Just four months after announcing that she and high school sweetheart Alex Hopkins had called off their engagement, Lauren Alaina debuted her new boyfriend: comedian John Crist. The duo, who connected on Instagram in February, revealed their relationship status on "The Bobby Bones Show" on May 15. "I responded to one of his Instagram videos," said the singer. "I said, 'Haha, you're funny.' … He said, 'I too grew up performing in church in Georgia.' That was his first response to me! I was like, 'Does this guy know everything about me?'" Chimed in the funnyman, "I didn't want to be like, 'Who are you?' so I looked up her Wikipedia page. … Looking back, it was the wrong move." Added John of their big age gap, "I'm 35, her mom is 45, and she's 24. … So I'm closer to her mom's age than her. … When she and her mom are arguing about stuff, I'm literally in the middle like, 'Actually, your mom makes some good points.'"

During a May 11 chat with "Entertainment Tonight," Nikki Bella gushed of Artem Chigvintsev, to whom she was first publicly linked in January, "He's amazing. … He makes me really happy, which is good." But her twin sister, Brie Bella, hasn't always been onboard: "It took me a while [to approve]," she admitted. "But I do. I approve. He's so sweet. [My daughter] Birdie loves him." Though Nikki has refused to label their relationship, it's now clear that she and Artem are exclusive. On the May 15 episode of her "The Bellas Podcast," Nikki explained of her former "Dancing With the Stars" partner-turned-lover, "The one thing that I absolutely adore about Artem is I am not in a place to move fast or have something official, and he's such an amazing man that he's willing to take things slow with me and we still have these amazing dates, but we don't have to have labels or titles and that's what attracts me so much to him." Artem, who was a guest on the show, made it clear that he'd be crushed if Nikki saw anyone else: "It would bother me," said the professional dancer. "The fact is, we're not saying what we are titling ourselves … [but] it doesn't change the way I feel about it." He doubled down when Brie asked if her twin could sleep with someone else: "No, absolutely not … that would hurt me very much," replied Artem.
Rhea Perlman has no plans to legally end her marriage to estranged husband Danny DeVito. "I'm not getting divorced," she said on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" on May 9. "That's not in the picture, no, no, no. Not happening. What for? We do live separately. We see each other a lot too." Continued the actress, "Danny and I have always loved each other and we have three amazing children together and we really agree on almost everything important and so, you know, we were together for 40 years. Forty years is a long time! … You might have to do something else! It's OK!" She added that their relationships had been in a much better place since they separated: "It's much better [now] because all the tense stuff is gone," she said. "It's not in your face. I'm not in his face. He's not in mine … there was a hard transition through the kids and everything but everybody's got a good relationship with Danny and with me and with each other and that's all we care about."
Michael B. Jordan and Cindy Bruna sparked romance rumors when they stepped out for a four-hour dinner at Carbone in New York City on May 9. Neither the super-private actor nor the Victoria's Secret model have addressed the meet-up, though according to the paparazzi agency that snapped the pics of them together, "The pair were not trying to be seen as they split up the moment they realized they were spotted. Michael even went as far as asking the photog to delete photos of them together."
Rosario Dawson sparked speculation that she and boyfriend Cory Booker had gotten engaged when she rocked a giant sparkler (pictured) during NBCUniversal's Upfront presentation in New York City on May 13 — though upon closer inspection, the ring did not appear to resemble a traditional engagement ring. Neither the actress nor the presidential hopeful have addressed the bling buzz.
In other ring news, Padma Lakshmi sparked speculation that she and rekindled love Adam Dell had gotten engaged when she donned a diamond sparkler in New York City on May 11. Reps for the "Top Chef" host denied to Page Six that the massive rock is an engagement ring … but stopped short of denying that she's engaged.
Olivia Culpo and Zedd, who first sparked romance rumors during Coachella in April, are apparently still spending time together. The duo were seen together at the former beauty queen's 27th birthday party at Swan in Miami on May 10. "[Zedd was] getting cozy with Olivia all night and sat next to her for the entirety of the dinner," a spy told Page Six. "They were definitely into each other." In a series of since-deleted Instagram videos, the DJ could be seen affectionately touching Olivia's leg as they shared a laugh over her birthday cake, which resembled a wedding cake. "Is it your wedding?" one friend could be heard asking the pair. "She's getting married!" joked another pal.

