On Dec. 13, 2016, People magazine confirmed that they're indeed dating after Amber, who was partnered with Val's brother Maksim Chmerkovskiy on the last season of "DWTS," posted this Instagram photo with the caption, "Him ❤️." Though recent public hand-holding was one sign of their new relationship, this heart emoji made it crystal clear. "They're solid and in a good place," a source further told the mag. HGTV stars Tarek El Moussa and Christina El Moussa secretly split eight months ago, but the news didn't break until Dec. 13, 2016. The "Flip or Flop" stars opened up to People magazine about the end of their union. "We decided to separate while we reevaluated the next steps in our married life," the couple told the mag. "We believed this was in the best interests of the children and the best way to determine a path forward." On May 23, Christina called police after Tarek left their California home with a gun following an altercation. "Tarek was going on a hike and took a gun for protection from mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes and rattlesnakes," the couple explained to People, playing down reports that he was suicidal. Tarek and Christina split after the incident and confirm they've both started dating other people.
