Kate Hudson gets candid about Brad Pitt romance rumors

Remember all that talk about Kate Hudson having a fling with Brad Pitt around the time of his divorce? Kate stopped by the Tuesday, Nov. 7, edition of "Watch What Happens Live" and Andy asked her straight-up whether the two had dated. "That was the craziest rumor of all time. There's nothing true to that," she said (via E! News). "As a matter of fact, I hadn't actually seen him in, like, four years." She admitted the rumor "was kind of awesome," though. "I kind of liked it. I was like, 'OK, fine. We're having twins!'" When Andy suggested Kate give Brad a shot in the romance department, the actress laughed and said, "Really? Thank you. It would give us so much to talk about tonight—so many things!" Especially since she's already dating Chief guitarist Danny Fujikawa, who cofounded Lightwave Records. And if you noticed a theme with regard to the men in Kate's life, you're not alone. A caller wondered if Kate only goes for rock stars as a rule. "That's a ridiculous question. No! I've only dated two; I just happen to have children with them," she said of her ex-husband Chris Robinson and former fiance Matthew Bellamy. (Woops, did she just forget about Danny and that rumored Nick Jonas situation in her dating hindsight?) Anyway, Kate, who's a pretty awesome singer herself, explained the appeal: "I'm musical, so I obviously like musical people," she said.

Fergie opens up about co-parenting Axl with Josh Duhamel

Nine months into their new, post-split lives, Fergie and Josh Duhamel are still working out the kinks involved in co-parenting their 4-year-old son, Axl. "It's a continuous seesaw, and we are just really trying to make it happen," Fergie tells In Touch Weekly. The singer admits she's prone to becoming "a little emotional" when it comes to talking about the end of her eight-year-long marriage — a fact that could partially explain why she and Josh waited until September to confirm the separation. "It's a transitional time, and there are real feelings there and they come up sometimes," she says. "I'm a true believer in not holding your emotions in. Whatever it is — love, hurt, laughter. You have to get it out." Speaking to Us Weekly ahead of her "Double Dutchess" album release, Fergie said songs like "Love Is Pain" from the new album were "emotional" and that much of what appeared on the recording represented "autobiographical" experiences. "If I can be an artist who helps a person get through a hard time, that would mean the world to me," she tells In Touch. Asked whether dating is on the table yet, the singer sounds hesitant. "My time is dedicated to a balance of work and family … and going out and having a good time once in a while! I call upon my guardian angels and my spirituality to help me find the right ways and the right choices to make with love," she says. "I'm learning to just work through these things."

Beyonce and Pharrell raise nearly $40k for The Lung Transplant Project

When Beyonce chose her now iconic wide-brimmed black hat for her Formation tour and the 2016 CFDA Awards, it was estimated to be worth $1,000 – $2,000. Once she wore it a few times and autographed it for last week's auction on behalf of The Lung Transplant Project, however, the value skyrocketed. TMZ reports the hat was sold via a Heritage Auction for $27,500, all of which will go towards the lung transplant-focused organization, which funds "research that will decrease the time spent on lung transplant waiting lists and increase long-term survival rates," according to the group's website. Pharrell was also involved in the auction, putting two pairs of pink Adidas Originals up for the highest bidder to snag. One pair was pre-designed with two spiritual messages from Pharrell, while the other was slated to be custom-designed for whomever scooped them up. They were'expected to go for about $1,000 each. Instead they sold for $11,375, according to TMZ.

Kanye West files to trademark the name for his own streaming service

Is Kanye West going to fight JAY-Z in the content streaming department next? Yeezy's reps have filed to trademark the name "Yeezy Sound" for "streaming of music, audio, images, video and other multimedia content over the internet," according to The Blast. Kanye still claims Jay's streaming company, Tidal, owes him $3.5 million for unpaid advances and bonuses stemming from Yeezy's album "The Life of Pablo." And though it would make sense for Kanye to secure his own approach to streaming future music given his Tidal dispute, insiders told TMZ in September the rapper wanted to work out his issues with Jay, who has said he was offended by Kanye's public Beyonce disses. Starting a Tidal competitor seems unlikely to foster a reconciliation.

Vogue announces theme, hosts and date for 2018 Met Gala

Rihanna's taking another step forward in the fashion world. After making a splash with her dirt bike-centric Fenty x Puma spring 2018 runway show at New York Fashion Week in September, the singer and designer has been named an honorary event chair of the 2018 Met Gala. E! News reports RiRi will be joined by co-chairs Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace, who welcomed '90s supermodels including Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell at Versace's recent anniversary celebration (Cindy's daughter, Kaia Gerber walked in the show as well). The theme for the May 7, 2018 Met Gala will be "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," according to E! News.

