Join Wonderwall.com as we take a look at all the new celebrity couples who made their debuts in 2020, starting with this gorgeous pairing… They're our favorite quarantine couple: Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas! In early March, People magazine and other outlets confirmed that Ben and Ana — who spent the fall and winter of 2019 shooting the upcoming thriller "Deep Water" together — were romantically involved. The news came after the pair were spotted visiting museums and restaurants in Ana's hometown of Havana, Cuba, and nuzzling on a beach during a Costa Rica vacation. Early in the pandemic, the duo were spotted frequently on walks with their dogs, and soon, Ana was even seen with Ben's three kids with ex Jennifer Garner. A new couple that surprised us this year? Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, whose romance emerged in May. E! News reported the couple got close on the set of "Midnight in the Switchgrass." An Us Weekly insider shared, "They started off as friends and their relationship grew from there." They starred together in the music video for his song "Bloody Valentine" later in May and in June went Instagram official with MGK posting a mirror snap of the two (seen here). In July, the couple appeared on Lala Kent and Randall Emmett's podcast "Give Them Lala … With Randall" and opened up about their relationship. Megan — who quietly split from husband Brian Austin Green before moving on with the music star — said it was love at first sight for her, explaining, "The second that I was in a room with him … I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame." For MGK's part, he shared that every day he was on set, he waited outside on the steps of his trailer "just to catch one glimpse of eye contact" with Megan. "I would just sit there and, like, hope," he said. They made their red carpet debut at the 2020 American Music Awards in November.

Days after "Dancing With the Stars" pro Sharna Burgess told Us Weekly she was seeing someone new, she was photographed boarding a flight to a tropical locale with "Beverly Hills, 90201" alum Brian Austin Green on Christmas Day. A source later told People magazine that the actor "has been seeing Sharna for a few weeks" and that the pair were "casually dating and having a good time."

Nearly four years after his split from Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt publicly moved on with a new woman. In August, he was photographed with German model Nicole Poturalski, who at 27 is 29 years his junior, heading to the South of France for a romantic getaway at his Chateau Miraval estate. An onlooker told OK! magazine that the pair acted like "loved up teenagers" and "were kissing" on the tarmac. As for when they started seeing each other? MailOnline uncovered photos showing Nicole seated next to Brad in a VIP box during a performance of Kanye West's "Nebuchadnezzar" opera at the Hollywood Bowl back in November 2019, and other reports later claimed they met in the summer of 2019 at a restaurant owned by Nicole's husband — restaurateur Roland Mary, with whom she shares a 7-year-old son and, according to a MailOnline source, an "open marriage" — when Brad was in Germany to promote his movie "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." By late October, however, they'd called it quits. "Brad and Nicole have been over for a while now. They had a short-lived relationship that was never too serious," said an Us Weekly source.

Rachel Bilson and Bill Hader publicly confirmed their romance when they walked the red carpet together at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 5. The "Barry" actor and the "The O.C." actress were all smiles as they posed for photos after first being seen grabbing coffee together in Bill's hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, in December 2019. The duo co-starred in the 2013 rom-com "The To Do List," which was directed by Bill's then-wife, filmmaker Maggie Carey, from whom he split in 2018. However, it wasn't meant to be: By July, Bill and Rachel had called it quits.
Reba McEntire started dating again in 2020. The country legend has been seeing "CSI: Miami" star Rex Linn since at least January. She opened up about her new squeeze on her "Living and Learning" podcast later in the year, describing Rex as "special" and calling him "a very, very sweetheart of a guy." Rex also made the relationship known on social media, sharing a picture of the two looking cozy on a date night on Instagram back in January. In November, the couple made their red carpet debut at the 54th Annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville.
People magazine reported on Nov. 30 that, according to a source, Rihanna is dating music star A$AP Rocky, a longtime friend with whom she's been quite flirty in recent months. The superstar was spotted having dinner with the rapper in New York City in late November and in early December, they were photographed strolling the streets of Manhattan together. Rihanna's split from billionaire businessman Hassan Jameel after three years of dating was made public in January.
In July, Halle Berry hinted there was a new man in her life when she posted a photo of her feet alongside a pair of male feet. In September, she confirmed that the owner of those feet is singer-songwriter Van Hunt: She shared a photo of herself wearing a Van Hunt T-shirt that she captioned, "Now ya know." Tellingly, she added two emojis to her post: a simple heart emoji and a foot emoji. The musician posted a photo on Instagram of the Oscar winner kissing him on the cheek. People magazine later reported that, according to a source, the pair had been dating for "several months" and their relationship seemed "pretty serious." They were still going strong at the end of the year.
In January, it was confirmed that Liam Hemsworth was dating model Gabriella Brooks after the Aussies were spotted enjoying each other's company on the beach — and kissing — in Byron Bay, Australia. The pair were previously seen spending time with Liam's family in December 2019. In March, a source told Us Weekly that the actor "feels more at home" with his new girlfriend than he did with ex-wife Miley Cyrus and "feels like he can be his complete self without any drama." Added the source: "It's comfortable and easy. … Liam's family really likes Gabriella for him. She understands Liam's values as well as his family's, which is something that's very important to him and them." As the year went on, she was also by his side for brother Luke's birthday party in November.
Katie Holmes went public with her new boyfriend, Emilio Vitolo, in September. The star's new man is a chef who's eight years her junior and a big fan of PDA with the previously private actress. Shortly after they were spotted together, DailyMail.com revealed that Emilio was allegedly in a two-year relationship with another woman when he started seeing Katie. The chef reportedly dumped his live-in fiancée, 24-year-old Rachel Emmons, via text after learning photos of him and Katie were set to hit the internet. Despite the rocky start, the couple seemed unfazed and continued to be inseparable.
Adam Lambert first debuted his new beau, Oliver Gliese, with some serious PDA on the beach in Tulum, Mexico, on Nov. 17. Oliver works for Global Fashion Agenda, an organization that promotes industry collaboration on sustainability in fashion. It's unclear when the new couple first linked up.
