Jennifer Lopez is 'ecstatic' after Alex Rodriguez's unexpected proposal
When Orlando Bloom proposed to Katy Perry, he had already arranged for her friends and family to gather for a surprise, post-engagement celebration that same night. Alex Rodriguez went the opposite direction when he popped the question to Jennifer Lopez in the Bahamas, keeping his plans to ask for her hand in marriage under wraps. As the couple announced on social media on Saturday, March 9, J.Lo said "yes." "Jennifer is ecstatic and so are their families and friends," a source tells People. "Very few people knew Alex planned on proposing. It was very much a surprise for Jennifer. It was just how Alex wanted it." The former Yankees star chose to propose during a trip to the Bahamas, which the source says was "very fitting," since the locale "has always been very special to them." It seems the two quietly went there in the very beginning of their relationship "to get to know each other in privacy," according to the insider, who also gushed about J.Lo and A-Rod's apparently perfect pairing. "They are incredible together. Very much soulmates that bring out the best in each other and are so supportive of each other. From the start, they moved very quickly. Their relationship was always very passionate. Jennifer quickly fell very hard for Alex. And she quickly started planning for their future," says the source. The engagement buzz that the romance sparked early on wasn't off-base, either. According to People's source, marriage was on the table soon after things got serious between the two but Jennifer, who's been married three times before, "realized that she wanted to live more in the moment" and "wanted to enjoy what they have together with the kids." As things progressed, both Jennifer and Alex spoke openly about their feelings for one another, with Alex enthusing to People last December that J.Lo's "best quality is undoubtedly her generosity," and Jennifer gushing that she and Alex "bring something to each other's lives that is profound, good and healthy." The two are reportedly now planning to "enjoy their engagement for a few days before they head back to work." They have reportedly not yet set any wedding plans.

Who bit Beyonce redux: Regina Hall weighs in
There is perhaps no better proof of Tiffany Haddish's storytelling expertise than the legs her "who bit Beyonce" tale earned once it hit the Internet. Now, months after the pop culture universe essentially decided it was Sanaa Lathan who sank her teeth into Queen Bey's royal face at a party last year, Regina Hall has issued a final note on the matter. Speaking to the New York Times in a feature published Monday, March 11, the "Black Monday" star weighed in on the truth about her friend, Tiffany's story and its implications about her other friend, Sanaa. "Let me tell you something: I could tap your leg with my foot and Tiffany would retell it as me kicking you," Regina told the Times. "She's a comedian. She can make a story, know what I mean? That whole thing took on a life of its own."
Kendall Jenner lets her 'son,' a snake, crawl around in her hair
Here's a photo of an actual, live snake writhing around in Kendall Jenner's hair. The "nope"-inducing image comes courtesy of Kendall's Insatgram Story (via People), where she shared the clip of the pinkish creature chilling in her mane alongside the caption, "my son," on Sunday, March 10. As W reminds us, snakes have played a central role in what the outlet astutely describes as "Kardashian iconography." Kim Kardashian West used a slew of snakes on social media in response to Taylor Swift's denial of having ok'd Kanye West's use of her name in "Famous." Taylor then took the snake and ran with it, using the image to promote her new album, "Reputation." And after Khloe Kardashian learned family friend Jordyn Woods had hooked up with her now ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, she wrote on her Instagram Story, "No matter how much a snake sheds its skin. It's still a snake."Seems in Kendall's case, a snake can also be a hair accessory. Shudder.

Genasis, and more friends, at Hakkasan restaurant, where guests enjoyed a pink birthday cake covered with macarons and blackberries. After dinner, the party crew took over a VIP section next to the DJ booth at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. When Malika's boyfriend performed around 2 a.m., "Khloé was all smiles controlling the cryo button of O.T. Genasis' performance," according to a Page Six source. "She was laughing every time she hit it!" The tab noted that Khloe "just seemed like she was having a good time," in spite of her recent split from Tristan.
Norman Reedus praises Diane Kruger in pregnancy throwback post
For Norman Reedus, celebrating International Women's Day means celebrating the woman at the center of his life, Diane Kruger, a fact he made clear over the weekend when he shared a nostalgic shot of his lady taken during her recent pregnancy. "This badass," he captioned the black and white pic of Diane, leaning against a car with her very pregnant belly exposed. "#internationalwomensday. every day," he added. Norman and Diane, who worked together on 2015's "Sky" and were first linked romantically in 2016, following Diane's split from Joashua Jackson, welcomed their first child together last year. Norman also shares a 19-year-old son with Helena Christianen.
