Britney was making new music. "Actually I haven't seen her doing a lot of music at all," he said during the stream. He went on to say that he'd asked her about it at one point and she told him she "might just quit it." Britney has been on a hiatus for years, during which time she's had multiple conflicts with her father regarding her conservatorship. Jayden also weighed in on his opinion of his grandpa, whom Kevin Federline (Jayden and Sean Federline's dad) has accused of physically harming Sean. Let's just say Jayden summed up Jamie Spears with a not-so-friendly four-letter word. On a happier note, he apparently gave two thumbs-up to Britney's boyfriend, Sam Asghari. Jayden's account was later made private.

Russell Brand calls Katy Perry 'a lovely human being'
Russell Brand is reportedly acknowledging his ex-wife Katy Perry in his comedy routines now. Multiple sources (via JustJared) reported this week that during a performance at the State Theater in Sydney, Australia, Russell mentioned Katy's name in his intro onstage. Later, he referenced her again. "He was taking questions from the audience, and someone asked him about love," an audience member told Us Weekly. "Then, another person called out Katy's name and Russell said she is a 'lovely human being' but wouldn't say more." The two were married for less than two years after tying the knot in 2010.

Ben Affleck has spent plenty of time playing a superhero onscreen, but as he told Jimmy Kimmel on the Tuesday, March 3, edition of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Adam Driver is a real-life superhero in Ben's eyes. The two actors are currently filming "The Last Duel" with Ben's pal Matt Damon, and when Ben raced back to Los Angeles recently from shooting the film in Europe for his son Samuel's 8th birthday party, he came home to find the gifts he'd gotten Samuel were late. He had already asked Adam to film a video as his "Star Wars" character Kylo Ren for the birthday boy, though. "My son knows that I do movies that are kinda fake and his mom does movies and that's all pretend, but he also knows that 'Star Wars' is real," Ben explained (via the Boston Globe). "There's guys out there fighting the emperor, and that job needs to get done, and I can do my fake bull—-, and some people can do an important job." Still, he was about to go to Samuel's party, empty-handed — a prospect that gave him what he called "this sort of sinking, awful feeling," especially since his divorce from Samuel's mom Jennifer Garner meant he only gets to see his son "half the time," That's when he found out Adam had come to the rescue. It seems Adam had contacted Ben's assistant, gotten his address and sent gifts as well as a signed card and photo, all from Kylo Ren. "I watched him open all the other presents, and then I said, 'Sam, my presents didn't get here on time. But I did get a present from somebody who really wanted to make sure you got a gift,'" Ben recalled, getting emotional. "And he was like, 'Who?' And I said, 'Kylo Ren,'" Ben continued. "He opened the presents, I played him the video of Kylo Ren, and it was an incredibly moving and powerful moment. Adam made me a hero to my kid, and I will never, ever, ever forget that."

Will Brian Williams take over Chris Matthews' prime time slot at MSNBC?
Around this time last year, rumors circulated suggesting Brian Williams was on the verge of returning to prime time in the wake of a news scandal in which he admitted to exaggerating the details of his reporting. In fact, Page Six reported Brian was possibly up for taking over Chris Matthews' 7pm slot on MSNBC. That never happened, but Chris Matthews' sudden retirement announcement breathed new life into some of those rumors about Brian's future. This time, Page Six reports Brian is not "even in the running" for the slot, though. According to a source, Brian is currently "happy and winning in the ratings at 11 p.m," whereas "he'd be judged very differently" at prime time. "The audience wants red meat at 7, not a news recap," said the source. NBC execs did not comment.
Lady Gaga reacts to her new song interrupting a coronavirus meeting in Italy
Sometimes even world leaders need a little break — and it seems at least one bigwig in Italy is using Lady Gaga's new track "Stupid Love" to take just that. In a now-viral video online, a meeting among officials in Italy about the spread of Coronavirus is suddenly interrupted by Lady G.'s new pop hit, thanks to someone's not-silenced cell phone. The music ended up giving folks a chance to take a breather and have a laugh, according to Just Jared. And yes, the singer knows what happened. Responding to the video on Twitter this week, she cracked, "and this is why I make music."
Queen Elizabeth sends a 'cheers' to Prince William after his Guiness shoutout
Nearly a decade ago, Queen Elizabeth II visited Dublin's Guinness Storehouse, where employees taught her just how to pour the perfect pint of Ireland's most famous beer. This week, her Majesty's grandson Prince William found himself in the same storehouse for a reception with Duchess Kate. According to E! News, he joked that he and Kate were "retracing the footsteps" of the queen, therefore they obviously needed to try some suds. "Now, ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you it is not often that I find myself following The Queen to a pub," he joked. "But I am looking forward to testing for myself the theory that Guinness tastes even better in Ireland than overseas." The prince went on to thank everyone in the room, including the British ambassador of Ireland, who hosted the event, for "all that you do to support the very special relationship between our two countries." The next day, however, the palace's official Twitter — and, apparently the queen — were still feeling lighthearted about William's shoutout. A clip of the moment appeared on the Royal Family's account, along with what was presumably the queen's response: "Cheers!" followed by a beer emoji.
Flavor Flav blames Chuck D, not Bernie, for Public Enemy ouster
Flavor Flav's ouster from Public Enemy had nothing to do with a performance at a rally for Bernie Sanders. That's according to Flav, who tells the Guardian Chuck D's announcement that P.E.'s co-founder and hype man was out of the band because he refused to perform at the rally is about his complicated and often tense relationship with Chuck. "I don't have anything against Bernie. I think he's a good person and I wish him luck," Flav noted. "I think they're all good people," he added. "Except Trump. Some people tried to say I did this because I'm a Trump supporter and that's not true …" The "this" in question was that Flav's lawyers sent Bernie a letter telling him his campaign wasn't authorized to use his image, including in connection with the planned rally performance, because Flav hasn't endorsed anyone for president. P.E. then announced Flav would no longer be part of the group and thanked him for his dedication through the years. Speaking to the Guardian, Flav said, "Why try to say I'm a part of something I'm not a part of? That was all Chuck D." Chuck, meanwhile, has tweeted that the Flav issues are longstanding. "My last straw was long ago," he wrote. "It's not about Bernie with Flav … he don't know the difference between [the American football player] Barry Sanders or Bernie Sanders … So I don't attack Flav on what he don't know."

