How Katy Perry's been prepping for motherhood
Now that they've gone public with their baby news, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are in parental prep-mode before their first child together arrives this summer. That process technically began years ago, though. The couple has talked about their desire to have kids in the past; a source even told E! News right after they got engaged in 2019 that they "want to get married and start a family sooner rather than later." Speaking to Howard Stern last fall, Orlando echoed a similar sentiment, telling the radio host Katy's "great with kids." Asked if they wanted to have any little ones of their own, Orlando, who shares 9-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr, said, "It would be a wonderful thing. We are shooting for that." According to E!'s insider, everything's already hunky-dory between Katy and Miranda, who have become pals. "Katy has a great relationship with Miranda and they have always been supportive of one another. Miranda has always appreciated Katy's love and care for Flynn," says the source, adding that the singer goes to all of Flynn's school plays. In interviews, Katy's also talked about taking Flynn to the movies and amusement parks and overseas. "She's a constant in his life and loves being a part of it and watching him grow," the source says. Back in September, the singer joked to Ellen Degeneres that she's become a "normal person" who goes to bed at 10 pm, in part because of Flynn's schedule, saying the experience has "matured" her. In addition to getting "practice" in a parental role with Flynn, Katy's had experience with little ones via her older sister Angela's daughters and the babies her friends have welcomed in recent years. As for the wedding, Katy and Orlando are still reportedly hoping to tie the knot in Japan. "It didn't matter to her if the baby came before the marriage or vice versa," another insider tells the outlet, "… because she knew she had found her soulmate."

Coronavirus update: Miley Cyrus cancels concert performance, 'Wheel of Fortune' and 'Jeopardy!' ditch studio audiences, Coachella expected to be postponed
Uncertainty about the continuing spread of the new coronavirus has now officially wreaked havoc on the entertainment industry. The latest spate of canceled and postponed performances and tours include Madonna, who canceled two March shows in France; Pearl Jam, which postponed its North American tour; Miley Cyrus, who announced over the weekend she's "no longer traveling" to Australia for her March 13 bushfire relief date in order to protect the health and safety of her band and crew; Neil Young, who cited his largely "older audience" when announcing his Crazy Horse tour is on hold; and Pearl Jam, which just postponed its North American tour, according to USAToday. Meanwhile, Variety reported this week Coachella and Stagecoach will likely postpone their festivals until October. South By Southwest previously announced its cancelation and Ultra, Miami's electronic dance music festival, will be postponed. In the TV world, "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" are now filming sans studio audiences and Katie Couric has announced she'll be "working from home" in a self-quarantine after coming into close contact with a friend who has since tested positive for COVID-19, according to People. Queen, Ciara, BTS, Khalid, Mariah Carey and Green Day have also canceled or postponed performances due to the virus. As a reminder, most healthy people do not only develop mild symptoms like fever and a cough from the coronavirus. Those with compromised immune systems and the elderly are more at risk for serious consequences.