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice moved on from ex-husband Joe Giudice in the fall. On Nov. 9, Page Six reported that she had a new boyfriend: New Jersey-based businessman and father-of-two Luis "Louie" Ruelas. Teresa later confirmed the romance on "Watch What Happens Live" but said she was taking it slow. But by the end of the year, things were clearly serious: Teresa made her relationship with Louie Instagram official on Dec. 22. "The BEST thing that came out of 2020," she captioned a photo of herself and her beau cuddled up at a restaurant.
After Shia LaBeouf and Margaret Qualley stripped down in the steamy music video for her sister Rainsford's song "Love Me Like You Hate Me," which debuted on Vimeo in late October, fans flocked to Deux Moi — an Instagram account dedicated to celebrity gossip — to submit sightings of the pair together. Several anonymous sources alleged that the "Transformers" alum and the "Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood" actress started dating over the summer. (Earlier this year, Shia seemingly reconciled with his ex-wife, Mia Goth, though they haven't been seen together since the spring.) By December, the rumors were confirmed: Shia and Margaret were snapped making out at LAX Airport on Dec. 19 (see photos here) and on Dec. 22, they were photographed kissing again during a hike in Pasadena (see those pics here). The romance made headlines as it was confirmed days after Shia's ex-girlfriend FKA twigs filed a lawsuit accusing him of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. The lawsuit prompted more of his former romantic partners — including singer-songwriter Sia and wardrobe stylist Karolyn Pho — to level similar accusations against him.
"The Bachelorette" season 16 star Clare Crawley and contestant Dale Moss not only fell for one another on the 16th season of the ABC reality show, which was filmed over the summer, but got engaged just two weeks into filming. Their engagement aired on Nov. 5. The couple then celebrated Thanksgiving together at the end of the month.
Scott Disick, 37, was first seen with 19-year-old Amelia Gray Hamlin at a Halloween party in Los Angeles, sparking romance rumors that seemed to be confirmed when they were spotted together in Montecito, California on Nov. 7. On Nov. 16, the age-mismatched pair were also snapped looking cozy together on the beach in Santa Barbara, California, lending credence to the rumor that things between them were getting more serious. On Nov. 5, People magazine revealed that "Dallas" actor Patrick Duffy is dating "Happy Days" actress Linda Purl. "I'm in an incredibly happy relationship," he said. "I never thought for a minute this would happen again. I never thought I'd feel this way again." (Patrick lost his wife of more than four decades, ballerina Carlyn Rosser, to cancer in 2017.) During the coronavirus pandemic, Patrick and Linda — who were friendly early in their careers — reconnected in a group chat with mutual friends. Eventually, they started talking to just each other. "I loaded up my car and drove 20 hours and ended up on her doorstep just to see if it was real. We haven't been apart since," he said. "I feel, quite honestly, that it is keeping with the desires of my wife, the fact that we are intended to be happy. So when it's offered, think about it, do whatever you do, but don't let it pass you up if it's the right thing."
Starting in mid-November, there were been persistent rumors claiming that Selena Gomez was dating basketball star Jimmy Butler. An anonymous witness told Deux Moi — an Instagram account dedicated to celebrity gossip — that the pair had dinner together at a New York City restaurant that "seemed like a date." (However, the spy pointed out that it was unclear if "it was ACTUALLY a date.") On Dec. 1, E! News reported that, according to a source, Selena and the Miami Heat player had actually hung out "a few times." Explained the insider, "[She's] keeping her options open but has been on a few dates with Jimmy and thinks he's a great guy. … Jimmy asked her to go to dinner and they had a great time. It's very casual and she's open to seeing where things go, but [she] isn't settling down just yet."
"Euphoria" co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Elordi first sparked romance rumors when they vacationed together in Greece in the summer of 2019, though Jacob insisted they were just friends at the time. However, rumors started swirling once again after they were seen roaming around New York City together — and were spotted kissing — in February 2020. "Jacob and Zendaya have been seeing each other for months now," a source told E! News in February. "They started as close friends but it became romantic after [the first season of] their show ended." Though they continued to look coupled up during outings on both coasts, their relationship eventually fizzled and Jacob was soon linked to another beauty…
Jacob Elordi moved on… to model Kaia Gerber. The couple were rumored to be an item starting in September after they were spotted walking around New York City together. Kaia, a source told E! News at the time, "doesn't want to be in an exclusive relationship right now" because "she has a lot of projects on her plate and wants her freedom." But within weeks, it appeared the two were inseparable as they continued to step out together on both coasts. Jacob even vacationed in Mexico with Kaia and her parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, in September. On Nov. 1, Kaia even made their relationship Instagram official.
Rebel Wilson made things red carpet official with her new beau, Jacob Busch, in September. The couple met in 2019 but their relationship really heated up while they got to know each other from a distance during coronavirus quarantine, reports revealed. Jacob is a descendent of an Anheuser-Busch beer-brewing company co-founder and previously dated former "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Adrienne Maloof.
Chrishell Stause is seeing a "Dancing With the Stars" pro — and, despite rumors to the contrary, it's not former partner Gleb Savchenko. Toward the end of season 29 in the fall, the "Selling Sunset" star found herself accused of getting too close to Gleb in the wake of his split from dancer Elena Samodanova, who alleged he'd been unfaithful. Chrishell insisted she and Gleb were only friends and on Dec. 3, she revealed she's been spending time with a different dancer on the ABC show: Keo Motsepe. Both posted Instagram pics and videos of themselves working out together and kissing. "Chrishell and Keo are officially dating," a source told "ET," adding, "Keo and Gleb are best friends… Chrishell and Keo are both awesome and felt like, 'I'm single, you're single. Let's try this.'" A second source told "ET," "Things have been heating up and they're very into each other, but it's not super serious."
