Demi Lovato's bodyguard may have saved her life
New information has come to light following Demi Lovato's drug overdose last week. The singer, who had been sober for six years, was hospitalized last week (and remains so) after a reported heroin overdose. TMZ is now reporting that when Lovato's assistant found her, she thought she was dead. According to their source, when her bodyguard came into the house (knowing there was an emergency on-site), the assistant was screaming, "She's dead, she's dead!" The bodyguard then rushed to the 25-year-old's side, where they allegedly found blood on her pillow (a sign of hemorrhaging), no signs of breathing, and vomit. Her airways may have been blocked and the bodyguard began administering first aid, crucially propping her up, attempting to clear her airway, which allowed her to breathe. As previously reported, when paramedics arrived on site, they administered Narcan, which is used to reverse the effect of an opioid overdose. Since then, Lovato has been in the hospital, and said to be experiencing vomiting and fevers. She is now reportedly open to checking back into rehab after she is discharged.

Kim Kardashian West opens up about Khloe Kardashian's delivery
Kim Kardashian West opened up about Khloe Kardashian's relationship with Tristan Thompson to Ryan Seacrest during an interview on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" on Aug. 2. Seacrest asked Kim about the tough conversations she no doubt had with her younger sister in the first days of motherhood as she struggled with the revelation that her baby daddy had been cheating on her. "We definitely all had that conversation and honestly I don't want to give too much away because we genuinely had those conversations," Kim shared. "And sometimes we were filming and sometimes we weren't and it was more maybe when Khloe wanted her privacy and no cameras when she was in Cleveland going through that, [but] the sisters were still all filming and talking [about] how to approach it and what to do," she continued. "It was definitely new territory for us when you have a new baby coming into the world. I think ultimately we always want her to be happy, but it gets all clouded when there's a baby and, you know? Her motherly instincts kicked in and she has to do what makes her happy so we'll support that." The mom of three also recalled the drama of getting to the "Revenge Body" star, once she went into labor. "There was a moment where we were all flying to Cleveland when she went into labor and we were filming and [Kris] didn't want anyone to know she was in labor," the KKW Beauty founder explained. "So my mom just left and got on a plane and then Khloe called us. We were with a bunch of other people in this live interview that she didn't want to know. So she goes and gets on a plane and then me and my other sisters get on another plane and we were like, 'This is so stupid! We all need to be together and go through this!' And it was like so much drama getting there."

J.Lo supported Cardi B during her pregnancy
During her pregnancy, new mom Cardi B had help from a dream fairy godmother: Jennifer Lopez! While the two musicians filmed their music video, "Dinero," Lopez provided support — not advice — for the first time mom. "She was preggies," J.Lo told Music Choice of Cardi. "I was just like, 'Are you good? Do you want to sit down?' That's what new moms need — they need a little pampering . . . Take care of them. No advice." Lopez, mom to twins Max and Emme, wished people had treated her like that during her pregnancy. "When I was pregnant and everybody was like this and that, I was like, 'Please just stop telling me all these things,'" she begged.
Pippa Middleton hits the pool during pregnancy
Pregnant Pippa Middleton revealed that she is keeping fit by swimming through her pregnancy! In her latest column for Waitrose, Kate Middleton's sister shared her love for the water. "It has been the most enjoyable and rewarding form of exercise since I found out I was expecting. It's comforting to know that it's safe throughout pregnancy, and you don't need to adapt and change too much (unlike most other sports). It's so good for you that you could swim every day — as long as you don't overexert yourself — right up until the end of the third trimester," she wrote, adding that in the hot summer it's an added value that this sport keeps you cool. "As with other forms of exercise it boosts oxygen levels and strengthens the heart, enabling you to get more nutrients to your unborn child to help them grow. It's also one of the most therapeutic ways to work out, particularly when you become less mobile, and it helps prevent your shoulders rounding forwards — a common symptom as your belly expands. It can also offset the tendency for your pelvis to be out of alignment." Middleton is expecting her first child later this year with husband James Matthews.
LuAnn de Lesseps checks out of rehab, plans to return to the stage
After three weeks in rehab, LuAnn de Lesseps is out and preparing to hit the stage with her cabaret act. The "Real Housewives of New York" star entered rehab on July 16, forcing her to miss the show's reunion. Bethenny Frankel, her co-star, explained the decision at the time, saying, "This weekend, Luann was surrounded by her girlfriends and decided – with their support – that in light of recent circumstances, it is the healthiest choice for her not to attend Tuesday's reunion taping so that she can continue in her healing process." This was her second trip to rehab in the last year, as the former Countess sought treatment after being arrested in Florida on Christmas Eve 2017. Last weekend, she announced her intent to leave rehab, posting on Instagram, "Thank you so much for all of your support. I wanted you to know I'm doing great, & I hope you'll come and see me on Aug 4th in Long Island @theparamountny or Aug 24th in Atlantic City @borgataac Looking forward to being back on stage!!!"
Kourtney Kardashian laughs off claims she doesn't want to be a Kardashian anymore
With the premiere of the 15th season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" approaching on Sunday, Aug. 5, the show is already promising plenty of drama between the sisters, often with Kourtney Kardashian as the target. In one particular scene, Kim Kardashian West chats with Khloe Kardashian about their oldest sister and Kim says, "She just doesn't want to be a Kardashian anymore!" However Scott Disick's ex is just laughing these comments off, telling E! News, "I'm definitely proud to be a Kardashian. I was watching that moment and I was like, 'Are they talking about me?!'" She continued to explain one sister, Kendall Jenner, always supports her. "We're just like really best friends," the 39-year-old said. "We're on the same wavelength. Like we like the same stuff, we like to do the same stuff. We have good conversations, we have fun together, there's no drama with us. Kendall has my back in this season, you'll see. When I was watching some cuts, I see my sisters talking about me and I obviously have no idea because I wasn't there and I'm like, 'What?! They're saying this about me?' And then Kendall has my back."
Britney Spears loves bargain shopping
Britney Spears isn't letting her $56 million fortune keep her from the bargain bin. In documents filed in the popstar's conservatorship, obtained by The Blast, which detail her earnings and spendings, her surprising shopping habits are revealed. Spears, who is worth $817,000 more this year than last, is said to frequent TJ Maxx, Old Navy, Target, Dillard's and Macy's. For her sons, Sean and Jayden, she shops at Dick's Sporting Goods, Kids Foot Locker, Big 5 Sporting Goods, Nike, Adidas and Rip Curl — all pretty reasonable places for a multi-millionaire to shop. As for her other major purchases in the last year? Fixing the AC twice and, something few of us can relate to: fixing her mansion's elevator.
Madonna explains why she left the U.S.
Madonna is opening up about her decision to move her family from the U.S. in a new interview with Italian Vogue. "I felt like we needed a change, and I wanted to get out of America for a minute — as you know, this is not America's finest hour," the icon, who is now living in Portugal, explained. "Not that leaving America makes anything different or changes anything. I've lived in other places; I lived in London for 10 years. I like to put myself in uncomfortable situations and take risks." But to be fair, Madonna admitted that sports also played a factor in her decision to move to Europe, explaining that her son David is eager to play professional soccer. "I've been desperate to get him into the best academies with the best coaches, but the level of football in America is much lower than the rest of the world," she said. "I saw his frustration, and I also felt it was a good time."
