Kate Hudson: Comments about raising Rani 'genderless' are click-bait
Contrary to what headlines have suggested, Kate Hudson is not raising her new daughter, Rani, to forgo any connection to her gender. The actress made an announcement to that effect on Instagram on Monday, Jan. 28, telling "friends, fans and others who read this" that her response to a question in an AOL interview was being taken out of context for clicks. "Recently someone asked me something along the lines of if having and raising a girl is different from boys," she explained. "My response was simple. Not really. This whole click bait tactic of saying I'm raising my daughter to be 'genderless' is silly and frankly doesn't even make sense." She captioned the post, "Monday thoughts ❤️." In the interview, Kate, who also has two older sons, was asked: "… does having a baby girl make you do anything differently or change your approach at all?" She replied by saying: "It doesn't really change my approach, but there's definitely a difference. I think you just raise your kids individually regardless — like a genderless [approach]." Page Six notes Kate talked about loving clothes for little girls later in the interview. The actress and her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa, welcomed Rani in October. She's Kate's first daughter and Danny's first child.

Katharine McPhee is struggling with her bridal party choice
The wedding planning continues for Katharine McPhee — and clapbacks are apparently just another part of the process. On Sunday, Jan. 27, the singer tweeted, "Picking your bridal party is like a real life Myspace top 8," joking about the old-school social media platform. When a commenter replied by suggesting MySpace lasted "longer than" her marriage to David Foster will, she calmly replied, "I'm assuming it also lasted longer than any relationship you ever had with a hairdresser?" according to Us Weekly. With 35 years between them, the couple has faced their share of snippy comments since news of their engagement was revealed back in July. Clearly, the bride-to-be is happy to let 'em roll off her back.

"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" continued its award winning streak at Sunday night's SAG Awards, picking up trophies for best ensemble cast, best actress and best actor in a musical or comedy and making it the first show to win all three comedy categories since "30 Rock" in 2008. The Rachel Brosnahan-centric series was recently renewed for a third season and as Page Six points out, that puts its cast in a strong position to renegotiate their contracts for a boost in pay — a traditional move for actors who have completed two successful seasons of a TV show. Insiders tell the tab the "Maisel" cast is involved in that process now, as evidenced by a comment Rachel's costar, Tony Shalhoub, made during his Best Actor acceptance speech at the SAGs. "I want to thank everyone in Amazon, Jen Salke, and especially James Sterling in legal affairs and not just because I'm in the middle of renegotiation," he joked, name-checking Amazon Studios' head and Senior Business Affairs Executive,. respectively. According to Page Six, the cast's new deals will "include sizable salary increases for the main actors" ahead of Season 3.

Spencer Pratt, Chris Pratt crack each other up during 'family outing'
Wait, is Chris Pratt related to Spencer Pratt?! Over the weekend, the reality star Pratt shared a video that showed him yukking it up with the superhero franchise star Pratt, whom he bumped into at the Bellator 214 MMA fight on Saturday, Jan. 26. "Pratt family outing @prattprattpratt.," he captioned the Instagram clip. "So good when two cousins can just get out and enjoy life, you know what I mean? It's really nice," Chris jokes at one point in the post. "You know, just a family outing," Spencer replues. The camera also pans to show Spencer's wife, Heidi Pratt, and their son. "I haven't seen my own nephew Gunner since birth," Chris cracks. "He's growing so big!" For the record, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, can rest assured that when Chris marries their daughter, Katherine Schwarzenegger, the family will not inherit any "Hills" Pratts as in-laws — the guys were kidding.
Alec Baldwin admits having four kids in less than five years has 'been an adjustment'
"It's really our lives, it's been a bit of adjustment." That's how father of five, Alec Baldwin, described his current state of parenthood when Page Six caught up with him at the SAG Awards on Sunday, Jan. 27. The 60-year-old "30 Rock" alum and his wife share Leonardo, 2, Rafael, 3, Carmen, 5, and Romeo, who turns 1 in May. Alec also shares a 23-year-old daughter, Irleand Baldwin, with his ex, Kim Basinger. "We have had four kids in four-and-a-half years and we have to adjust to where it's all about our kids," he admitted. While the couple's busy work and parenting schedules mean they can't travel much right now, Alec added that he and Hilaria might bring all four kids to next year's SAGs.