"Entertainment Tonight" reported on Dec. 14 that "Dancing With the Stars" pro Gleb Savchenko and "Sharknado" franchise star Cassie Scerbo had been dating for a few weeks and were "having a lot of fun together," according to a source. The pair first sparked romance rumors when they were seen vacationing in Mexico with Gleb's colleague and pal Keo Motsepe and his new girlfriend, Chrishell Stause. (See a photo here.) Meanwhile, Gleb's estranged wife, Elena Samodanova, on Dec. 21, was photographed kissing former "DWTS" troupe member Vlad Kvartin — who teaches classes at the dance school Elena and Gleb own — on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. As viewers watched the end of his marriage unfold on Netflix's third season of "Selling Sunset" this summer, Justin Hartley was moving on with a new woman. He was first spotted by TMZ kissing actress Sofia Pernas in May, and it was soon revealed he had a history with the soap star. The two both previously appeared on "The Young and the Restless" — at the same time that Justin's ex-wife, Chrishell Stause, also starred on the show. In June, The Sun reported that the two women were actually friendly for years after co-starring on the daytime soap. People magazine revealed that same month that Justin and Sofia had been dating for "several weeks" and were very happy together.
On June 23, Us Weekly confirmed rumors that Jon Hamm was dating actress Anna Osceola, who appeared on the 2015 finale of "Mad Men" and later starred on "Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders." The duo have been seen together several times since 2017 (often playing tennis), though it was unclear at the time that they were anything more than friends. They continued to be spotted together throughout the year, like here in September buying snacks in Santa Monica.
On the May 10 episode of Ilana Levine's "Little Known Facts" podcast, Broadway star Noah Galvin revealed that he and Ben Platt are dating and were quarantining together amid the coronavirus pandemic. Fun fact about this new couple: Both men have starred in the title role in the Broadway production of "Dear Evan Hansen."
"This Is Us" star Chrissy Metz made things Instagram official with new beau Bradley Collins in 2020. The couple started dating in May after meeting in Nashville, where Chrissy spent most of her coronavirus quarantine before moving back to Los Angeles to shoot her hit show in August. In October, Chrissy shouted out Bradley on Instagram in honor of National Boyfriend Day, writing, "Happy #nationalboyfriendday to my dreamboat! Bradley, from the first moment I laid eyes on you I wanted and needed to know you."
Tiffany Haddish and Common announced their couple status in 2020. Tiffany fessed up to being in a relationship with the rapper-actor in July while appearing on Steve O's "Wild Ride!" podcast. She shared that the couple started dating after connecting on the set of 2019's "The Kitchen" and noted that this is her first time dating a celebrity. "This is hands down the best relationship I've ever been in," she told Steve-O. "I feel more confident in me, and it's not him that's doing it. … [I'm just] way happier, and it's knowing I got somebody that cares about me, that really has my back. It seems like he does, anyways. And I love it — I love him." For his part, while on "Live With Kelly and Ryan," Common also gushed about his new love, saying, "She's a wonderful woman — a queen — and just a beautiful person. I just care for her a lot, enjoy her, and I am grateful to have her in my life. So, yeah, I'm happy."
Michelle Williams and Thomas Kail made their new romance official on the red carpet at the 2020 Golden Globes on Jan. 5. The actress and the "Hamilton" director — who worked together on "Fosse/Verdon" in 2019 — first sparked romance rumors when they were photographed together in London, where Michelle was filming "Venom 2," in December 2019. On Dec. 30, People magazine reported that the four-time Academy Award nominee and the Tony Award-winning director were not only engaged but expecting their first child together, whom they welcomed in June. They also quietly tied the knot sometime in the spring.
People magazine reported in August that, according to a source, Trevor Noah and Minka Kelly were in "a very serious relationship" and were "very happy" together. The story was corroborated by another outlet, E! News, whose source said they've been seeing each other for "several months" and are now living together in New York City. Though it wasn't known exactly when the host and actress first linked up, an Us Weekly source claimed that their romance kicked off "well before quarantine started."
In late January, Us Weekly reported that Zac Efron was in a new relationship with former "Neighbors" co-star Halston Sage, to whom he was briefly romantically linked in 2014 (pictured). A source told Us that their romance began to blossom soon after his fling with Danish swimmer Sarah Bro came to an end in 2019. The same source reported that Zac and Halston were "in a serious relationship and in love" and spent quality time together over the 2019 holidays. By July it seemed the two were over, but don't feel bad for Zac. He rebounded quickly…
Zac Efron moved on Down Under! By September, he was linked to Vanessa Valladares, an Australian model and waitress. They reportedly met in June while Vanessa was working at the Byron Bay General Store & Cafe and their relationship heated up as Zac continued to live in Australia over the summer. In October, Vanessa even helped throw Zac's lavish birthday party!
Lady Gaga is no longer caught in a bad romance! The Grammy-winning pop star and her new boo, entrepreneur Michael Polansky, have been packing on the PDA since just before the start of 2020 — but he wasn't publicly identified until early February after he and Gaga took things more public during Super Bowl festivities. The music star and Michael — a Harvard grad who manages Facebook co-founder Sean Parker's business and philanthropic endeavors, including his Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy — made their romance Instagram official on Feb. 3. "We had so much fun in Miami. Love to all my little monsters and fans, you're the best!" Gaga captioned this adorable snapshot.
There's a new couple in "The Hills." On Nov. 16, Us Weekly broke the news that Audrina Patridge and Rod Stewart's son Sean Stewart are dating. Later in the month, Page Six also revealed that things between them are actually serious enough that he's set to appear alongside her on the next season of her reality show, "The Hills: New Beginnings."
On Dec. 17, People magazine revealed that "Glee" alum Chord Overstreet is dating Suzanne Somers' granddaughter, "The Bold and the Beautiful" actress Camelia Somers. It's unclear how long they've been an item, though Chord could be seen sitting next to Camelia at her birthday dinner in early October. (See a photo here.) Page Six later reported that the new couple quarantined together in Nashville over the summer.
