Khloe Kardashian is spending major dough on her Cleveland nursery
When Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson's baby arrives in April, Tristan will still be busy with his Cleveland Cavaliers basketball season. That's why the couple is reportedly planning to welcome their firstborn at their home in Ohio, where Khloe's dropped some major bucks to get the nursery ready. "She's already spent $75,000," an insider tells Life&Style. "It's very minimal in design with a lot of light blues and acrylic accents," says the source. According to the tab, the nursery's tricked out with a $4,500 Vetro Lucite acrylic crib just like the one Khloe's new niece Chicago West has in her Los Angels nursery. There's also a $700 daybed in the Cleveland room, as well as chairs draped with cashmere blankets valued at $1,000 each and a white "faux-fur throw." Life&Style's insider adds that Khloe opted for natural wood floors and white lambskin rugs. The home itself boasts views of Lake Erie and, according to the source, that aesthetic plays into the nursery's design as well. Said the source: "She wanted the calming effect of the water to play a big part in the nursery. She wants it to feel like a spa lounge."

Katy Perry's hilarious Valentine's Day post is everything
While the rest of the world's social media users seemed hell-bent on posting schmoopy Valentine's Day posts about romance and love, Katy Perry perfectly summarized the way many of us feel when Feb. 14 rolls around each year — that is to say, conflicted. The singer posted a video clip from her brother David's wedding over the weekend that showed her new sister-in-law throwing her bouquet to a group of women including Katy, who ended up catching it. Instead of basking in the old wive's tale promise that she'd be the next to tie the knot, Katy shook the flowers above her then ran off into the darkness at the outdoor party. "When you crave companionship but run from love when you get it 💁🏼♀️❤️," she captioned the clip, adding the hashtags, "#happymadeupholidayofforcedlove #ilovemyself #iloveyoutoo." Words of wisdom, especially coming from a gal who's reportedly back "on" with her former flame, Orlando Bloom …

The Spice Girls have reportedly signed reunion tour contracts in spite of Victoria Beckham's denial
Are the Spice Girls staging a reunion without Posh Spice? Earlier this week, Victoria Beckham responded to rumors the former girl group would be hitting the stage again soon by firmly denying that a reunion tour was in the works. Now, TMZ is reporting that Mel B and other members of the group have already signed contracts committing to a limited number of concerts in the U.S. and the U.K. The contracts reportedly specify the locations of the shows and the fees for each performance. The website also says plans are in order to move forward with merch sales pegged to the tour. As of Thursday, Feb. 15, there had been no further word from Victoria or the other members about the reason for the conflicting reports.
Catt Sadler: Jason Kennedy pay disparity 'was an injustice'
In the wake of her departure from the E! network over the disparity between her salary and that of her male cohost Jason Kennedy, Catt Sadler has said she's experienced an "awakening" when she realized she wasn't the only one being vastly underpaid compared to male colleagues. She expanded on the situation during a visit to "The View" this week, where she said she's still glad she spoke out. "I just feel so strong in my conviction that what was happening was an injustice, and that's why I felt very compelled to fight for what was right at the time," she told the show's hosts (via The Daily Mail). "For the people that watched E! religiously — and I can even bring in these Hollywood heavyweights that kind of came to my defense, and I think it's because they knew." Looking ahead, Catt said she already has new career opportunities on the horizon, as well: "I've got some things in the works from a development standpoint. But I do have a job at the Oscars! I'm returning to the red carpet for the Vanity Fair's Oscars party." NBC exec Frances Berwick has defended the decision to pay Jason double what the network paid Catt. "There is a lot of misinformation out there. Catt Sadler and Jason Kennedy had different roles and therefore different salaries. Catt was focused on daytime. Jason Kennedy is on prime, evening news, plus red carpet," Frances said earlier this year. "Our employees' salaries are based on their roles and their expertise, regardless of gender."
Lloyd's of London agrees to pay Kanye West most of what he's owed for Saint Pablo tour cancelations
A settlement between Kanye West and Lloyd's of London regarding the $10 million lawsuit Kanye filed against his Saint Pablo tour insurer turned out to be a win for Yeezy. TMZ reports Lloyd's has now agreed it will pay Kanye's touring company, Very Good Touring, almost everything it was owed after Kanye canceled a series of shows due to his 2016 mental health scare. According to TMZ, Lloyd's initially tried to get out of shelling out any money on the nixed shows because it claimed Kanye's alleged marijuana use — which would have excluded Lloyd's from being responsible for the policy — caused his breakdown. There was reportedly no medical evidence to support the notion that his breakdown was caused by weed. TMZ says the insurer tried to use a similar claim to avoid paying Heath Ledger's daughter for the policy the actor had when he died. They eventually capitulated and paid in that case as well.
Kim Kardashian, more celebs react to Parkland mass shooting
Like many other Americans, celebrities responded to the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 people dead this week with demands social media for gun law policy changes. Kim Kardashian West, who shares three young children with Kanye West, was among Hollywood's most vocal anti-violence advocates. "We owe it to our children and our teachers to keep them safe while at school. Prayers won't do this: action will. Congress, please do your job and protect Americans from senseless gun violence," Kim tweeted (via the Daily Mail). She also retweeted statistics about the AR-15 rifle and gun laws versus terrorism attempts. Other celebs who expressed outrage over the lack of change with regard to gun laws after so many mass shootings — the Parkland shooting was the 18th such incident this year — include Mark Ruffalo, Chelsea Handler, Reese Witherspoon, Elizabeth Banks and Piers Morgan, among many others.
