Three just might be the magic number for Jessica Simpson when it comes to kids. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the designer shared a sweet black and white photo of herself holding her youngest daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson. "Baby Birdie is the cherry on top of my precious family 💚 #BIRDIEMAE," she captioned the shot, the "cherry on top" reference suggesting Birdie's the final addition to the family she shares with her husband, Eric Johnson. The pair are also parents to a daughter, Maxi, 7, and son, Ace, 6. But Jessica's pregnancy with Birdie was especially hard for Jess, who shared photos of her massively swollen ankles and challenging weight gain on social media. She also contracted bronchitis four times during the pregnancy.

Shakira plans to celebrate Latin culture at Super Bowl performance
When Shakira takes the stage at the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show alongside Jennifer Lopez, the Colombia-born singer plans to make a long-held dream come true. Describing the performance as having an "important purpose," she told the Associated Press this week she sees the show as an opportunity to stand up for her community. "To celebrate that culture, to showcase it in a country where Latinos have also struggled a lot," she said, according to Billboard. "I feel really humbled and with a great responsibility in my hands to represent the Latino community." The set also represents a big step forward for Shakira, who suffered a vocal cord hemorrhage that nearly ended her career. "That was probably one of the most difficult times of my life. It was really a nightmare. I didn't know if I was ever going to sing again," she told the AP. "I felt so much gratitude, so much joy to be able to sing again. I think at some point in my life I had taken it for granted."

In the film, Scarlett plays Nicole, an actress frustrated by the confines of her marriage to theater director Charlie (Adam Driver), who wants different things (and a different home base) than she does. Written and directed by Noah Baumbach, it's being hailed by critics as among the best performances of her career — and Adam's. Rolling Stone is calling the movie "a major triumph and one of the very best films of the year." Deadline heaps similar praise on the film, calling it a "heartbreaking, funny, touching, exceedingly smart, entertaining, enlightening and complex look at what can happen with those you choose to love." "Marriage Story" hits Netflix Dec. 6.
Lady Gaga addresses Bradley Cooper romance chatter
Remember all that drama around Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's relationship after "A Star Is Born?" Turns out the tabloid press was simply buying what Bradley and his leading lady were trying to sell. "Quite frankly, I think the press is very silly," Gaga tells Oprah Winfrey in a new interview for Elle. "I mean, we made a love story. For me, as a performer and as an actress, of course we wanted people to believe that we were in love." She went on to say their emotional performance at the Academy Awards — where they gazed lovingly into one another's eyes as they sang — was just part of the act. "We wanted people to feel that love at the Oscars. We wanted it to go right through the lens of that camera and to every television that it was being watched on. And we worked hard on it, we worked for days. We mapped the whole thing out — it was orchestrated as a performance. In truth, when we talked about it, we went, 'Well, I guess we did a good job!'" she said. ET notes that Gaga's then-new split from fiance Christian Carino and Bradley's subsequent breakup from Irina Shayk only made the story more believable. But Oprah pointed out that Bradley told her last year in reference to the rumors that he couldn't have looked at Gaga the way he did at the Oscars if they were truly in love. "He said his Catholic guilt would have never let him be able to look you in the eye at that piano," Oprah said. "Absolutely," Gaga said.

Camille Grammer announces she'll return to 'RHOBH'
Earlier this year, Camille Grammer announced she hadn't been "asked back" to "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." This week, however, the reality star tweeted, "I'm getting back in the game. 😉😊 diamonds and drama. #rhobh," (via E! News) indicating she'll return to the show for the tenth season, which premieres next year. Camille, 51, appeared for two seasons as a "friend" on the show. Her announcement she wasn't invited to return sparked a fan to snap that her being cut was a "slap in the face." "I agree," she told the fan, "but they don't. It's a tough business. They eat you up and spit you out." She initially said she was leaving because of Kyle Richards, tweeting that Kyle made the decision to let her go and that she "didn't want to come back" after the "awful" reunion she endured. Kyle denied she was responsible for Camille's exit.
Mandy Moore wants to 'open a yak farm'
Mmm … yak milk. After her hike up Mount Everest earlier this year, Mandy Moore's developed a new craving. Yep, the milk she drank while visiting tea houses on her journey through Nepal. Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday, Nov. 5, the "This Is Us" star explained she "became obsessed" with yak milk, so much so that she "wanted to open a yak farm when she got home." "It's delicious. Cow's milk hurts my stomach, but yak's milk was fine," she assured the host, according to E! News. "Maybe I get a yak," she said, as if wondering where said yak could hang out in her home in California. "In the yard? The dogs running around, the yak in the backyard." Before the yak takes over her life, though, she noted she and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, have another plan — and it involves her first new music in 10 years. "We've written the whole record together," she said. "He's playing all on the album. We're gonna go on tour together. It's pretty cute!"