On Nov. 21, Vanessa Hudgens shared a photo of herself dolled up while posing with a pink rose. "Date night," she wrote in the caption. The lucky man she was stepping out with? Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop and outfielder Cole Tucker, whom she was later seen holding hands with outside the Canyon Country Store in Los Angeles (see photos here). No word on exactly when the new duo started dating.
On Nov. 10, Russell Crowe was seen kissing much younger actress-turned-realtor Britney Theriot during a game of tennis in Sydney. The actor and the blonde beauty — who had a small role in his 2013 film "Broken City" — first sparked romance rumors in mid-October when they were photographed hugging during another game of tennis Down Under.
On Nov. 21, The Sun reported that Martin Freeman is dating French writer-actress Rachel Mariam, with whom he was first seen in June. A source told the outlet that the 49-year-old "The Hobbit" star and his 28-year-old girlfriend "both love the same films" and he "supports her acting and writing career." It's Martin's first public romance since his 2016 split from his partner of 16 years, Amanda Abbington, with whom he shares two children.
Ariana Grande kicked off 2020 with a new man by her side. The singer reportedly started dating Dalton Gomez in January, and by December, they were engaged. They met when Dalton, a realtor, was hired to help her find a new home. In February, they were spotted kissing at a bar. Ariana took things to the next level in May when Dalton had a cameo in her "Stuck With U" music video that debuted that month. In August, a source told Us Weekly that the relationship was "serious." "When she saw him, she immediately thought he was cute and very good looking, and she asked her team to set up an in-person meeting with him. Ariana fell very hard for Dalton shortly after they met," the source shared.
Deux Moi also broke the news on this alleged coupling… In mid-October, the Instagram account shared several anonymous tips alleging that Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers are an item. According to one tipster, they got together before the Packers quarterback and former love Danica Patrick announced in mid-July that they were no longer a couple. On July 15, sports blogger Terez Owens reported that, according to a source, the race car driver actually introduced the actress and the professional football player and was "devastated" by his "betrayal."
Following his split from Lily-Rose Depp, Timothée Chalamet was seen hooking up with a new actress in June. The actor was photographed kissing actress Eiza Gonzalez while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. (See photos here.) It's unclear when the 24-year-old Oscar nominee and the 30-year-old actress first linked up, but ultimately, their summer love proved to be just a fling. They were over by the fall.
Timothée who? Eiza Gonzalez's romance with model Dusty Lachowicz was made public after the pair were finally photographed together in the Los Angeles area on Nov. 8 following weeks of buzz claiming that they were dating.
Sophia Bush has a new boyfriend: Grant Hughes, who reportedly works as the chief strategy officer at the company FocusMotion Health. The new couple were snapped holding hands and grocery shopping together in Malibu in May.
Following a four-day marriage in 2019, actor Nicolas Cage moved on in 2020. Nic brought a new girlfriend to the Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, California, on Feb. 8. In early March, she was identified as Riko Shibata after they were spotted together again, this time walking around New York City. On March 5, the couple — Nic is reportedly 30 years her senior — made headlines after they were photographed taking a horse-drawn carriage ride around Central Park a week after they visited his unique pyramid tomb in New Orleans.
Sebastian Stan was snapped smooching Spanish actress Alejandra Onieva on a yacht off the coast of Ibiza on July 4. (See photos here.) It was the first indication that there was a new woman in his life. Three days later, the pair were seen holding hands during another outing in Ibiza, and they seemed to be going strong as the year ended. The "Avengers" star has romanced a number of famous ladies over the years: His former paramours include Leighton Meester, Dianna Agron, Jennifer Morrison and Margarita Levieva.
Several months after her spring split from retired NFL star Jay Cutler, former reality TV star Kristin Cavallari was romantically linked to comedian Jeff Dye in the fall. They were first seen together in Chicago — where they were caught kissing on camera — on Oct. 10. On Oct. 28, they were photographed on a date at a restaurant in Nashville. Then on Nov. 9, both popped up at the same restaurant in West Hollywood, though they left separately. An Us Weekly source claimed that their relationship isn't "going to go anywhere serious," adding, "Kristin and Jeff just have a casual dating situation going on. She's not in the zone to move forward with a full-blown relationship of that level and is just keeping herself preoccupied and having fun." However, the source didn't deny the Uncommon James designer and the funnyman were seeing each other.
On Jan. 20, Pamela Anderson and her longtime friend Jon Peters — whom she'd dated in the late '80s (pictured here) — got married in Malibu after reuniting earlier in the month. By early February, however, the former "Baywatch" star surprised fans when she released a statement announcing that the couple had gone their separate ways less than two weeks after they tied the knot. The former couple have since gone back and forth in the media about their split. Pam reportedly realized she'd "made a terrible mistake" after merely a day and a half of marriage and ended things with the Jon, whom she thought was "too controlling," though Jon has stated that it was his decision to end their brief marriage. In September, Pam set the record straight about her relationship on Twitter, tweeting: "[I] was never married to Jon Peters. It was just a bizarre lunch … no 'marriage' no 'divorce,'" she added that she and her "lifelong family friend" were "never legally married" and have "no hard feelings" toward each other. "[It was] just a bizarre theatrical lunch — [I have] a good sense of humor about it," she wrote. Pam has since moved on…
In September, news broke via Page Six that Pamela Anderson was dating her bodyguard of two years, Dan Hayhurst. Sources told the gossip column things turned romantic early in 2020. A source told People magazine that Dan's been with Pam through the entire coronavirus pandemic and also has been helping her "fix up her home on Vancouver Island."
"Duck Dynasty" star Bella Robertson, 18, started dating beau Jacob Mayo, 21, earlier this year, and within six months, the young couple was engaged. Bella announced the big news on Instagram on Nov. 27.
