Ciara faces backlash over toboggan ride with infant daughter
Is there an age minimum for a toboggan? There should be, according to some of Ciara's Instagram followers. The singer faced a wave of criticism after she posted a video showing her taking a toboggan ride at the Great Wall of China with her 3-month-old daughter Sienna Princess strapped to her chest in a baby carrier as her husband Russell Wilson and son Future rode behind them. "I wish I could put into words how fun this was! Going down in the toboggan at the #GreatWallOfChina with my family," Ciara captioned the clip. "Isn't this too dangerous for a new born," asked one commenter. Another chimed in, "Ok I've done it before. Not safe for a baby. She falls over. She s falling on top of baby first. Ride shouldn't have let her for insurance reasons." Some followers defended Ciara, pointing out that the baby was strapped in suggesting the ride was Ciara and Russell's decision to make. "I'm pretty sure it's safe 🙄 ," wrote a commenter. "Ciara and Russell ain't dumb. Calm down. People judging her how to parent." The family also visited Shangai Disneyland during their trip, which centered around Russell's work with a football camp for young players in China.

Duchess Kate's Germany-Poland tour wardrobe cost about $34,000
What does it cost to dress the Duchess of Cambridge for a five-day trip? About $34,000, according to the Daily Mail. The tab broke down the cost of Duchess Kate's outfits during her recent tour of Germany of Poland and figured out that her stylist Natasha Archer spent approximately $35 grand on items including a custom lavender Emilia Wickstead dress, an Alexander McQueen gown and a pair of Kiki McDonough amethyst earrings that she's worn before. Celebitchy notes that if Kate and Prince William's trip was meant to be a conciliatory, post-Brexit visit, as some have suggested, the government (aka the taxpayers), rather than Prince Charles, might be covering the cost of Kate's wardrobe.

Mika Brzezinski: Donald Trump's tweets underscore 'the sadness of this presidency'
At one time, Donald Trump and "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough were "family friends." That's according to the New Yorker, which recently ran an extensive profile of Joe and his cohost and fiancee Mika Brzezinski called "Donald Trump is Not Invited to the Wedding." As the headline suggests, the president and the "Morning Joe" stars are no longer pals, thanks to the tweets Donald fired off after Joe and Mika criticized him for "lying, among other things, on the air. "I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me," he tweeted at the time, adding, "She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!" In the New Yorker, Mika shrugged the tweets off, calling them, "just another thing you put on the shelf of sadness about this presidency." She also said that while the show's staffers "[averted] their eyes" after the incident, she's not letting it get to her. "I'm glad I'm at kind of a more confident, comfortable place in my life," Mike said. "I think if this had happened when I was, like, 30, it might've been really painful, but I'm 50. And I've been through stuff that matters, you know? So it is just face-shaming. It's just so silly. It's unbelievable."

"Until I can prove it, I'm not going to say that I believe it, but you know there's a lot of evidence in the show that made me question some longtime skepticism," said Matthew after noting that he and his family members have "varying levels of skepticism" when it comes to the topics they explore. "The fun of it at the end of the day is getting out of the house having an adventure with your kids," said Rob. "That's all we have are our memories, so for us to be able to get out and do this and have it documented is just an amazing gift." "The Lowe Files" premieres on A&E on Aug. 2.
