J.Lo and A-Rod rock out to Cardi B in his new car
Jennifer Lopez isn't the only one in her house who got a high-end birthday car gift this summer. As her fiance Alex Rodriguez revealed in a handful of Instagram posts this week, J.Lo gave her man a bright blue Ford Bronco for his 44th birthday last month. "@jlo thank you for the best gift," he captioned a shot of the snazzy ride. He also shared an adorable video that showed him driving the new wheels with Jennifer riding shotgun — while rocking out to Cardi B's "Money" — and a friend in the back. "Top down. Sunny day. Radio on. 🎶 #summerride," the beaming ex-Yankee wrote on the post (via ET). Hopefully, A-Rod has better luck with the Bronco than he did with a car he recently rented in San Francisco that made headlines after it was broken into. "I am saddened that several items that were of a personal nature and irreplaceable with sentimental value were taken," he said in a statement about the incident. "I am encouraged that local law enforcement has security footage of the crime and are doing all they can to get the items back." As part of his birthday celebration for J.Lo, who turned 50 in July, Alex got her a shiny new Porsche.

Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson pick up litter in Montauk
Bride and groom-to-be Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are pitching in to keep their local beach community clean. People reports that during a seaside stroll in Montauk, New York, on Thursday, Aug. 15, the comic and actress stopped along the way to properly dispose of trash they found as they walked. Scarlett reportedly held the litter in a plastic bag while they walked around, keeping an eye out for more litter. The two have been in Montauk for much of the summer, presumably staying at the home Colin bought there in 2016. Describing the town as "sleepier" than other regions of the Hamptons, Colin told THR last year that he and Scarlett also like the locale because it's "surprisingly private." "A perfect date night is having a sunset cocktail and dinner at The Crow's Nest," he said at the time. "It's very romantic, and a nice combo is going to Liar's Saloon for after-dinner drinks." A rep for Scarlett confirmed the couple's engagement this past spring.

Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz show off their weddings bands
Heidi Klum's Instagram posts have been cuing the "bestlife" hashtags ever since she married Tom Kaulitz in a second wedding ceremony earlier this month on a yacht in Capri. Now, after sharing pics of her airbrushed "Heidi and Tom hat," her various itsy bitsy teeny weenie bikinis and, of course, her wedding gown, the 46-year-old supermodel is finally showing off her wedding ring — as well as Tom's. A photo posted this week on Heidi's Instagram shows her hand entwined with her husband's, complete with a close-up of the simple gold bands they both now wear in honor of their vows. According to Page Six, the German caption she added to the pic comes from the song "Leuchtturm" by Nena. Translated to English, the lyrics go something like: "I go with you wherever you want to, even to the end of the world / At the sea, the beach, where the sun shines." Heidi and her 29-year-old Tokio Hotel rocker beau secretly wed months before their more conventional summer wedding, having legally tied the knot in February, one year after they met.

