Gwen Stefani on what makes Blake Shelton the Sexiest Man Alive
When Blake Shelton's Sexiest Man Alive cover came out in People magazine, it set off a buzz around whether "The Voice" star should be honored with the title. For Blake's girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, though, it was a no-brainer. Calling the response "total chaos," Gwen told Ellen DeGeneres this week, "It's a People magazine cover and people take it so seriously." She went on to explain why she thinks her man really is the sexiest guy on the planet. "If you think about it, what defines sexy? It really is so personal, you know what I mean?" she asked. "For me, it's just that big ol' heart and that sense of humor … he doesn't even like take himself seriously and he's such an incredible person and … that's sexy. To me, it is."

Beyonce shops at Target and the Internet loses its mind
"It's not everyday you see @Beyonce at target." That's how Twitter user MsTaylorOlivia alerted her followers about her unexpected brush with Queen Bey during a shopping trip in San Clemente, California, on Thursday, Dec. 7. Other users snapped similar photos that showed Beyonce perusing the toy and baby clothing aisles of Target with her mom, Tina Knowles, and daughter, Blue Ivy, by her side. It didn't long after the pics surfaced for Twitter users to lose their collective you-know-what over the sighting. In a round-up of tweets published by the Orange Country Register, users marveled at the fact that Bey even shops at Target, let alone that they could have ended up in the store alongside her. "Every time you walk into target just know beyonce knows the name of the store you are buying stuff in," wrote on member of the Beyhive. Tweeted another: "Wow Beyoncé was in Target. I would've been in an aisle passed out." A third Twitter user named Pierre figured he would have simply keeled over had Bey sauntered by her during a shopping trip: "They would've found my body laid out on aisle 7. #Beyonce #Target." Pierre, we feel you.

Lorde predicted predatory men would face 'a storm' in 2017
It turns out Lorde predicted a slew of high-profile men were going down for their misguided behavior in 2017. Way back in January, amid Women's March-fueled protests for gender equality and the inauguration of Donald Trump, the singer tweeted, "these old men in power have a storm coming, the likes of which they cannot comprehend." This week, she realized she had been right in terms of the dozens of men who have been forced to give up their positions of power and esteem due to allegations of sexual impropriety. "This came true i guess," Lorde tweeted, sharing her previous post. Us Weekly notes Lorde's recent tweet landed the same day Time announced it was naming "silence breakers" like Taylor Swift and Ashley Judd who came forward to discuss their experiences with sexual harassment and assault as the magazine's Person of the Year. "The people who have broken their silence on sexual assault and harassment span all races, all income classes, all occupations and virtually all corners of the globe," Time.com read. "Their collective anger has spurred immediate and shocking results. For their influence on 2017, they are TIME's Person of the Year."