On Dec. 12, Jaime King was photographed holding hands with Mr. Checkpoint founder Sennett Devermont while running errands in the Los Angeles area (see a photo here). They've been seen together several more times since then. The model-actress first posted about Sennett on Instagram in early November, though it was unclear at the time that they were more than friends. Things between them are serious enough that in mid-November, Jaime shared a photo of Sennett snuggling one of her two sons with her estranged husband, Kyle Newman.
What reportedly started out as a fling seemed to turn into a real relationship between Ashley Benson and G-Eazy. People magazine first reported they were an item in May, with sources calling it "a fling" for Ashley while "getting over [her] breakup" from Cara Delevingne. But then the couple were continuously spotted together over the summer, and G-Eazy even served as Ashley's date to sister Shaylene Benson's super-small wedding in June. They were still going strong by the fall.

Soon, the two were jetsetting to Mexico for a vacation where they packed on the PDA.
In June, "Orange Is the New Black" star Taylor Schilling took to her Instagram Story to reveal she was dating artist Emily Ritz. Taylor re-posted a photo that Emily put up first in honor of Pride weekend. The sweet pic showed the women embracing. "I couldn't be more proud to be by your side," Emily scrawled across the image, adding a rainbow emoji and two beating-heart emojis to make it clear they're more than friends. According to Just Jared, Taylor and Emily "met through mutual friends and their relationship turned more romantic late last year."
On Jan. 8, Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden were seen holding hands while leaving a grocery store in London. The "Mary Queen of Scots" co-stars were first linked in late 2018 — when the film hit theaters — but they've publicly denied being a couple. "Noooo… Just no," Saoirse responded when The Telegraph asked about the status of their relationship in late 2019. In early 2018, the "Little Women" actress was also linked to Jack's brother, Calum Lowden.
Paris Hilton took a new romance with entrepreneur Carter Reum public in early 2020. It's the heiress-DJ's first big relationship since she split from fiancé Chris Zylka in 2018. She and Carter were were seen getting cozy at the annual Warner Bros. and InStyle Golden Globes afterparty on Jan. 5. According to People magazine, Carter, who's known for co-founding the liquor company VEEV Spirits with brother Courtney Reum, also happens to be a longtime friend of Paris's family. Later in January, a source told Us Weekly that the couple were already "very serious." They celebrated their one-year dating anniversary in the fall.
Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger has a new man in her life! The music star made her red carpet debut with Scottish rugby player Thom Evans at the Warner Bros. and InStyle Golden Globes afterparty on Jan. 5. News that the pair were dating first circulated in 2019 when Thom competed on the U.K.'s "The X Factor: Celebrity" edition, on which Nicole served as a judge. On Jan. 6, the "Buttons" singer took to Instagram to show off her new boo. By late 2020, they were still going strong.
On the Dec. 21 episode of the "Scrubbing In" podcast, Kaitlynn Carter revealed that her boyfriend of about seven months is Brock Collection designer Kristopher Brock. "He's a dream," she gushed. "It's the most seamless, chill relationship. I've never had a relationship that was just easy. … I feel like he's the first adult that I've ever dated."
E! News reported in April that John Mellencamp had moved on from ex Meg Ryan. It was revealed that month that the singer was dating celebrity skincare expert Nurse Jamie Sue Sherrill, and, according to a source, had been "since the beginning of the year." The same source shared a little insight into the relationship, noting: "They are really happy together. … They are both from the same small town in southern Indiana."
Less than a month after they first got tongues wagging with their cozy-looking late-September dinner date in New York City's West Village (see photos here), Chris Rock and Carmen Ejogo stepped out together again — this time in Malibu. On Oct. 17, the bicoastal duo were seen riding together in the actor's Ferrari before grabbing a low-key lunch in matching ensembles, seemingly confirming they're an item.
Post Malone had a new lady love in 2020! On Aug. 10, Korean rapper-artist MeLoveMeAlot, who's never publicly revealed her real name, seemingly confirmed recent rumors that she and the American music star were an item when she captioned a slideshow of photos and videos of them together, "All I want is him to be happy and I like to be in love."
"Outer Banks" stars Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline made their relationship Instagram official in June, with Chase posting a slideshow of photos from a romantic beach picnic with his co-star. Jonathan Daviss, who also appears on the cult Netflix series, commented on the photos, "Well it's about time." The couple did an Instagram Live together a few days later and talked about his big reveal, with Chase explaining he conferred with his mom before sharing the photos with the world. "I was like, 'I think I'm gonna post it,'" he recalled. "She was like, 'Really? You understand what happens when you do that?' And I'm like, 'Yeah. I do, Mom. Sure do.' Then I texted Maddie and I said, 'What do you think?' And she said, 'I don't care.'" The actress shared her opinion of the public display, calling it a perfect example of "modern romance."
Though they technically got together last summer, country legend Tanya Tucker didn't debut her new beau until January 2020 when she walked the red carpet with him at the Grammys. The singer told People magazine the same month that she and singer-songwriter Craig Dillingham met as teenagers and previously dated briefly in the '90s and in 2008. "I didn't love him that way [before], and now I do. I love him, and I know it, and I have no doubt about it," said Tanya, adding that Craig has told her, "I think God's put us back together for a reason." Niall Horan confirmed his rumored romance with Amelia Woolley when they were snapped looking cozy together during dinner at a restaurant in London on Aug. 4. He and the designer shoe buyer reportedly started dating in June.
On Valentine's Day, troubled former actress Amanda Bynes took to Instagram to reveal not only that there was a new mystery man in her life — who was soon identified as Paul Michael — but that they had recently gotten engaged. Despite reports claiming the pair — who reportedly met either in rehab, AA or a halfway house and started dating in late 2019 — broke up weeks later, both insisted in March that everything was fine. Reports have claimed that it's unlikely they'll ever actually tie the knot because Amanda's mother, who serves as her conservator, won't consent to the marriage because she doesn't think it's in her daughter's best interest. They were still together in December.