She's holding her baby in the pic, which she captioned, "I gotta fly I need a jet yea I need room for my legs , I got a baby I need some money," s—– I need cheese for my egg ❤️." The new face of Reebok added a promotional "#Reebok" hashtag — and we hope the sneaker brand is sending her some serious "cheese" for her support. According to Page Six, Kulture's comfy little getup is Versace — the barocco print baby puffer onesie, to be specific — and it retails for $830. But hey, this is a mother-daughter duo who got a $5,000 gift basket from high end kids' store Petit Tresor when Kulture was born. And that was from Cardi's nemesis, Nicki Minaj. We shudder to think what it will cost to dress this child when she starts picking out her own clothes.

If it seems like Teresa Giudice has been wavering on what to do if her husband, Joe Giudice, is deported to Italy after he completes his prison sentence, it's because, well, she has. Last week, an insider with information about the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion taping told Us Weekly Teresa said she and Joe would go "separate ways" if his appeal on the deportation order is unsuccessful. That tidbit came just a few months after she vowed to keep her family together even if it means relocating. Now, a source tells Us Teresa "has been feeling conflicted for a little while now." With four daughters to consider, the insider adds that she's "doing really good despite all of this and is putting her daughters' best interests first and her own." Back in October, another insider said the "Real Housewives" star has the deportation situation "very high up on her 'never discuss' list" when it comes to her circle of friends.

Celeb newlyweds Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been putting on brave faces since the Woolsey Fire destroyed their home in Malibu, California, in November. According to a new report from The Real Deal, they still have a long road ahead of them before the property where their house once stood looks anything like it used to. Recent photos published by the Daily Mail show the remnants of their estate in ashy ruins — and they're not alone. The former homes of Robin Thicke and April Love Geary as well as Camille Grammer are also still mostly piles of ash, although Camille appears to have begun repairing her property. The fire reportedly caused damage totaling about $5 billion, according to the Real Deal.

File under News We Do Not Find Surprising … Over the weekend, Kanye West indulged in one of his go-to, downtime activities, karaoke. Unlike last November — when 'Ye tweeted out a video of himself singing "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys with Facebook co-founder, Mark Zuckerberg — the latest edition of Kanye Does Karaoke involved a non-Justin Timberlake fueled. Instead, Kim Kardashian West shared a clip of her man rapping along to his own, 2007 track, "Good Life," on Instagram Stories (via ET). She captioned the clip, "He wins karaoke." Admittedly, not much of a feat on the singing front — but way to maximize those recording royalties, 'Ye.
Freida Pinto on whether she still thinks L'Oreal lightened her skin for an ad: 'I'm sure they did'
While promoting "Love Sonia," a new film about sex trafficking, Freida Pinto's being asked about some of the more serious issues she's dealt with since rising to fame with 2008's "Slumdog Millionaire." Speaking to the Guardian in a feature published this week, she opened up about working on Woody Allen's "You Will Meet a Tall, Dark Stranger," telling the publication she "wouldn't work with" the director again out of "solidarity with women who have come out with their stories, whether they are proven or not." She also touches on a controversy from 2011, when she accused L'Oreal Paris of lightening her skin for a campaign. At the time, the company called her claims "categorically untrue," but the way she looked in the photos in question clearly still bother her. Asked if she still thinks the brand made her skin look lighter, she said, point blank: "I'm sure they did, because that's not the color of my skin you saw in a few of the campaign." She added that she now has a clause in her contract stipulating she won't be involved in promoting skin lightening products. "All the brands, including L'Oréal, have a skin-lightening range that they sell in India and I made them put it in my contract that I would not touch that with a barge pole," she says. "If you don't put it in your contract before you sign on, they can come and you will be compelled to do it."