The rumors kicked off after the TV host was spotted with a handsome "mystery man" — who turned out to be a member of her security detail — in New York City on May 11. "I am working on my divorce pleasantly right now," she said, adding that "you don't just throw away 25 years lock, stock and barrel." After calling herself "a single woman running around New York," Wendy explained that she's dating "pretty often" … but it's not what you think. "I go out a lot because I am a good-time girl. I like to have fun," she said. "I am, right now, a young and pretty New York City girl. I have the ultimate bachelorette pad high atop everything. I have a really, really good view, and I'm really, really reclaiming my life. I don't have a boyfriend, but I must admit, I am rediscovering my love of men. And, you know, [for] transparency: I do date, and I date pretty often. … And the parade of men will continue … because I need things lifted. I need things put in position. I'm still unpacking boxes, for God's sakes. And that's all I'm saying."
During a May 12 appearance on E!'s "LadyGang," Kaitlyn Bristowe revealed that it was Shawn Booth who ultimately made the decision to end their relationship. "He left me," she said. "He didn't know why he couldn't love me. … I just think the show was too hard for someone to get over. I don't know. That's what I'm going off of." The former star of "The Bachelorette" also said that while her ex kept the dog they shared during their relationship, she held onto her 3.5-carat diamond and platinum Neil Lane engagement ring. Kaitlyn has since moved on with Jason Tartick, who competed for Becca Kufrin's heart on Season 14 of "The Bachelorette" in 2018.
Jeremy Meeks took to Instagram on May 14 to shoot down rumors that he and Chloe Green called it quits. "We are still very much in love lol," he captioned a selfie with his girlfriend, with whom he welcomed a son in May 2018. But the "Hot Felon" and the Romanian beauty, who donned coordinating ensembles from the Italian couture brand Extremedy, aren't an item — they only teamed up on the red carpet as part of their promotional obligations for the fashion house.

And for our children, and for the creation of the businesses that we built together when I left my career in New York for us to move to California to pursue his, and then as a result built it… I knew, as the one that was really holding it all together, that I didn't have a lot of room to fall, even though I was falling." The former real estate agent, who launched a motherhood-themed podcast on Mother's Day, went on to say that she "never felt comfortable" in Hollywood because it's "superficial" and not part of her "value system" — which became clear when she and the "Grey's Anatomy" star called it quits and all of her friends turned their backs on her. "Most everybody I had spent the eight years here in L.A. with all went with him," she said. "It was a blessing in disguise because it was a real slap in the face to see who was around us and why, and at that point it became very clear. And it cleared a pathway for me to make a shift and get back onto a path that was more in alignment with how I wanted to live my life." As for all the gossip surrounding their breakup, "Much of what they say is wrong," she said. "But I'm not interested in a tit-for-tat, because that's just never-ending." She concluded by saying of her new public profile, "I resisted this for the last 10 years … and then I got dragged into it against my will. … It was possibly my worst nightmare. And then it played out, and now I'm better off for it."

And please arrive, please arrive.' … It was awesome. It was so funny!" She then said of how Joe and Sophie's wedding compared to her nuptials with husband Nick Jonas, "It's exactly who and what we stand for. It was very reflective of the two of them and us as couples, you know?"

This is so exciting!' I swear to everyone out there, I will tell you if and when it happens." Continued the animal expert and TV personality, "We've just been taking it easy and enjoying the ride, and we tend to really look forward into the future, which is great. … When new things come our way, we'll embrace them and it'll be a great new journey. But we're just enjoying every step of the way." She gushed of her beau, "We balance each other out very well. … Chandler's really kind. He is so consistently supportive and is always there for me and he reminds me to take care of me and not to do too much all at once, which is really nice. … He keeps me grounded instead of flying away with all my dreams and goals."

"We will see. Who knows what their plans are," she said. "They're very up and down, so I just [will] be there at some point in a dress, in sweats — we don't know!" She added of what she likes most about her brother-in-law, "I appreciate that he is always his genuine self, and that's what I'd say I like the most about him." According to Radar Online, the star of "The Real Housewives of New York City" said that she "will not be in a room" with her ex because any meeting with him is "a torture chamber" and "a vacuum of abuse" that leads to him "abusing me, making fun of me." Said the reality star, "Going to an appointment with Jason is not a good idea because he uses every way to abuse me when no one is looking." The following day, Jason took the stand and blamed the implosion of his marriage to Bethenny on the deal she signed for her Skinnygirl brand: "Prior to the deal, we were on equal footing. … We were a team and a partnership," he said. "Then the deal happened, and it seemed like I was beneath her. She made a lot of money in that deal, and my job was meaningless. … It was no longer a partnership, and anything I would do was not good enough."