Jenny Slate and Ben Shattuck's engagement story is part fairytale romance, part lesson in awkwardness. The comic stopped by the "Tonight Show" on Tuesday, Nov. 5, where she explained how an almost perfect proposal went a little bit awry, thanks to her nerves and affection for food. "We were in France. And as it happens when you're in France, we came upon an abandoned castle. This happened to me! This is not a lie. We get to the castle, and it's like, 'Oh, it's locked.' But then, of course, we push the gate because we're curious," Jenny told Jimmy Fallon (via E! News). Once they got inside, the pair noticed a group of people having a picnic. They'd packed a picnic, too, she said, so they sat down and got ready to have a bite. "I had chosen many of the groceries for the picnic, which means that it was just, like, all salami. I love a sausage!" she told Jimmy. "The sun is setting. He's holding my hand. He's saying, you know, these beautiful things to me. And all of a sudden, he's like, 'Jenny, you mean so much to me. I love you so much.' I'm like, 'He's about to propose to me! I can feel it coming!'" From there, things did not exactly proceed as Ben probably planned. "I had a moment to kind of, like, calm myself. Like, could have been the Audrey Hepburn of the situation, like very demure," she joked. "And he's like, 'Will you be my wife?' And of course, at that moment, when I could've been like, 'Yes,' or whatever, I have somehow nervously stuffed, like, all of the sausage into my mouth and I'm like, 'Bleh!'" So the end of their big moment was, as Jenny put it. "Just sausage dangling." She helpfully clarified: "You know how they're, like, connected by a string? One's hanging out. Yeah, I'm like, 'I will be your wife! Now you said it, you have to do it!'"
Chris Martin: Coldplay's new album is 'a reaction to the perceived negativity everywhere'
Chris Martin's spent much of the past couple of weeks promoting "Everyday Life," the forthcoming album from Coldplay. And while he's been open to sharing thoughts on the inspiration for the new music, that inspiration seems to run the gamut (he told Heart radio the new music is both "very 'Game of Thrones'" and "Las Vegas on a Thursday night"). Speaking to BBC Radio (via JustJared) recently, Chris elaborated by saying the album is "our reaction to the perceived negativity everywhere," adding this clarification: "It just feels kind of free. There's so much life bursting out on the planet. [The album] is our reaction to the perceived negativity that's everywhere. There is a lot of trouble. There's also so much positivity and so much great life happening. In a way it's just trying to make sense of things." The album, which features new singles including "Orphans" and "Arabesque," is due out Nov. 22.
Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva are expecting their second child together
Richard Gere, 70, is going to be a father again. The actor's wife Alejandra Silva, 36, announced the couple's news this week, sharing a photo of her belly as Richard and the Dalai Lama put their hands on her bump in the Netherlands, according to Us Weekly. "A very special moment just a few minutes ago … Getting blessings for our precious to come," Alejandra captioned the post, adding, "We couldn't announce it before telling HH Dalai Lama." The couple welcomed their first child together in February. Richard is also the father of a 19-year-old son, Homer, from his previous relationship with Cary Lowell. Alejandra has a 6-year-old son, Albert, with her ex, Govind Friedland.
Queen Elizabeth will no longer be wearing fur as of this year
Queen Elizabeth, 93, will no longer be wearing fur — at least not real fur. People reports that in a new book, "Angela Kelly, The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobe," the Queen's "longtime dresser," explains the monarch will, going forward, wear fake fur as much as possible, save for "historical ceremonial robes" and other older pieces that won't be updated. "If Her Majesty is due to attend an engagement in particularly cold weather, from 2019 onwards fake fur will be used to make sure she stays warm," Angela writes. The palace has confirmed the change.