Jessica Chastain on tweeting about Bryan Singer allegations

In a new interview with the Daily Beast, Jessica Chastain opens up about the ongoing discussions about sexual harassment, abuse and assault that have dominated the entertainment industry's news in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal. She says she's glad to see people "taking responsibility for their … inaction." She also addresses her recent tweet pointing to three separate allegations that Bryan Singer sexually assaulted a minor. "Let us not forget," she posted in reference to the lawsuits that were brought, then dropped. The tweet became somewhat controversial since Jessica stars in "X-Men: Dark Phoenix," which Bryan produced. "I actually chose to do 'X-Men' because I'm working with Simon Kinberg, who's also a first-time filmmaker who I met on 'The Martian,' and is an incredible writer and producer," she said. "He wrote this script — which I can't say much about, because it's 'X-Men' — and there are many powerful female roles in this story that Simon is telling. And all of my dealings were with Simon and Hutch [Parker, another producer], who were on set." As for her seemingly risky move of calling out her movie's producer, she said, "I do not feel beholden to anything. I'm going to speak my mind about any injustice that I see. I'm not afraid of anything in terms of that. And I think the greatest myth that an industry can create is to make people feel like they're easily replaceable. I'm not going to allow that into my life."

Did Will and Jada Pinkett Smith really give Tyrese Gibson $5M?

New questions about Tyrese Gibson are surfacing after his claim Will Smith forked over $5 million to help him with legal fees incurred during his custody battle. Sources tell TMZ that despite Tyrese's social media post thanking Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith for their generosity, Will and Jada never actually gave him the money. "When we show UP for each-other there's nothing that can't be done I️ repeat nothing…… My wife kept the news away from me cause I've been on with lawyers all day but our family and our sister Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat," Tyrese posted this week. "You've guys asked me to get off and stay off the Internet now that my daughters legal fees will be paid ! will listen….." He later amended the post to say he had not received the money. Will and Jada are longtime friends of the actor and are reportedly concerned about his mental and emotional stability.

NYC D.A. going for a Harvey Weinstein indictment in Paz de la Huerta rape case: Report

Two legal branches of New York City law enforcement are arguing over how and when to get Harvey Weinstein into court to face Paz de la Huerta's allegation he raped her twice in 2010. Initially, police gathered enough evidence to get an arrest warrant for the former producer, who is currently in rehab for sex addiction in Arizona. On Tuesday, Nov. 7, the New York Post reported that the District Attorney's office had decided to go a different route rather than issue the warrant. The Post claims the D.A. was angry at police for telling reporters they were waiting for the warrant. Now, the D.A. is said to be preparing to present the case to a grand jury and go straight for an indictment "as early as next week," according to the Post. A spokesperson for the D.A's office said they were "not commenting on any investigation or any timeline." More than 70 women have alleged the former Weinstein Company exec sexually harassed, assaulted or raped them.

LAPD confirms it will investigate Corey Feldman's abuse claims

The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed to E! News a report from last week suggesting Corey Feldman was already speaking to police about Hollywood bigwigs he says have been involved in acts of pedophilia. The department's Media Relations arm said the LAPD "will be looking into" the contents of a report Corey filed regarding the alleged abuse. On Monday, Corey, who is currently raising money to make a documentary exposing the alleged abusers, tweeted: "I JUST COMPLETED A FORMAL SIT DOWN INTERVIEW W @LAPDHQ SPECIAL DIVISION, & GAVE THEM ALL THE INFO I KNOW!" He added: "OFFICIALLY THE 1ST FORMAL REPORT EVER TAKEN ON ANY OF MY CASES, AS SBPD NEVER FOLLOWED UP BACK IN 1993, & HAS NO RECORD OF MY COMPLAINTS." The former child star was initially planning to wait to name names until after he'd raised enough money to protect himself and others whom he believed could be further victimized as details of the allegations went public. He also tweeted this week that he was "praying 4 safety," urging followers to "please help."

Lin-Manuel Miranda is taking 'Hamilton' to Puerto Rico

In happier news … Lin-Manuel Miranda has plans to bring some theatrical cheer to Puerto Rico as the island continues its slow recovery from Hurricane Maria. In early 2019, Lin-Manuel plans to present "Hamilton" in San Juan. "In the aftermath of Maria we decided to expedite the announcement of the project to send a bold message that Puerto Rico will recover and be back in business, stronger than ever," he said in an announcement published on Vulture. The show will run at Teatro UPR from Jan. 8 through Jan. 27, 2019. Like Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez and Bethenny Frankel, Lin-Manuel has been a vocal supporter of disaster relief efforts in the U.S. territory.