Kaitlynn Carter responds to fan referencing Miley Cyrus kiss
Amid reports of backlash over the kiss Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter were photographed sharing in Italy over the weekend — just as Miley's split from husband Liam Hemsworth was confirmed — one fan had nothing but positive thoughts to send the ladies. An Instagram user named Victoria weighed in on the PDA in the comments of a post Kaitlynn shared on Monday, Aug. 12. "Just wanted to let you know that you don't deserve all this hate from people who claim to be Miley's 'fans'!," she wrote, according to People. "You and Miley have every right to do whatever you want! If you make Miley happy then I like you! Miley's happiness and mental health is all that matters to me!" Kaitlynn, whose split from Brody Miller was announced in early August, clicked "like" on Victoria's comment, according to People. Meanwhile, a source told People Kaitlynn and Miley are "just having fun," and not in any kind of "girlfriend" relationship. "They were with other friends, spent time by the pool and enjoyed a boat tour on the lake," said the source, adding that Miley "was very close with Kaitlynn." It's worth noting another insider told the magazine Miley and Liam actually separated "months ago," and "multiple sources" seem to think the kissing cuddling between Miley and Kaitlynn pronbably happened "partly because [Miley] … is hurting from her breakup."
Beyonce, Lauren London and more stars honor Nipsey Hussle on the late rapper's birthday
Nipsey Hussle would have turned 33 on Thursday, Aug. 15, and though he didn't live to celebrate the milestone, his family, friends and fans spent time devoting messages to him on social media this week. Beyonce shared a black and white photo of the late rapper, who was shot and killed outside his Los Angeles store, Marathon Clothing, on March 31. Beneath his image, she quoted JAY-Z's Nipsey tribute lyrics from "Mood 4 Eva," her collaboration with Jay and Childish Gambino, writing, "The marathon will be televised for N.I.P. 'Cause true kings don't die, we multiply, peace." Beneath those words, she wrote, "Happy birthday in paradise." Other famous friends who recognized Nipsey on Thursday included Meek Mill, DJ Khaled (who co-produced "Mood 4 Eva") and Swizz Beatz. Nispey's longtime partner, Lauren London, also shared a moving tribute to her late boyfriend. "We are to live in our highest vibrations today because that is how Nip lived his life," she wrote in one part of the long post. "We should encourage and inspire today because that is how Hussle lived his life. Today we should love and give truth because that is how He lived his life. His Purpose still lives on with us all." She went on to assert Nipsey "wasn't a sad soul. He was a powerful strong magical soul," before concluding with, "Long Live My other half My beloved King Ermias Nip Hussle The Great! I miss you I love you Still here holding it UP!"
Jamie Foxx gave Corrine Foxx 'the worst acting advice' before her first feature film
Here's hoping Jamie Foxx never opens his own acting school. Because according to his daughter, Corrine Foxx, Jamie's "acting advice is the worst." Speaking to Variety at this week's premiere for her first feature film, "47 Meters Down: Uncaged," Corrine, 25, shared her dad's words of acting wisdom: "It's so easy, anyone can do it." Corrine said she responded like any kid would, with the verbal equivalent of an eye roll: "You won an Oscar, of course it's easy for you." What Jamie lacks as a drama teacher, however, he seems to make up for in the proud pop department. Corrine said he got in the habit of Facetiming her endlessly while she was shooting and was even posting about her premiere on Instagram Live from the red carpet. "He's so proud of me, he can't even look at me without tearing up," she said when asked about having her dad at the premiere. "I used to shy away from my last name. I really wanted to create a career for myself. [But] I've learned to embrace it in the last few years," she continued. "I grew up being on set with my dad and going with him to premieres. So for me to finally have my own and him coming to my premiere it is so full circle to me." "47 Meters Down: Uncaged," which also features Sylvester Stallone's daughter, Sistene Stallone, hits theaters Friday, Aug. 16.
Will Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's son, Archie, be a redhead like his dad?
Three months into the life of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, we finally have an update on whether the little guy is taking more after his mom, Duchess Meghan, or his dad, Prince Harry. "He's a happy baby," a source tells People. "He has lovely, puffy little legs and tufts of reddish hair. He's really adorable." At first, Meghan and Harry admitted they couldn't really tell who Archie looked more like. "Everyone says babies change so much over two weeks," Harry said back in May, two days after Archie was born. "We're basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really. His looks are changing every single day so who knows."
Chrissy Teigen reveals her tips for avoiding Internet burnout
Sure, Chrissy Teigen has some major social media superpowers. In addition to her own, witty posts, she can go head-to-head with Donald Trump one minute and serve up a hilarious clapback at Troll Du Jour the next. That may be because the model and cookbook author is equally adept at what Bazaar describes as "staying sane while scrolling" — no small feat in 2019. Asked how she deals "with burnout from the news and the Internet in general" Chrissy revealed some tips she uses with just that goal in mind. "It's important to find that balance," she explains. "My kids now take away a lot of my time, so I'm able to give myself that break. But there are times where I cannot put my phone down. We don't get a break from news these days, but putting my phone down, going out and playing with my kids, and just trying to forget about things for a moment is really important. These mental breaks are really important." Beyond maintaining boundaries to protect one's own mental health while online, she says there are also advantages to "using the mute feature on Twitter" and "curating] your own feed." As Chrissy explains of her own experience, "For me, the second I hear certain [trigger] words, I just turn my brain off and I'm like, nope, I'm not finishing this video. I can't hear what he has to say anymore. There are certain things that I've trained myself not to listen to anymore and it helps a lot." That's where she comes back to mental health awareness, which is arguably the key for everyone's Internet burnout survival. "Stress is huge for people these days and it really is going to be such an illness—another thing we're going to look back on," she says. "You have to take care of your own personal mental health. There's some days that you can take it and that's great, but on the days you can't, it's fine to just be offline. You don't have to always be on the grid."
Lil Nas X surpasses the Beatles' 'Help' in Spotify streams with 'Panini'
Attention, Lil Nas X naysayers: Guess which song has more streams on Spotify than the Beatles' "Help" as of August 2019? Yep, as Time reports in this week's cover story, 20-year-old trap rapping country fan Lil Nas X continues to prove his detractors wrong — and not just with the success of "Old Town Road," which has now stood at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 for 19 straight weeks. "Panini," the first release off Nas X's EP "7," has already surpassed the number of Spotify streams for both "Help" and Madonna's "Lucky Prayer," according to Time. Nas X isn't ready to hang up his boots yet, either. He's currently working on new projects with the likes of Pharrell Williams and getting ready to release a spate of new songs. "Seeing digital numbers, it's a good feeling. It goes so quickly, though," he tells Time. "You have to keep going."
Billy Porter is 'grateful' for how 'Pose' is changing the industry for
From "Pose" star Billy Porter's perspective, the Ryan Murphy series represents a major step forward in casting standards for African-American men who don't identify as straight. "You get used to being [cast as] the funny friend," he said at the 92nd Street Y in New York City this week, according to Page Six. "You get used to the industry cutting your [anatomy] off because you're a queen." Explaining that "Pose" represents a new era of sorts for that mentality, he added that today, "… we have these moments where we can create a space that shows African-American men trying to figure out how to love each other as opposed to how to kill each other." Said Billy: "I am so grateful to be a part of what I see as the change."