Demi Lovato also had an epic whirlwind romance in 2020. In late March, the singer-actress first stepped out with actor Max Ehrich. By mid-July, they'd gotten engaged. It wasn't meant to be, though: In late September, multiple media outlets reported that Demi dumped Max once she realized his "intentions weren't genuine."
The Daily Mail reported in March that Anya Taylor-Joy was dating photographer Ben "Pip" Seed, who was caught on camera pecking her on the cheek that month. For his part, Ben seemingly confirmed things when he took to Instagram on Valentine's Day to share a stunning portrait of the "Queen's Gambit" star.
In late September, Page Six broke the news that Darius Rucker started dating comedian Kate Quigley after announcing his split from his wife of 20 years, Beth, in July.

On Sept. 3, Charles Dance debuted his relationship with Alessandra Masi: The 73-year-old "Game of Thrones" alum and the 53-year-old Italian film producer were snapped kissing in the ocean off the coast of Venice, Italy, while in town for the 2020 Venice International Film Festival. On Oct. 26, Page Six broke the news that Uma Thurman has been dating architect Peter Sabbeth since they met on the beach in New York's Sag Harbor over the summer.
On July 3, Rose McGowan took to Instagram to reveal that she fell in love after moving to Mexico earlier this year. "So this happened in Mexico," she captioned a selfie with her new boyfriend, a relatively anonymous 41-year-old man named Ivan. In October, she gushed to "Extra" that her beau is "a beautiful human, a good man and age-appropriate." She also revealed that they live together.
"Chicago Med" star Torrey DeVitto finally confirmed the identity of her new man in October when she shared a sweet black-and-white selfie on Instagram with long-rumored beau Will Estes. The actor confirmed the romance too by posting his own photo with Torrey on social media the same day. Fans weren't surprised — Torrey had been posting mysterious photos with her new squeeze since June without naming him (and he was always covered up with a mask!).
On Oct. 24, Cole Sprouse was snapped packing on the PDA with Instagram model Reina Silva during an outing in Vancouver. (See photos here.) It's unclear when the duo started spending time together, though the actor-photographer — who split from "Riverdale" co-star Lili Reinhart earlier this year — took to Instagram on Oct. 10 to share a snap of the brunette beauty posing as part of his "new portfolio work."
Camila Mendes and photographer Grayson Vaughan started stepping out together in June. On Sept. 3, the "Riverdale" actress took to Instagram to confirm their rumored romance.
"Pitch Perfect" star Anna Camp debuted a new beau in March — Michael Johnson, a former drummer of New Beat Fund. She shared a photo with him in Joshua Tree that month, captioning it, "In the middle of nowhere with no one I'd rather be with." By August things were looking even more serious as the couple decided to adopt a dog together.
Anna Camp's ex-husband also moved on this year. Skylar Astin was linked to Lisa Stelly (who was previously married to Jack Osbourne) in June after Lisa shared a photo of the couple looking cozy on Instagram. For his part, Skylar posted the sweet swimming pool selfie seen here and stood up for his new lady when Us Weekly referred to her as "Jack Osbourne's ex-wife," tweeting, "Correction: I am dating FOUNDER, ENTREPRENEUR, MOTHER, CCO, etc, Lisa Stelly. Treat your ladies better, media!" Lisa is the brains behind the confectionary product company Fancy Sprinkles.
"Fast & Furious" franchise star Jordana Brewster was snapped kissing a mystery man — whom DailyMail.com later identified as investment CEO Mason Morfit — on the beach in Malibu on July 11. Just 10 days earlier, the actress had filed to divorce her husband of 13 years, film producer Andrew Form. As the year wound down, the new couple seem to be going strong — they're spotted here grabbing groceries together in November.
Solange Knowles has a new man in her life. She posted a selfie with Gio Escobar on Instagram on Nov. 23 and following that move, Page reported that, according to a source, the singer is "happily booed up" with the jazz composer. "She's super happy and they're a happy couple. They're very cute together," a source shared. Solange split from her husband of five years, music video director Alan Ferguson, in late 2019.
"The Originals" star Phoebe Tonkin opened up about her new man in June. The actress revealed she's dating Phantom Planet singer Alex Greenwald (who was previously engaged to actress Brie Larson). She posted a photo of herself and the musician smooching while wearing masks, marking the first confirmation of their couple status.
On June 22, Lil Wayne took to Instagram to confirm recent rumors that he and model Denise Bidot were an item, posting a photo of her making a kissy face while taking a dip in a swimming pool. Denise then shared the rapper's post on her Instagram Story. "In case anyone was still wondering who bae was … [Lil Wayne] got my heart [and] we ain't apologizing for our love," she wrote, tagging his Instagram account. The two went on to briefly split in November amid political differences after Wayne came out in support of President Donald Trump, but reunited shortly after.
Australian singer-songwriter Cody Simpson moved on with model Marloes Stevens in the fall following his summer split from Miley Cyrus. He and Marloes were first seen together in Los Angeles on Halloween and on Nov. 4, they were seen holding hands outside a restaurant in Malibu.
Meghan King opened up about her relationship with her new boyfriend, Christian Schauf, in June on her blog. The former "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star shared that they met on a dating app and "did the whole 'quarantine dating' thing with lots of FaceTiming." She admitted she didn't have much faith in the relationship because Christian lives in Utah and she's based in St. Louis and Southern California, but that the couple are doing great and she's "up to [her] eyeballs in happiness." Unfortunately, things didn't last long. They announced their split in November.
Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman's daughter, actress Maya Hawke, started dating a fellow actor this year. The "Stranger Things" star and actor Tom Sturridge, who shares a daughter with ex Sienna Miller, confirmed a romance when they were photographed kissing in New York City in August. (See photos here.) They were first linked in late July when they were seen together in the Hamptons.