A source tells Us Weekly that before the actor fell in love with and married Jodie-Turner Smith, he was "heartbroken" about Diane and that he "took it pretty hard" when his recent ex moved on with Norman Reedus. These days, though, everyone appears to be happy. Diane and Norman welcomed their first child together at the end of 2018, while Joshua and Jodie reportedly tied the knot last year. They're currently expecting their first child together. Says the Us source: "[Jodie] is a really sweet person. It's a good match."
Ronan and Dylan Farrow slam the publisher of Woody Allen's new memoir
Woody Allen is set to release a new book, "Apropos of Nothing." on Grand Central Publishing — and his children Ronan Farrow and Dylan Farrow are furious, to say the least. Grand Central is a division of Hachette Book Group, as is Little, Brown and Company, on which Ronan published "Catch and Kill," which details how Allen and other men in Hollywood's elite have used their power to exploit and sexually assault or otherwise abuse women through the years. Dylan has long claimed her father molested her; he has long denied the claim. Both Farrows spoke out about the news on social media this week. "I was disappointed to learn through press reports that Hachette, my publisher, acquired Woody Allen's memoir after other major publishers refused to do so and concealed the decision from me and its own employees while we were working on Catch and Kill — a book about how powerful men, including Woody Allen, avoid accountability for sexual abuse," Ronan tweeted (via CNN). Dylan also spoke out, posting what she called her "statement on the disappointing and, frankly shocking, news from @HachetteUS." "Hatchette's publishing of Woody Allen's memoir is deeply upsetting to me personally and an utter betrayal of my brother whose brave reporting, capitalized on by Hachette, gave voice to numerous survivors of sexual assault by powerful men," she wrote. Dylan and Ronan both went on to say fact-checkers had not contacted them about the memoir. "This provides yet another example of the profound privilege that power, money, and notoriety affords," Dylan continued. "Hachette's complicity in this should be called out for what it is and they should have to answer for it." Added Ronan: "It's wildly unprofessional in multiple obvious directions for Hachette to behave this way. But it also shows a lack of ethics and compassion for victims of sexual abuse, regardless of any personal connection or breach of trust here." He noted that he's asked for a "thorough fact check of Woody Allen's account, in particular any claim that implies my sister is not telling the truth," in the book. "I've also told Hachette that a publisher that would conduct itself in this way is one I can't work with in good conscience," he wrote.
Corey Feldman to name the men he claims raped him and Corey Haim as kids in new doc
Corey Feldman is preparing to stream a new documentary in which he says he will name the men he says sexually assaulted him and his friend Corey Haim when they were child stars. Until now, he's only described his alleged attackers as "powerful men in Hollywood." He tells EW he's ready to go one step further in "(My) Truth: The Rape of 2 Coreys." "It's been a tumultuous and very risky and very scary time period," he says. "The last two years have been insurmountable, but I believe that with great risk comes great reward. And I believe the reward in all of this, if nothing else, will be that these guys are finally exposed. I'm hoping that what happened to [Harvey] Weinstein [will happen], that multiple victims will come forward. And as a result, these guys will finally get indictments and we can put them out of business." Corey Haim died in 2010. Adding that the #MeToo movement contributed to his momentum in speaking out about his alleged abuse, he hopes the film "… kind of clears the pathway for more justice and for more voices to be heard, because this is really about enabling the voice of the survivor and empowering the survivor and turning the tables." "(My) Truth: The Rape of 2 Coreys" will stream as a pay-per-view movie on the film's website on March 9 and 10 only, according to EW.
