Cardi B shares heart-bedazzled pic of ex, Offset, says she wants to 'go home'

It seems like just a matter of time before Cardi B and Offset find their way back into each other's arms. Since the two called it quits last year over allegations Offset cheater, the Migos rapper has made multiple public pleas for his wife's love. It seems like she may finally be coming around. On Tuesday, Jan. 22, Cardi shared a screenshot from a Facetime call with Offset, who was nuzzling the daughter the two share in the pic (via TMZ). Adding hearts to the image, Cardi wrote simply, "i wanna go home." The post comes on the heels of an Us Weekly report claiming Cardi and Offset are "in constant communication" and could be "fully back together very soon."

Kendall Jenner hangs with Ben Simmons' mom while cheering on rumored NBA beau

More proof Kendall Jenner's not to blame for any home court Sixers losses came on Monday, Jan. 21, when the model joined her NBA star boyfriend, Ben Simmons' mom, Julie Simmons, to watch the team beat the Houston Rockets, 121-93, in Philadelphia. (Earlier this month, Phily fans were circulating a Change.org petition asking to have the "KUWTK" star banned from games at the Wells Fargo Center because of Ben's performance in a surprise home court loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.) It was the second game Kendall caught in the City of Brotherly Love over the holiday weekend, which Kendall seems to have spent getting closer to the 22-year-old Australia native, though she's long been determined to keep her romantic relationships as private as possible. The two have reportedly been dating off and on since May 2018.

Jimmy Kimmel: 'It definitely took some time' to become friends with Sarah Silverman after split

When Sarah Silverman stopped by her ex, Jimmy Kimmel's show in September, she joked she was single while "waiting for this tryst" Jimmy was having with his wife, Molly McNearny "to be over." Some adorable, friendly banter followed, making it clear there were no hard feelings between the two, who split in 2009 after five years of dating. On Monday's edition of "Watch What Happens Live," though, Jimmy admitted he and Sarah didn't become pals immediately after they called it quits. "I would say that it took some time definitely. It definitely took some time," he said, according to Page Six. "It was never where we didn't like each other, hated each other, but it definitely took some time to be comfortable enough to be friends again," he added. Jimmy married Molly in 2013, while Sarah went on to date Michael Sheen for four years. They split in late 2017.

Chris Brown arrested in Paris amid rape, drug allegations

CNN reports Chris Brown has been arrested in Paris after being accused of aggravated rape and drug violations. As of Tuesday, Jan. 22, he was still in custody, along with two other people whose names have not been released, according to a French judicial source. TMZ was first to report the news and has since said the next step is for the singer to be released or appear in court within two days. If he heads to court, a judge could either decide to keep him in custody or to release him with "obligations," that could potentially include giving up his passport and staying in Paris until after the trial. That process could take as long as a year. Since his most infamous run-in with police after a fight with Rihanna in 2009 that left her bloodied and bruised, he's been arrested for felony battery for allegedly punching a man who took his photo without getting permission.

Harry Connick Jr. writes open letter to NFL commissioner, vows to boycott Super Bowl

New Orleans native and lifelong Saints fan Harry Connick, Jr., was heartbroken and angry after refs failed to call two penalties in the fourth quarter of his team's NFC Championship game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Jan. 21 — a "no-call" that was largely thought to have caused the Saints to lose in overtime. Having posted a series of Saints-focused videos leading up to the game, Harry hopped on Instagram again to share a letter promising NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodall, he would be boycotting Super Bowl LII. "I love the game of football so much — the NFL gives me great joy and has for many years," wrote the musician, who even dressed up like a Saints player for Heidi Klum's Halloween party last year. "To not call the pass interference/helmet-to-helmet penalties at the end of the game was one of the most disgraceful no-calls I have ever seen," he continued. "The officiating this year has been, for the most part, mediocre, in my opinion. But for a game as important as the NFC championship, it sickens me to know that the people who are assigned to fairly officiate the game seemingly had no regard for not only a dangerous penalty but one that would certainly have changed the outcome of the game." Before signing off, he wrote that until the rules get tweaked to allow "booth review of outcome-altering no-calls, you can count me out," adding, "I'm not watching the AFC championship game and I won't be watching the Super Bowl." In the caption to his Instagram pic of the letter, he promised other Saints fans he would be mailing the letter the next day.

