Kim Kardashian West slammed for calling corn rows 'Bo Derek braids'
Kim Kardashian West's new 'do isn't doing wonders for her reputation. The mom of three posted a Snapchat story of her braided, beaded, silver-dyed locks over the weekend, calling them her "Bo Derek braids," in reference to the model and actress' iconic look in the movie "10." She was quickly reprimanded and chastised by social media users who found it offensive that she would credit a white actress with the corn row style. "Kim Kardashian on snap talking about some Bo Derek braids. Kim they are called CORN ROWS," wrote one irked commenter (via the Daily Mail). "First of all, f— you @KimKardashian for wearing cornrows and calling them 'Boderrick braids,'" another user snapped. "Second of [all] f— you again for crediting the creation of 'boderrick braids' to a white woman who was culturally appropriating cornrows to begin with." Another user called her "a culture vulture." As of Monday, Jan. 30, Kim had yet to comment on the backlash.
Kris Jenner's alleged stalker to undergo mental health assessment
A woman accused of stalking Kris Jenner and hacking into Kourtney Kardashian's email account may not have the mental health needed to stand up for herself in court. That's according to prosecutors in the stalking case against Christina Bankston, whom The Blast reports will see her trial date pushed back to March so that she can undergo mental testing first. In court documents excerpted by The Blast, the alleged stalker "may be presently suffering from a mental disease or defect rendering her mentally incompetent to the extent that she is unable to understand the nature and consequences of the proceedings against her or to assist properly in her defense." The decision comes after Christina was arrested for allegedly hacking Kris' social media and email accounts and sending her texts in which she threatened Kris, begged her to make Christina famous and talked about making a sex tape with her. She also told Kris she was following her, according to the daily Beast. Christina's father has since said his daughter has suffered from bipolar disorder.

Gwyneth Paltrow on wedding plans: 'I gotta dial it back'
For Gwyneth Paltrow, it's taken a lot of effort to get to where she can open up and get close to someone else, even her fiance, Brad Falchuk. "It's a life-long project," she told ET at the Goop Health Summit in New York City over the weekend. "I think that there are certain people who have a really hard time with intimacy. I always say, I'm a good sister. I'm a good daughter. I'm a good girlfriend. I'm a good mother. That romantic slice of the pie chart of my life has always been where I find my deepest work … I just am trying to towards intimacy instead of being scared of it and I'm really lucky that I found a partner that's patient and loves me and is willing to help me with my process." As for her wedding, Gwyneth said she hasn't started making formal plans but she knows what she doesn't want. "I think I'm [too] old to have a big wedding and a big ole white dress and all that," Gwyneth said. "I gotta dial it back." Whatever she and Brad decide, there's a good chance Gwyneth's ex-husband, Chris Martin — who gets along well with Brad — will be in attendance, although the actress and entrepreneur cautioned that the development of her current coparenting situation and modern family she has with Chris, Brad and her kids hasn't been easy to achieve. "It's been really a process to get to the point where we can all be together and luckily I have a deeply loving ex-husband, who's very open minded, and we've been able to create something. It's for the kids. You don't want your kids to suffer," she said. "Obviously if I could have stayed married to the father of my kids, that's kind of the dream, but it didn't work out for me. So you have to adapt and learn, learn your lessons and move on, and that's what we're trying to do."

No investigation planned for doctors who prescribed Tom Petty lethal drug combination
Following Tom Petty's death, his family said in a statement that they believed pain from his broken hip was so severe the singer overused his prescribed medication, thereby accidentally causing his death. Others, however, have spoken out to urge the authorities to investigate the doctors who prescribed his medication, given that he had prescriptions for things that could — and did — kill him when taken together. The Blast checked in with the LAPD and the L.A. County Coroner's office, both of which said they were not investigating the doctors involved in prescribing the oxycodone, temazepam, alprazolam, citalopram, acetyl fentanyl and despropionyl fentanyl that were in his system when he died. The fentanyl could have been a byproduct from the Fentanyl patch he was wearing. It could also have been fentanyl that was illegally obtained, according to The Blast. Speaking to the website, Dr. Drew said: "The doctors are the ones who should be held accountable. It is very hard to overdose from just prescribed fentanyl patches, but it is very easy to overdose if taken together with benzodiazepines." The alprazolam, or Xanax, Tom had in his system when he died, is a benzodiazepine. The singer was 66 when he died on Oct. 2, 2017.

Tyga has a bench warrant out for his arrest
Woops. There's a bench warrant out for Tyga thanks to his failure to appear in court to discuss a judgment against him stemming from injuries a woman sustained when a piece of lighting equipment allegedly fell during one of Tyga's shows and hit her in the head. TMZ reports Tyga was due to show the judge his assets, as he has yet to pay the woman what started out as a $236,000 fee. According to the website, the judgment has grown since then; Tyga now owes more than $250,000. It's not Tyga's first skipped court date. Back in 2016, a warrant was issued for his arrest after he was a no-show at a hearing related to a lawsuit filed by his former landlord.
