Kylie Jenner is going au naturel during her self-isolation
It really is a brave, new world out there — and Kylie Jenner, queen of wigs, hair extensions, fake nails and a litany of other not-so-real beauty accessories — is a case in point. The Kylie Cosmetics founder shared a pair of posts on her Instagram Story on Friday, April 3, in which she revealed plans to take a break from the hair and nail tweaks she usually includes in even her most casual looking social media pics. In one post, captioned "hair health journey," Kylie showed off her not-quite shoulder-length, bronde bob, presumably made of the hair that's actually growing out of her noggin. "This is actually the first time I've worn my natural hair," she told her pal Stassie Karanikolaou in the second post, a chat on Instagram Live. She admitted she's still "using her little Dyson thing," which Allure suspects is a reference to a straightener. Other than that, she said she's focusing on hair masks and argan oil treatments as long as she's stuck at home. When Stassie noticed her pink manicured nails, Kylie urged her not to aim the camera at her hands. "Stop! I feel so uncomfortable," she said. "My [acrylic] nails didn't even need to be taken off. This is such a good time to just take your hair out and your nails out, no lashes." The irony of the statement coming from a 22-year-old who's been getting her lips and various other body parts reworked since she was a teen wasn't lost on Stassie, who joked, "We're just natural queens." It apparently wasn't lost on Kylie either. "So natural," she added, her voice thick with playful sarcasm.

Tyler Perry leaves $21k tip on takeout order
As servers and bartenders across the country try to make ends meet amid nearly nationwide non-essential business closure mandates, many will face months of hardship before their pandemic stimulus checks even begin to get processed. Thanks to Tyler Perry, however, 42 Atlanta-based servers just got a little mid-crisis assistance to tide them over. TMZ reports the filmmaker has been picking up to-go food on a regular basis from his local Houston's in the West Paces section of Atlanta, one of his favorite spots for a bite. When he stopped by to grab his order on Sunday, April 5, he reportedly left a $500 tip for each of the restaurant's 42 servers, or $21,000 The service industry in the U.S. has already been hit hard by the pandemic, in large part because so few service and bar staff are even paid minimum wage before tips, or given access to insurance, sick days and other benefits.

Justin Theroux shares a 'date night' with his rescue pit
Our appreciation of — read: crush on — Justin Theroux is now officially off the charts. Over the weekend, the "Leftovers" alum shared a selection of Instagram Story posts showing how he's making time to bond with his true love — his rescue pit bull, Kuma. According to Justin's post (via People), the actor spent his Saturday night treating his special gal to a "date night," which included dinner for two by candlelight. (Swoon.) One photo showed the pup sitting up at a table before her place setting. The following pic featured Kuma, mid-meal, her snout in the delicately plated food. Kuma's dad captioned the shot, "Dainty Lady." Kuma, who was spotted with Justin for a "Lady and the Tramp"-inspired meal in a romantically-lit restaurant last year, found her forever home in 2018 when the actor adopted her from A Chance to Bloom Dog Rescue outside Houston shortly after Harvey left countless animals homeless. At the time, she was described as shy, young and having "medical issues."