Mischa Barton debuted her relationship with photographer Gian Marco Flamini in early September: The duo were snapped packing on the PDA during a stroll through a Los Angeles park.
In March, it was revealed by Us Weekly that E! personality Morgan Stewart was seeing musician Jordan McGraw — Dr. Phil McGraw's son. At that point, the source told E! that the couple had been dating "for months" and were "so happy together." The duo reportedly saw each other when they were younger, but after reconnecting, things got serious fast. The "Daily Pop" host eventually confirmed her romance with the singer on Instagram Live, saying that they'd been dating for about three months. "We dated 10 years ago for a year and then he broke up with me," she said, adding that they got back together because "he was persistent." In August, the couple announced they were expecting a baby girl together. They tied the knot in December.
This one isn't a huge shock! In May, former "The Bachelor" star Peter Weber confirmed he was dating a former contestant on his season — Kelley Flanagan. The two quarantined together in Chicago at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, sparking rumors of their couple status. They continued to heat up over the summer, celebrating Peter's birthday together in August.
Tom Holland made his rumored romance with Nadia Parkes Instagram official in July… sort of. The actor shared a photo of the actress, sans-caption, essentially confirming their relationship that had been much speculated about for months. In late May, MailOnline was the first outlet to report that the pair were "in an official relationship and living together."
Gabourey Sidibe went public with her new relationship, which began in 2019, in January 2020, letting fans know via social media that she was dating Brandon Frankel, a marketing expert who works for Cameo. On Valentine's Day, Gabourey took to Instagram to proclaim, "My Valentine is a dork and I couldn't be happier to have him. He makes this dumb holiday a little less dumb by filling it with [love]." The pair announced their engagement in November.
Young love! In mid-January, multiple outlets reported that "Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown was in a new relationship with Joseph Robinson, the son of British rugby superstar Jason Robinson. The teenage couple made their relationship official when Joseph posted a cuddled-up mirror selfie (seen here) with Millie on Snapchat. "Ly x," he captioned it. The actress was also spotted vacationing with Joseph and his family in the Maldives back in November 2019. Ultimately, it wasn't meant to be: By August, the young couple had called it quits.
Romance has never looked so edgy! FKA Twigs and The 1975 frontman Matty Healy — who split from Liam Hemsworth's new flame, Gabriella Brooks, in 2019 — went public with their relationship in early 2020. The duo were seen cozying up after the NME Awards in London on Feb. 12. The "Somebody Else" singer-songwriter took to Instagram to share a picture of the "Cellophane" songstress sitting on his lap with her arm draped around his neck. "Thank you NME for the awards and the chaos," Matty captioned the pic. The pair were also spotted at RuPaul's DragCon UK 2020 in mid-January.
In January, it emerged that Avril Lavigne was dating Jagwar Twin musician Pete Jonas. The two fueled romance rumors when they attended and posed for photos together at Clive Davis's annual pre-Grammy party on Jan. 25. E! News also reported that the pair were seen holding hands and embracing inside the gala. Avril was spotted with Pete in November 2019 just before news broke that she and billionaire Phillip Sarofim had called it quits.
Angela Simmons revealed her romance with boxing champ Daniel Jacobs in August. "TKO," the "Growing Up Hip Hop" star captioned an Instagram slideshow of photos of herself and her new beau en route to a wedding. Daniel also made their relationship public that same day, sharing his own shot with Angela on social media, captioning it, "Wedding vibes tonight with her."
On Feb. 3, "Riverdale" star KJ Apa got fans buzzing when he posted a pic on Instagram of himself and an unknown woman kissing along with the caption "coup de foudre" — which is French for "love at first sight." The mystery woman confirmed her identity — it's model Clara Berry — when she posted an Instagram pic of her own on Feb. 7 that showed her and KJ cuddling in a pool in Bali. She went for a similar approach with her caption, "J'irai chercher ton cœur si tu l'emportes ailleurs," which is French for "I'll search for your heart if you take it somewhere else," according to Vogue Australia.
Noah Centineo and Stassie Karanikolaou finally confirmed rumors they're a couple when they were snapped holding hands outside a Halloween party in Los Angeles. Earlier in the month, there were rumors that the pair, who were first linked in June, secretly eloped in Las Vegas.
On Sept. 21, 17-year-old "Counting On" star Justin Duggar announced that he and Claire Spivey were officially "in a courtship." Just two months later, the young reality star shared that he and the 19-year-old were engaged.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro revealed on Instagram on Oct. 27 that there's a new woman in his life: eyelash technician Saffire Matos. "BearCations!!!!" he captioned a photo of himself kissing his new girlfriend on a yacht off the coast of Puerto Rico.
In January, The Sun reported that Mark Ronson and "Harry Potter" actress Genevieve Gaunt had been secretly dating for months. "Mark is really into Genevieve but he's aware of the spotlight so they have kept the relationship low-key so far. But now they are really close and he has told his wider circle of friends how much she means to him," a source told the outlet. "Mark's schedule has been a bit easier in the last few months so they've had time to enjoy each other's company and take a trip together. They both seem really happy."
"The Bachelor" season 24 runner-up Madison Prewett started dating Denver Nuggets power forward Michael Porter Jr. sometime in late 2020. (His sister, Bri Porter, revealed the news on Instagram on Oct. 10.)
JoJo Siwa took to TikTok to announce her new relationship in early August. The young star revealed that she was dating Mark Bontempo, the younger brother of influencer Madison Bontempo. "Meet Mark," the "Dance Moms" alum captioned a video of herself and her beau dancing while wearing each other's clothes. Unfortunately, the relationship was short-lived. By mid-November JoJo announced that it was over. Replying to a fan who had some unkind things to say about Mark in the wake of the split, the star wrote, "Mark doesn't deserve hateful things like this. He deserves to have people support him. You have NO idea about [our] relationship. How much fun it was. How happy we both were, and how happy we both are. We decided it's best for us to not be in a relationship…. that's all. [We're] still friends, I still have his back and he has mine." In a Nov. 15 YouTube video, Mark's sister, Madison, also weighed in, saying that career obligations and distance played roles in the breakup.