Lin-Manuel Miranda in talks with Disney about 'Moana' sequel

Will Lin-Manuel Miranda be the creative mind behind Disney's first Latina princess? As the "Hamilton" creator continues to reprise his performance in his family's native Puerto Rico, he's also reportedly talking to Disney about a musical "Moana" sequel featuring a female Latin American heroine. That's according to Page Six, which checked in with Lin-Manuel's dad, Luis, for the scoop. "He is talking to Disney about a sequel to 'Moana,' but the movie would be about a Latina princess," Luis said. The talks come amid calls from multiple media sectors for expanded diversity in animated Hollywood features. Lin-Manuel has said his goal in staging "Hamilton" in Puerto Rico is to support the restoration of the arts on the island as it rebuilds after Hurricane Maria.

Lady Gaga slams Trump, Pence mid-show

Lady Gaga had plenty of reason to be happy as she picked a pair of Oscar nominations for "A Star is Born" on Tuesday, Jan. 22. Over the long weekend, though, she was so frustrated with the current state of affairs in the U.S. that she stopped singing mid-"Million Reasons" during a performance at her Las Vegas residency to take a swipe at President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. "If the f—ing president of the United States could please put our country back, there are people who live paycheck to paycheck and need their money," she said (via E! News), slamming the president for allowing the government to remain partially shut down for a record 32 days. "And to Mike Pence, who thinks it's acceptable that his wife work at a school that bans LGBTQ: you are wrong," she continued, lashing out at the veep, whose wife, Karen Pence, is facing backlash for teaching at a school that requires parents to sign an agreement promising not to condone "sexual immorality, homosexual activity or bi-sexual activity." "You say we should not discriminate against Christianity?" she asked. "You are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian. I am a Christian woman and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and everybody is welcome."

Ozzy Osbourne releases a plus bat toy — with a detachable head

These days, we tend to think of Ozzy Osbourne in terms of his up-and-down marriage to Sharon Osbourne and the various forms of drama the couple's family has shared with the world since their reality show debuted back in 2002. Lest we forget the hard rocking past of the so-called "Prince of Darkness," however, Ozzy's marketing team has released a little piece of early '80s Ozzy nostalgia, in plush toy form. Specifically, fans can now buy a 12″ Ozzy-branded stuffed bat — with a detachable head. The toy refers to the Jan. 20, 1982 concert where someone famously threw a live bat at the stage during a show in Iowa. Ozzy proceeded to pick up the bat and bite its head off. Or, as Ozzy recalled in his memoir, "I Am Ozzy" (via Page Six): "Immediately, though, something felt wrong. Very wrong. For a start, my mouth was instantly full of this warm, gloopy liquid, with the worst aftertaste you could ever imagine. I could feel it staining my teeth and running down my chin. Johnny Depp files new docs in lawsuit against British tab

Johnny Depp claims he can prove he didn't physically abuse his ex-wife, Amber Heard, while they were married. In new documents filed as part of his defamation lawsuit against The Sun, the actor shares statements from witnesses who claim to have seen Amber and the apartment where the then-couple had an argument on May 21, 2016, and that what they saw doesn't line up with the bruises and broken glass Amber said were a result of their fight. TMZ reports the witnesses say Amber was not bruised on the day she said Johnny threw a phone at her. "There was no smashed glass that I noticed in the apartment at the time," said one witness. "[The Sun] must have made a positive decision to present a totally one-sided picture," Johnny says in the docs, "leaving out my side of the story and pretending it either did not exist or was not worth considering." Johnny is also currently involved in a lawsuit stemming from an assault allegation.

Jazz Jennings and her mom open up about 'incredible,' overhwleming momnets before teen's gender confirmation surgery

The Tuesday, Jan. 22, edition of "I Am Jazz" will take viewers into the hospital with 18-year-old transgender reality star, Jazz Jennings, as she heads to the O.R. for her gender confirmation surgery. "Having my whole family with me throughout this entire journey has been so important," Jazz says in a preview clip published by People. "From the beginning they have just provided me with unconditional love and support and the fact that they're here on this day just signifies that we've come so, so far since the beginning of this journey. This is really the final step, this is the final transition, and I'm so glad that I have them by my side." She goes on to try to explain why it's so hard to put into words what the "incredible" moments before the surgery are like. "I feel like I have been envisioning this day my entire life and now it is finally happening and it's just so surreal that it's all occurring right here, right now," she says. Jazz's mother, Jeanette, also opens up about the surgery in the clip. "There's a tiny bit of, 'Wow, I gave birth to this little boy and the last reminder of that will be gone.' But that's okay, it's just weird. It's just like, you know, she was born — 'it's a boy!' Now, I have a girl. And I'm thrilled for her, because look at how happy she is," Jeannette admits. Looking overcome with emotion outside the operating room, she adds: "I'm just overwhelmed that it's happening. I don't want her to see me like this. This is a huge thing, she waited for this for so long and it's here and I'm just happy for her."