Joe Jonas shares a sexy Halloween pic of Sophie Turner
Norman Reedus isn't the only one with his lady on his mind over the weekend. On Sunday, March 10, Joe Jonas shared a photo of his fiancee, Sophie Turner, decked out as a sultry Morticia Addams. "Is it Halloween yet? 🤤" he asked in the caption to the sexy pic. In a recent cover story for Glamour UK, Sophie opened up about how her relationship with Joe has helped her better understand herself. "A lot of [my happiness now] is to do with being with a person I've fallen in love with, who loves me more than he loves himself, and who wants to see me find my own happiness," she told the magazine. "That was probably the biggest thing that pushed me to find who I am – and find my happiness in things other than acting."
Nicki Minaj cancels show at the last minute, sparking chants of 'Cardi B' at arena
Ouch. Nicki Minaj canceled her second show in less than a month over the weekend and her would-be concert-goers were not happy. People reports ticket holders had already been allowed into the venue in Bordeaux, France, when they learned Nicki would not perform. Their response? Chant the name of her known nemesis, Cardi B, to get under Nicki's skin. (Guess they didn't get the memo about the truce Nicki and Cardi called on their feud back in October.) Nicki later addressed the cancellation in a video post on Instagram. "You guys, it's not in my best interest not to perform and lose money and aggravate my fans," she said in the clip. "I love performing for my fans. I'm more excited than you are before the show. These two cities that had technical issues were cities that I'd never been to before, and we tried to add them but they just didn't have the power in the building to facilitate my show and they didn't tell us that until three hours before the show, as opposed to once we did sound check, they said it was fine." She went on to say "every artist has technical difficulties and have to cancel shows," adding assurances that she loves her fans "dearly" and "really" hopes to "make it up" to them soon.
Lisa Vanderpump doesn't 'give a damn' about 'puppygate' allegations on 'RHOBH;' says her friendship withKyle Richards is over
Lisa Vanderpump has declared her friendship with ":Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" castmate "finished." Telling her side of the Puppygate story that's dominated the show's current season on her blog, Lisa says the final straw was when Kyle and the other "Housewives" accused her of trying to promote her Vanderpump Dogs organization and possibly generate interest for a spinoff show by planting a story about the fate of a puppy Dorit Kemsley adopted from the dog rescue center. "… For me to put my hand to God and swear on my children's life and still have my friend disbelieve me is unacceptable," Lisa writes. She also says she was seen less on the new season of the show because she was dealing with her brother's suicide. She also includes some barbs seemingly aimed at Dorit for allowing a dog Lisa says was happy and gentle when it left her facility end up at a shelter that has "euthanasia facilities." "Frankly, the synopsis is that I have always endeavored to protect Dorit and I was accused of it once more," she writes. "But, I don't give a damn at this point. As all of the women focus on who is to blame for exposing Puppy Gate, I choose to focus on the excellent work my foundation does on a daily basis." Given Lisa's lack of commitment for the next season of "RHOBH," the post could also be seen as more evidence she won't be back.
Gerard Butler's vintage Airstream stolen from shop lot
It's been a rough few months in the housing department for Gerard Butler. Just a few months after his Malibu home was destroyed by the California wildfires last fall, the vintage Airstream he was having restored at a fabrication shop in the San Fernando Valley was stolen out of the parking lot. According to TMZ, the gate to the lot appeared to have been smashed by thief or thieves who left with the $11,000 trailer. It's unclear whether he'd planned to live in the Airstream — or how far along the renovation efforts were — but he did live in one while shooting 2017's "Geostorm." Police reportedly have no suspects.
Why Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are no longer friends
With One Direction's breakup firmly in the rear view mirror, new details are surfacing about tensions within the band prior to their decision to go on hiatus. In the latest edition of the Dan Wootton Interview podcast, Louis Tomlinson says his friendship with Zayn Malik never recovered after Zayn failed to support him at his 2016 X Factor UK performance of "Just Hold On." The song was meant to be a tribute to Louis' mom who'd recently died of Leukemia. "Truthfully, [our relationship] never really got better," Louis said, according to JustJared. "I had a couple of calls with him after I lost my mum and all the boys had agreed to come to that performance and he didn't show so that really bugged me." He added: "It was just seeing everyone there – Harry, Niall, and Liam — that was what I needed that night, that support." He ultimately said he hopes Zayn is "allright," in spite of their conflict.