Brie Bella reveals her anxieties about having a second child
Over the course of the past year, as Brie Bella and her husband Bryan Danielson tried repeatedly to conceive without any luck, the former WWE star became content with the notion her daughter, Byrdie, would be an only child. Then she got pregnant. The sudden shift forced her to reassess everything from her career to her relationship with Bryan and beyond. "It definitely makes me be, like, how am I going to do it all? That's something I have to think about," she said on last week's edition of the Us Weekly "Watch With Us" podcast. "I'm like, I have until July. My husband and I travel for work and I told them, I'm like, 'You've got till July to figure it out.' Like [does] he take a step back? How do we balance it?" Brie also admitted that there's a cost when it comes to her marriage when a new person enters the picture. "Before having kids, it was just all about Bryan and I going on these adventures, having fun. All we thought about was us and we were on our own time," she said. "When a child comes in, it rocks your world. I feel, like, immediately, as parents, [we] go into survival mode. You're individually trying to survive and then you're trying to have your marriage survive. I feel like, especially in the beginning stages, where fun is just not there. Then you're working hard to try to find fun." Brie's sister, Nikki Bell, learned she was also pregnant the same week as Brie. But, Brie points out, since this is Nikki's first child, there are aspects to becoming a mom she worries her twin may not be thinking about. "I tell [Nikki] all the time, I'm like, 'This is easy right now when the baby's inside. When the baby comes out, that really tests the relationship,'" she said. "'Either your man's going to be the greatest man or he's going to be the worst," she added. "'You're going to want to kill him or you're going to love him.'" People previously reported Brie and Nikki are due just two weeks apart.
Kenny Rogers honored by the Academy of Country Music
When the country music world came together, virtually, on Sunday, April 5, for "ACM Presents: Our Country," the special that was swapped in for the postponed ACM Awards, Kenny Rogers was on the minds of performers and viewers alike, in light of his death on March 20 at age 81. The two-hour show ended with a tribute to the legendary artist, courtesy of "Lucille" and "The Gambler" duets from Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker, according to Billboard. From there, Luke Bryan took the mic, performing Kenny's "Coward of the County," and telling the late star, "Thank you so much for all your musical contributions, we love you, buddy." Finally, Kenny's longtime friend Lionel Richie appeared to close out the night with one more remembrance. "What started out to be a great collaboration between two guys ended up giving me a surprise," Lionel shared, thinking back to the pair's recording of 1980's chart-topping song, "Lady." "Not only did we have a hit record," Lionel continued, "but I found one of the greatest friends I ever had in my whole life. We lived so much life together. I want to say to all his fans, he enjoyed the ride."
Larry David calls Woody Allen's memoir 'fantastic,' finds it 'hard to believe the guy did anything wrong'
After reading Woody Allen's memoir, Larry David isn't sure the director "did anything wrong," presumably with regard to Dylan Farrow and Soon-Yi Previn, the daughters of his former partner of 10-plus years, Mia Farrow. (To jog your memory … Dylan maintains her then-adoptive father Allen molested her when she was a child; he has long denied the claims. Previn, meanwhile, married Allen after the two developed a sexual relationship when she was in college.) In a New York Times profile published over the weekend, David says he's spent much of his stay-at-home time reading Allen's controversial new book, "Apropos of Nothing." "It's pretty great, it's a fantastic book, so funny. You feel like you're in the room with him," David told the Times. "It's just a great book and it's hard to walk away after reading that book thinking that this guy did anything wrong." The "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star — and avid proponent of staying in one's house whether there's a global pandemic or not — also weighed in on other ways he is and is not spending his time in lockdown. In addition to reading Allen's book, David said he's watching Netflix' "Ozark" and "Unorthodox." In the "not" category, David said he's pleased to have a break from traveling to the Big Apple to play Bernie Sanders on "SNL," adding that he thinks Sanders should drop out of the presidential race as it seems clear he won't get the nomination. He's also skipping "Tiger King," having gotten no further than one episode. "The lions and the tigers just really scared the hell out of me," he said.
Sean Penn and Leila George don masks, help run drive-thru virus testing sites in L.A.
Sean Penn's nonprofit organization Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE) recently took over a number of the drive-thru coronavirus testing sites in Los Angeles. And as Sean proved on Sunday, April 5, he's as directly involved in the project as anyone. The Daily Mail spotted the actor, 59, and his 28-year-old girlfriend Leila George helping to direct traffic and give instructions to members of the public who'd shown up for tests over the weekend. They were both wearing masks while working at the site, where those with symptoms can get tested for free. Sean reportedly offered up CORE to cover running the test sites as a means of getting some first responders back to the work only they can do.
Nick Cannon's new show gets September premiere date
After weeks of headlines listing the shows, plays, concerts and festivals that have been canceled or postponed due to the pandemic, Variety reports Nick Cannon's eponymous new show is expected to begin production this summer ahead of a Sept, 21 premiere date. Described as a "comedic talk show" with guests and pop culture coverage, "Nick Cannon" will be syndicated nationally, according to the outlet. "It's been thrilling going through this process, and to see the widespread support that the show has received and the milestones we've achieved is mind-blowing," Nick said in a statement about the project. "We're gearing up to deliver a must-see show and I'm looking forward to coming to you on your TV this fall."

For Reese Witherspoon, becoming a mom gave her a new outlook on life. The actress shares 7-year-old son Tennessee with her husband Jim Toth, and 16-year-old Deacon and 20-year-old Ava with her ex, Ryan Phillippe. "From the time I had her, when I was 22, it changed my entire view of the world," the 43-year-old actress and producer recently told OK! (via the Daily Mail). "It made me a better person," she continued, adding, "I became less of an a——, honestly." She explained that having kids made her work harder to make the world a better place. Given her industry, that's translated into wanting to "put great work into the world" so that what Tennessee, Deacon and Ava "see" is an "accurate representation" of what awaits them. Turns out Kendall Jenner is spending her quarantine time the same way a lot of folks are — which is to say, lounging in her undies. The leggy model posted a selfie over the weekend that showed her having a very not-so-busy day of Nintendo Mario Kart playing while clad in a wife-beater and panties. And other than her presumably deluxe stay-at-home setting (and her uber-photogenic tank top-and-drawers appearance), things are pretty par for the course chez Jenner right now. During a chat with Justin and Hailey Bieber on Justin's Instagram Live on Sunday, April 5, Kendall said she's been "trying as much as I can to stay off screens," other than the occasional dive into various movies and TV shows."Last night I watched 'The Last Song' [starring Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth]," she shared (via People). "I usually wake up in the morning and I take my dogs for a walk," she continued. "I've been quarantined with my one friend Tiffany for the whole time. She coincidentally ended up coming to stay with me a week before things got really crazy. We go for safe walks every morning, very safe walks obviously, and then… I got into tie-dying the other day so I've been tie-dying and painting, reading a lot." She has made it out once or twice, though. Elle recently reported Kendall was spotted driving her lavender 1960 Cadillac Eldorado next to a pal as he drove his motorcyle. The friend in question was Kendall's ex, Harry Styles. And yes, they were at least 6-feet apart.
