Leave it to awards magnet and all-around excellent human, Dame Helen Mirren, to leverage her Instagram for COVID-19 relief in the most creative ways. Despite having admitted in interviews that she doesn't like how she looks sans makeup, Helen apparently sat up in bed on Tuesday, March 31, took a makeup-free selfie, bedhead, glasses and all, and posted it on Instagram. She then used the post as a quid pro quo, asking followers to return the favor by donating to the Intensive Care Society's COVID-specific outreach program. "in return for this pic of me literally first thing in the morning, please donate to the intensive care support at https://platform.nationalfundingscheme.org/COVID.ICS?charity=COVID.ICS#.XoNf4y9lCfA …thanks so much," she captioned the shot. The link takes users to an ICS fundraiser that supports the mental health and general daily wellbeing of intensive care workers currently on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this week, Helen offered her help amid the medical crisis by sharing a video of herself reciting, as she put it, "a poem for our governments and leaders, the good the bad and the ugly." It was from John Donne's "Meditation 17," which famously includes the lines, "no man is an island … / any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind," and "therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

Cody, who was first linked to the singer in October, sent a short and sweet tribute to his lady in honor of the milestone in his Instagram Story on Tuesday, March 31, according to ABC News Radio. The post showed a black and white photo of Miley — possibly wearing zit cream,?! — with the caption, "6 months with you is worth a lifetime with anybody else. I love you." As Miley focuses on her new "Bright Minded" Instagram Live series, Cody's getting ready to release his first book of poetry, "Prince Neptune," on April 7.

Kylie Jenner's cosmetics company working with Coty to manufacture hand sanitizer for use in hospitals
Now that Kylie Jenner's Kylie Skin and Kylie Cosmetics count beauty giant Coty, Inc., as a major stakeholder, Kylie has more flexibility to embark on massive projects like the one she and her mom slash manager Kris Jenner announced this week. According to Vulture, Kylie's company will soon make a large-scale hand sanitizer donation to hospitals in southern California, as medical staff across the country struggle to get adequate supplies of protective personal equipment (PPE) to protect their employees from COVID-19. The sanitizer donation, Kylie and Kris said, is "dedicated to first responders working to support our communities" amid the coronavirus pandemic. The announcement comes just days after Coty tweaked its manufacturing plans so it could use some facilities to produce hydro-alcoholic gel that would be used to support "medical and emergency services staff," plus the workers making the sanitizer. It seems Kylie's sanitizer is one of the products that Coty's facilities will produce. Estée Lauder, L'Oreal and LVMH are also reportedly now manufacturing hand sanitizer for similar purposes.

Angelina Jolie says son Maddox will return to college in South Korea 'as soon as things settle'
Like a lot of parents around the world this month, Angelina Jolie is enjoying some unexpected extra time at home with her college-aged son. Maddox Jolie-Pitt started school at South Korea's Yonsei University last fall but came home to Los Angeles ahead of schedule because of the coronavirus outbreak. Given her long-held post as a special envoy for the UN's refugee agency, Angelina has a unique perspective on meaning of schools shutting down globally, and she shared it this week with DongA Daily, South Korea's oldest news outlet. "My heart goes out to the people of Korea and everyone in the world who is suffering as a result … We are all part of the solutions that are needed" Angelina said. She pointed out that right now, "half of students worldwide" are out of school, and a lot of those kids "…depend on school to get one meal a day that can help them survive extreme poverty," while others "may be more vulnerable to abuse or domestic violence" while at home. Towards the end of the interview, the conversation shifted to Angelina and Brad Pitt's son, with the reporter asking why the star was "very supportive" of Maddox's decision to pursue college in South Korea. "I could not be happier about Mad's choice of university," she said. "It is of course closed at the moment because of the pandemic. But he's not transferring school, he'll be going back as soon as things settle. He's using the time to focus on his Korean and Russian studies." Asked for her impression of Korea so far, Angelina said: "I admire the way South Korea has become such a successful modern economy while also preserving the culture and values that have made it unique for centuries." Referencing the the rest of the family, which includes Angelina and Brad's kids Pax, 16, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11, she added: "We are all so happy as a family that we will have the opportunity to get to know South Korea even better through Maddox, and with him, during his studies."

Speaking to People, a source close to the family said the Sussexes still "adjusting to [social distancing], being cautious and safe," but Archie is "teething and is a happy baby." The source added: "I'm sure he is happy to be in the California sunshine." The couple acknow;pledged their big life change on Instagram earlier this week, urging followers to remember to stick together, "lift each other up" in these confusing times and find ways to be part of a solution for a healthier world.

Last week, Kim Kardashian West posted a rare photo of her whole immediate family on Instagram. Rarer still, was the fact that she was mostly, if not entirely makeup-free in the pic. Maybe she's getting to used to it. Because when the mother of four appeared on "The View" on Tuesday, March 31, she admitted it had been weeks since she bothered with her usual glam routine. "Today was the first day that I actually brushed my hair and put on some makeup!" she said, according to People. It sounds like she's making more meaningful use of that time, anyway. Kim told the hosts of the show she and husband Kanye West have been bonding at home with their kids, North, 6, Saint, 4, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 10 months. "We've been showing the kids all these 80s movies like 'Harry and the Hendersons' and things that they wouldn't have watched," she said. "I actually love that time. … It's so much fun. … I love all the family bonding stuff."

Melissa Rivers hasn't been able to watch "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" even though it was based in part on her mother, Joan Rivers' career. Melissa stopped by the "Hollywood Raw" podcast recently, where she admitted the "particular reason" she's never watched the show. "I know it's based on my mom and Phyllis Diller, a lot of these different women," she said, according to Page Six. "It was still so soon after my mom's death and so raw to me. I would have loved more than anything an email just saying, 'Hey, your mom was one of the inspirations for this. We hope you love watching the show.' " Instead, Melissa said, she "never heard a single word from anyone" who was working on the award-winning series. "I guess 'hurtful' is the word — that they never even just said [anything]," Melissa mused. Still after Jane Lynch won an Emmy for her turn on the show, Melissa said she sent her flowers and a note — "because she actually acknowledged my mom."