Chris Brown faces backlash for giving his daughter a pet monkey
Chris Brown proved his prowess in irking would-be fans again this week when he shared a video that showed his daughter, Royalty, playing with the baby marmoset he got her as a pet. "Shameful. Wild animals are not your pets," wrote one angry commenter excerpted by the Daily Mail. "Let that baby be in the wild where it belongs. You ripped that baby from his mother for your own pleasure and entertainment. Buy her a stuffed animal instead." Another follower urged viewers to report the video in the hopes of having it taken down, while a third posted, "Nooo, monkeys are not pets this little one needs to be in the wild not in a nappy, it's not a doll." Although other negative reactions continued to pour in, slamming the singer as "disgusting," and worse, Breezy didn't respond. "This is animal abuse. Wild animals belong in the WILD," one of the more enraged comments read. "These poor animals are ripped away from their mother for temporary human pleasure. Please educate yourself and be a part of the solution, not the problem. #protectwildlife #animalabuse."
John Legend opens up about parenting with Chrissy Teigen
Ask John Legend what parenthood's been like his daughter, Luna, arrived last year and it's easy to see why he and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, took her on John's tour with them. As it turns out, John's one of the most attentive dads around. He's also got faith in the future for Luna — and the baby he and Chrissy are expecting next. "I want them [Luna and the baby on the way] to find what they're passionate about and commit to it," John told ET this week. "Whatever it is, I'll support them. I love when Luna plays around with the piano, and I love when she plays with her little toy microphone that my friend bought her for her birthday. I get excited when it looks like she's following in my footsteps. But she also is excited in the kitchen, when Chrissy is cooking and she has her own little play kitchen," he continued. "Who knows what she's going to do when she's older. Maybe she'll be an engineer, maybe she'll be a computer programmer, or maybe she'll be, anything, you know. I just want her to know that she can do anything." Asked what surprised him about parenting, John said he and his wife had to get used to one another's style when it came to guiding Luna through her first year. "I don't know if there were a lot of surprises. You're just really learning every day. Part of it is learning how to parent together, because even though Chrissy and I have been together for a long time, we haven't been parents together until the last year. I think you start to learn how to parent together and what kind of responsibilities you want to share and take on," he said. "Then it's really just fascinating watching the human mind develop and seeing what they pick it up and how quickly they pick it up. When they start walking, when they start crawling. How excited you are just when they start to turn over for the first time by themselves, all these little milestones that might seem silly to some people who don't have kids are really exciting for us. And I think just watching her grow has been the most exciting thing. And when you start to see a personality develop, it's just really cool."
Meghan Markle's dad would 'love to' give her away
Other than the joint statement issues by Meghan Markle's parents about her engagement to Prince Harry, the actress' dad has stayed quiet when it comes to his daughter's relationship with her royal fiance. The Daily Mirror caught up with Thomas Markle this week in Rosarita, Mexico, where a reporter asked if Thomas would be at the couple's wedding in May at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle to give away his daugter. "Yes. I'd love to," Thomas said. "I'm very pleased. I'm delighted," He then cut off the conversation out of obligation, telling the paper, "I'm sorry. You know I can't talk." Thomas' ex-wife, Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, has been fending off so much press she recently had a security guard hand out fliers from Kensington Palace alerting reporters she wouldn't be discussing the marriage. In the statement they issued after Harry and Meghan announced their engagement, Doria and Thomas said, "We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together."
Khloe Kardashian shares some first date tips
Got first-date jitters? Khloe Kardashian has your back. In a new post on her app, the mom-to-be shares some pointers on making it through the potentially awkward situation without leaving you ready to, as she puts it, "bail out of the bathroom window midway through." When the date begins, Khloe suggests "commenting on your surroundings (like the menu or décor— or if you live in LA, the hellish traffic getting there!) is always a solid icebreaker." Once the conversation gets rolling — or fails to do so — the reality star advises trying "some imaginative questions" like "what's on your bucket list?" to pull your date out of his or her shell. "Hopefully," she continues, "you've offered him a bite of your meal by now and maybe even offered to split the check. (I'm not 100 percent into that, but you do you!) Now, it's all about sealing the deal, honey. All talk should be geared towards making future plans. Keep slipping in those subtle hint-hints. Or, if you really like them, a flat-out invitation!" An easy second date can be landed by offering to take your new pal to a party you know is going to be fun or simply asking what his or her week ahead will be like. Whatever approach you use, Khloe adds, "I hope your night ends with a kiss!"

Sarah Paulson: She's just like us! Except for the part where her No. 1 group text chain features members like Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, Awkwafina and Rihanna. "I'm not going to lie, it is a very cool chain to be part of," Sarah told The Edit in the magazine's latest cover story (via Us Weekly). "We can go weeks without a chirp, then someone sends one message, and it's like – 'brp, brp, brp' – your phone just blows up for hours." Sarah revealed the group text she and her "Ocean's Eight" castmates had back in January, describing the folks on it — and in the movie — as "eight kickass women and we all really like each other," and telling ET "the things that are going on in this text chain, you would lose your mind. … There's a lot of gifts going on that are really pretty special."
Steve Harvey sued for alleged fraud
Did Steve Harvey stiff one of his fundraisers? Vincent Dimmock is suing the TV personality for allegedly failing to pay him the 12.5 percent commission he says he was was owed as part of their deal. According to TMZ, Vincent claims to have been hired to raise $20 million for ventures including the Steve and Marjorie Foundation. He says that after he turned over the first million, Steve wouldn't cough up the commission. Vincent also claims he had all $20 million accounted for in donation promises but he believed Steve never planned to pay him for his work in getting the cash. He also says Steve botched at least one investor meeting by talking smack about women, blaming Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry for financial advice that failed to reap him any benefits and dumping the blame for his "disastrous meeting with Donald Trump" on Barack Obama. Steve's agent, Todd Frank, however, says the allegations in the lawsuit sound "fake." "Steve is the most loyal guy in the world," Todd said. "I've never been stiffed on a commission from Steve Harvey in 21 years."
