Scarlett Johansson has officially finalized her divorce from her french ex, Romain Dauriac. The NY Post confirmed on Sept. 13 that the couple had sealed their settlement and submitted all pertinent documents to the Manhattan Supreme Court. The couple shares a daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac, who is three years old. Earlier this year, Scarlett sued for primary custody of the child, with Romain countering that he wanted to raise the child in France. They had worked out a temporary agreement which entailed shuffling the child between the two homes every other week, but Romain found that arrangement problematic. A source close to Romain told the Post, "This kid was bouncing back and forth. It can't work because [Scarlett] travels so much." Romain began thinking that his life was constantly revolving around Scarlett's hectic work commitments and his lawyer gave a statement to People magazine stating, "He believes that her schedule makes it impossible for her to have [primary] physical custody." Scarlett and Romain have both asked to keep this custody and divocre battle as civil as possible for their daughter, with the "Lucy" actress saying in a statement in March, "As a devoted mother and private person, and with complete awareness that my daughter will one day be old enough to read the news about herself, I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage. Out of respect for my desires as a parent and out of respect for all working moms, it is with kindness that I ask other parties involved and the media to do the same. Thank you." Good on both of them!