Following his summer split from season 14 "The Bachelorette" star Becca Kufrin, Garrett Yrigoyen revealed on Instagram on Oct. 31 that he had a new girlfriend: yoga instructor Alex Farrar. "Happy Halloween. Picked up a special pumpkin at the patch," he captioned a slideshow of photos of himself with the blonde beauty.
On Sept. 26, Jordyn Woods took to Instagram to confirm rumors that she and professional basketball player Karl-Anthony Towns are an item. The duo made their official debut at the launch party for her PrettyLittleThing collection in mid-October.
Australian model Tina Louise started the summer linked to Brian Austin Green, but by October, she was involved in a new romance: She was spotted kissing Sean "Diddy" Combs on the beach in Malibu.
Simone Biles confirmed rumors that she and professional football player Jonathan Owens were a couple in August. To make things official, the gymnast posted a slideshow of photos of herself and the athlete on Instagram, writing in the caption, "It's just us." Fans weren't shocked at the post, as earlier in the summer, Simone had posted Jonathan to her Instagram stories quite a few times.
In a YouTube video posted on Nov. 30, Tik Tok stars and longtime pals Bryce Hall and Addison Rae revealed they're "dating officially" after taking their relationship to the next level in mid-October. The social media star also revealed that she and the TikTok star previously dated for three days earlier this year.
In early September, Bachelor Nation's Jef Holm — who got engaged to Emily Maynard on season 8 of "The Bachelorette" in 2012 — confirmed reports that he was dating "Too Hot to Handle" alum Francesca Farago. After that, the new couple was snapped smooching several times.
The Sun on Sunday reported in July 19 that Emilia Clarke was dating assistant director Tom Turner, who previously romanced "Mission: Impossible" franchise star Rebecca Ferguson. The relationship, however, ended up being just a summer fling.
People magazine broke the news in June that Jared Leto was seeing longtime pal Valery Kaufman. The pair had been dating "off and on now for a few years" before getting more serious this year, according to a source. The 48-year-old actor and the 26-year-old model "would meet up with groups of people and all hang out" and "didn't go on solo dates" until their relationship took a turn somewhere along the line, the source said, adding that Valery had even met Jared's mom.
On-again, off-again couple Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik gave their love another go in early 2020. In January, the pair were seen walking arm-in-arm around New York City, signaling that they'd reconciled about a year after their last split. "Gigi and Zayn got back together right before the holidays in December," a source told E! News. "Zayn has been reaching out to Gigi for the last month and she is giving him another chance." On Aug. 17, Cara Santana was snapped kissing and hugging Shannon Leto — Jared Leto's brother and Thirty Seconds to Mars bandmate — during an outing in Santa Monica. (See photos here.) The two continued to date through the summer and into the fall.
On Aug. 17, MailOnline reported that Jesse Metcalfe had started dating Canadian model Corin Jamie Lee Clark, and that things were serious: At the time, the duo reportedly had been living together for two months after meeting at a party in Los Angeles in May. An E! News source noted, "Jesse has gotten serious with Corin very quickly. He thinks she's amazing and they have been inseparable. … They feel like they've been together forever even though it's only been a few months. He's crazy about her." In December, he made their relationship Instagram official.
Drake was seen with a new love interest early in the year. The rapper and model Imaan Hammam fueled romance rumors on Feb. 7 after they were spotted walking arm-in-arm at a New York Fashion Week event. "They're so cute together," an insider told Us Weekly. "They were hanging out together at the dinner, took pictures — he had his arm around her. [It] definitely looks more friendly than just friends." According to Page Six, the Canadian hitmaker was also seen leaving the model's NYC apartment on Feb. 5. By March, there was already speculation that the relationship had fizzled.
Bristol Palin revealed on her Instagram Story on Nov. 28 that things are so serious with her new boyfriend, Austin-based contractor Zach Towers — with whom she went public in July — that he's met her three children. She also revealed how they first connected: "through mutual friends on the lake." Two days later, she shared a photo of herself with Zach and her oldest child, son Tripp, at an outdoor restaurant in Fredericksburg, Texas. "Two of my favs," she wrote in the caption.
On Dec. 1, E! News reported that recent "Big Brother: All Stars" competitors Memphis Garrett and Christmas Abbott are now a couple. "I wasn't looking for a relationship, I was there to WIN," Christmas said of falling in love in the "Big Brother" house. "It's so wild to have this experience because we reverse engineered how society promotes falling in love. Memphis and I got to know one another through real conversations, building trust with each other and not starting with a physical connection. That's a rare thing!" Added Memphis, "Never in my mind would I ever think I would find love thanks to the 'Big Brother' house, but sometimes fate has other plans."
Romeo Miller debuted his new girlfriend, Drew Sangster, on Instagram on Nov. 27. "Thankful I accepted that Thanksgiving invite, I could get use to this @drewsangster. Yesterday was a good day," he captioned a slideshow of photos with Drew. A few days later on the Dec. 1 episode of Fox Soul's "The Mix," Lil' Romeo shared that he and Drew have been "cool for a long time" but grew closer when she sent him a book to read each month during the pandemic — as well as "a hand-written letter of 138 reasons why I'm happy I simply met you." Added the rapper-actor, "That was my sign, at least to me. And the thing I like most is that it wasn't planned. I guess [when] the best things happen in life, they just happen."
"Southern Charm" star Craig Conover revealed early in 2020 that he had a new girlfriend — a woman he met in Aspen in January. He referred to her as Natalie during a November Instagram Live and the sleuths at Reality Blurb soon identified her as Natalie Hegnauer. She's shared several photos with the "Southern Charm" star on her Instagram account in 2020 including this shot of Craig pecking her on the cheek.