Angelina Jolie reveals her daughters are both recovering from surgeries
In a new column for Time pegged to International Women's Day on March 8, Angelina Jolie zeroed in on the experience of watching her daughters band together with courage and support for one another amid health problems Zahara, 15, and Shiloh, 13, are apparently facing. "I have spent the last two months in and out of surgeries with my eldest daughter, and days ago watched her younger sister go under the knife for a hip surgery," Angelina wrote, noting that they wanted her to share their story. "I also watched them face their fears with a resolute bravery," she continued. "We all know that moment when no one else can help us, and all we can do is close our eyes and breathe. When only we can take the next step or breathe through the pain, so we steady ourselves and do it." Describing how her daughter Vivienne, 11, stood by Zahara and Shiloh and helped them recover, she praised the girls, saying they "stopped everything and put each other first, and felt the joy of being of service to those they love." Though she did not include specifics about the when the surgeries took place, Hello! points out their father Brad Pitt cancelled his scheduled BAFTAs appearance in February for "family reason."
Niecy Nash and Jay Tucker reach property settlement
Niecy Nash and Jay Tucker are just a few months away from being officially divorced. The former couple, who announced last year that they'd split, having realized they were better off as friends, recently agreed on a property settlement and will finalize the end of their marriage on June 21, according to TMZ. Legal documents indicate Niecy will keep their home in Bell Canyon, California, their 2016 Tesla and her Chocolate Chick production company. Jay is slated to walk away with their 2011 Ford F-150 truck and a $184,820 payment from Niecy to cover his portion of the proceeds from another property they sold. They'll both skip spousal support and will instead keep whatever they each earned after June 1, 2019, their official date of separation. The two are still cordial; in their split announcement, they assured fans all was well between them and described their marriage as "such a gorgeous ride."
Justin Timberlake talks new and future collaborations with Anderson .Paak, Lizzo
After releasing "Don't Slack," his new single collaboration with Anderson .Paak, on Tuesday, March 10, Justin Timberlake checked in with Zane Lowe about some of his current projects and other music plans. "I'm really enjoying the process again," the 39-year-old said of recording (via People). "I don't have an agenda to make an album, but if it comes together, then it comes together. And in the meantime, I just want to stack records with people that I love, and that I'm inspired by, and that happens to be a ton of people." The singer's also recorded recently with SZA, Meek Mill and Lizzo, whom he shouted out during the interview, begging her to green-light the release of their track. "I've always loved collaborating," Justin explained. That's been easier now that music gets released via single so regularly. "…The vessel used to be the album, there was so much time in between when I would get to go in with people. And now, I could not put anything out for the rest of the year, I could also put eight records out before 2020 is over, I don't know," he said. If there's one artist he can see working with for a whole album, though, it's Anderson .Paak. "I hope he doesn't mind that I'm gonna say this right now, but we talked about a possible joint project," Justin said. "We talked about it, but yeah, he's a busy man, too. I told him as well, too, I was like, 'You need to enjoy your moment, bro…' That dude … is so gifted. He's so good."
Harvey Weinstein's lawyers ask judge to spare him 'de facto life sentence'
Ahead of Harvey Weinstein's Wednesday, March 11 sentencing, the former producer's lawyers sent a letter to the judge handling the case in which they pleaded for the minimum sentence of five years in prison, which they called a "de facto life sentence." "The grave reality is that Mr. Weinstein may not even outlive that term," the attorneys wrote, according to Page Six. Citing the effects of articles published in the New Yorker and New York Times about allegations against Weinstein, the lawyers maintained their client's life had already been "destroyed" and called his "fall from grace … historic." They also returned to claims they made in court, saying Weinstein's accusers had "consensual relationships" with him and complaining that "the trial did not fairly portray who he is as a person." Finally, they appealed to the judge on the basis of Weinstein's philanthropic work, career achievements and children. "His life story, his accomplishments, and struggles are simply remarkable and should not be disregarded in total because of a jury's verdict," they argued. Lawyers for the prosecution wrote a letter to the judge as well, asking for a "lengthy" sentence, according to THR. Weinstein was convicted last month of committing a first-degree Criminal Sexual Act and third-degree rape. The maximum sentence could send him to prison for up to 29 years.

Speaking to ET, the 33-year-old said she would be featured on the show as a guest, but couldn't elaborate much because she was sure how much she was allowed to say. "Clearly, I just say always so much," she joked, "but people expect that from me." Kristin, who's still tight with cast members like Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt and Audrina Patridge, couldn't appear on the first season of the reboot last year because of contractual obligations with E! and her "Very Cavallari" series. "I'm excited! I'm actually very excited," she gushed of her upcoming cameo. "I think it's going to be fun to go back and see the old gang and, yeah, I'm looking forward to it." Kourtney Kardashian's not here for your mom-shaming, folks. The mother of three and her ex, Scott Disick, have both taken heat for their parenting, with critics slamming them for everything from letting their son's hair grow long to taking them on trips. As Kourtney said in a Rose Inc. interview this week, though, she's determined "to not give energy to things that aren't worthy" of it. When she was asked what she'll "never apologize for," Kourtney said, "Kissing my kids on the lips," according to Us Weekly. "Once in a while, I may respond to a negative comment for fun, or if something really does bother me I definitely have the platform to correct it … but I usually don't think twice," she explained. No one knows my kids better than me. I've got this, I'm good, thanks." Kourtney and Scott share Mason, 10, Penelope, 7, and Reign, 5.