How Taylor Swift prevents new music from leaking
Think it's easy for Taylor Swift to share new music with her collaborators ahead of the release date? Think again. Jezebel points out that two new interviews reveal some of the spy-worthy activity required for Taylor to collaborate with folks without risking premature leaks of her new tracks. Speaking to the Brazilian publication, Capricho, Ed Sheeran recalled one instance where he and Taylor were working together from different cities and she wanted him to her where she was going with a particular tune. "I remember when I did a song with [Taylor] for her album," Ed recalled. " I was in San Francisco, and they sent someone with a locked briefcase with an iPad and one song on it. They flew to San Francisco and played the song I've done with her and asked if I like it … I was like, 'Yeah,' and they took it back. That's how I hear it." The behind-the-scenes footage for the "End Game" video revealed another way Taylor handles avoiding leaks: When she has to get backup dancers to dance in time to music before they're allowed to hear it, she said she wears miniscule earbuds with the new song in them while the dancers are played "a click track" and asked to perform to that music instead. "It's incredibly hard work," Taylor said.
Mohamed Hadid accused of invoking daughters amid allegedly predatory behavior
New accusations about Mohamed Hadid's alleged sexual misconduct suggest he may have referenced his famous daughters, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, as a means of getting the attention of young women. Mohamed has repeatedly denied aspiring model Miranda Vee's claims he dated-raped her, but part of her account now includes an allegation that he "lured" her to bed by talking about Gigi and Bella, according to the New York Post. "I thought this is a father who must be respectful," Miranda told the Post of the meeting she went to with Mohamed that she says ended with him sexually assaulting her. At the meeting, held at an apartment in Los Angeles in March 2017, Miranda says Mohamed plied her with alcohol while discussing her career and name-checked his children. "He had two glasses of champagne out. I sat on a couch facing him across the table. He said, 'Oh you're so far, why don't you sit closer?'" Miranda recalled. "We were talking about my career, and he was talking about his daughters. Mohamed said he was headed to the airport to pick Gigi up, and that he was going to Paris with her." Miranda says he then said, "'Maybe I can take you with me?' Then he started touching me, touching my leg and my face and he said I looked very pretty . . . and very young." She says she started feeling tipsy. "We were drinking . . . then he was eventually behind me in the bedroom." She went on to recount the claim she previously made in a police report that they had unprotected sex after she "told him no." After they allegedly had sex, Miranda says Mohamed left and she never saw him again. Mohamed has repeatedly denied all of the claims of assault. But the Post reports that Miranda's claims about his mentions of Gigi and Bella are consistent with a private Instagram thread from 2016 in which Mohamed reached out to another model by using a profile picture of Gigi. "I am the father of Gigi and Bella Hadid," he told her, according to the Post, which claims to have seen the conversation. "You are the perfect example of a woman's body," he added, sharing his personal phone number. Speaking to the tab at New York Fashion Week on Monday, Feb. 12, Mohamed said the claims are unfounded. "It's dead. The story is gone, so it's just a false accusation. I feel they are right [about #MeToo] and they should change the culture of any industry. I have four daughters, so I am very respectful toward women and I understand all this, but at the same time there are a lot of false accusations that are damaging to certain people. In general, I think that women should stand up and speak out," he said. "I'm not here to hurt anyone. It's a false accusation. What do I get out of it? I don't think I can pursue it for financial gains. My name definitely will clear up. I have kids and I have grandkids and I want to make sure that they know that these are all false accusations … I'm not in the business of modeling. I'm not in the industry. I don't have anyone [models] to hire — ladies — so that's why I'm very upset with it. She [Miranda] kind of followed the #MeToo movement for a case that did not exist."
Kristen Bell reveals her secrets for a healthy marriage
When Kristen Bell found out two of her friends were engaged, she went one step further than sending the usual, congratulatory note. She looked candidly at her own, nearly decade-long relationship with Dax Shepard and tried to share some of the things she's learned about maintaining a healthy marriage with her soon-to-be married pals. "I wrote congratulations then thought 'Kristen! Aren't u old & married? Don't you have any wisdom to share? When I was done, I realized Id written the A-Z of what keeps my marriage w/@daxshepard1 healthy," she posted on Valentine's Day. Among the tips she offered in the Twitter post? " … in 10 yrs when the dopamine has waned, remember: life is a crazy ride. It is a privilege to go through it with a partner," she wrote. Other suggestions included, "Take necessary separateness. It will make your marriage better," and, "Loving someone despite their faults, failing or character defects is the most powerful loving thing you can do. … Remember that everyone is doing the best they can with what they've got. So get a bigger emotional toolbox to fix your problems." As Dax told Us Weekly in September, love isn't easy, even for happy couples. "We don't believe in The One. We don't believe in the fairytale. We don't believe that you can meet someone and you have perfectly [matching] personalities," he said of his marriage to Kristen. "We are opposites and it has taken a tremendous amount of work and therapy for us to coexist," he admitted. "My only fear is that people see us and think, 'Oh, I just need to find my Kristen Bell.' That's not true. You'll find your Kristen Bell but guess what, now the work start.s Relationships are labor intensive. If you want them to last they are labor intensive." Kristen has uttered similar sentiments, telling Us that she and Dax "made a choice to be together," knowing there is a "lot of work" that has to be done to make that decision stick.
