Is that waist trainer new mom Kylie Jenner was promoting on Instagram this week safe? Maybe not, says one OBGYN interviewed by Us Weekly. "A waist trainer is a very tight garment that can be clinched tighter and tighter to pull in the floating rib and anatomically compress. This is worn higher, does not stabilize the pelvis and I feel puts harmful compression to the abdomen. It has a temporary result that is no different than anything too tight around skin," Dr. Cynthia Robbins told the magazine after Kylie posted a selfie endorsement for the Waist Gang Society brand waist trainer. The post came less than two months after Kylie gave birth to her first child, sparking questions among fans who wondered if squeezing her bod into the thing was the best idea. Says Robbins: "After the delivery of a baby, the body has had ligaments and cartilage softened by a hormone named Relaxin. This hormone has been produced at the end of pregnancy to allow for structure shifting as the baby moves through the birth canal. I advise patients to wear a support wrap or belly wrap postpartum to stabilize the patient's pelvis so that it is held in place and no longer shifts. This allows for early resumption of exercise and for earlier return to normal function and pre-pregnancy shape. This is a healthy way to quicken recovery."

Ellie, who reportedly shared a post-breakup kiss with Harry back in 2016, is expected to bring her boyfriend Caspar Jopling, as her date.

Taylor Swift wants songwriters to cover legal fees after 'Shake It Off' copyright suit

When Taylor Swift won that groping case against a Denver-based DJ, it seems songwriters Sean Hall and Nathan Butler failed to take note of the singer's take-no-prisoners approach to lawsuits. The pair tried to sue the star on grounds her lyric "players, they gonna play, and haters, they gonna hate," from "Shake It Off," was stolen from their 2001 song, "Playas Gon' Play," but a judge dismissed their claim, saying the lyric wasn't "creative" enough to be protected under the Copyright Act. Now, The Blast reports Taylor's going one step further and demanding the two pay her back for the $72,276 in legal fees she incurred as a result of their initial complaint. Seems the whole thing was a grab for cash, anyway. taylor's lawyer later told The Blast the songwriters had offered not to sue — in return for $30 million.

Britney Spears' father demands to see Kevin Federline's tax return amid child support dispute

As Kevin Federline continues to petition his ex, Britney Spears, for larger monthly child support payments, Britney's dad is taking every precaution he can to ensure any extra money she forks over will really be spent on the two sons Britney and Kevin share — and not on the four other kids Kevin has with multiple other women. TMZ reports Kevin's lawyer has already demanded to see Britney's 2017 tax return, since part of his claim stems from the fact that she's likely making more money now than she was when the former couple agreed she'd pay $20,000 a month in support following their split. Jamie is reportedly gearing up to make the same request of Kevin in the hopes his return will show whether "he's working for a living or sponging off her," according to the website. While Kevin says the children's needs have changed since they've gotten older, Jamie is reportedly refusing to increase the payments until he's given a breakdown of all the accounting involved.

Drew Barrymore names Jake Gyllenhaal as least talented of three former costars

Sorry, Jake Gyllenhaal. Drew Barrymore had no choice but to throw you under the bus last night. On the Wednesday, March 21 edition of "The Late Late Show with James Corden," Drew was forced to play the hosts's infamous Spill Your Guts Or Fill Your Guts. In Drew's case, this involved either naming the least talented of three former costars, Jake, Hugh Grant and Adam Sandler, and ranking them all in order best to worst — or chowing down on a turkey testicle. That's when Drew gave her "Donnie Darko" costar the shaft. "When I run into him next time, I'll be like, 'Dude, it was like selling you down the river or eating turkey's balls.' And by the way, I don't even care if he hates me," she told James, before he told her she had to rank them (via JustJared). "Oh, god … I literally am doing this because I won't make it. I'm going to [vomit] all over the place," she cringed. "I would say, Adam, Hugh, Jake." D'oh.

Owen Wilson and his date set off a fire alarm in Miami

Turns out sleeplessness is among the many negative effects of smoking, too — at least it was for guests at Miami's Hotel Croyden this month. According to the New York Post, Owen Wilson and a blonde woman who appeared to have been his date for drinks at the tavern attached to the hotel were sharing a cigarette by the bathroom recently when lights started flashing all over the hotel. "Owen set off the smoke alarm in the hotel by smoking a cigarette near the bathroom," said an eyewitness. "The entire hotel was evacuated." As guests emerged sleepily from their rooms to come downstairs, many in pajamas, Owen and his lady friend seemed to take the whole thing in stride; video footage reportedly shows the two dancing together as the lights flash and the alarm continues to go off. The two later headed out of the hotel "into the night," according to the Post. Owen is currently working on the animated film, "Naya Legend of the Golden Dolphin," which also stars the voices of Kate Winslet, Gerard Butler and Quvenzhané Wallis.

After spiking her 2018 Oscars acceptance speech with, "I have two words for you: inclusion rider," Frances McDormand is working to make sure those two words spread far and wide. At this week's New York City premiere for the animated Wes Anderson film, "Isle of Dogs," the actress was spotted "handing out bumper stickers at the party that said 'inclusion rider'" according to the New York Post. Inclusion riders, as we have all come to learn, are contract clauses requiring a certain degree of diversity be represented in the production of a film. Michael B. Jordan, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, Brie Larson and Paul Feig have all declared their commitment to using the riders going forward.

Krysten Ritter talks #MeToo and the girl power nature of 'Jessica Jones'

For many women, the #MeToo movement is less about cut-and-dried instances of sexual assault or harassment and more about all those areas of gray that have long been undefined in our culture. "Jessica Jones" star Krysten Ritter is among them. "It does make you do an emotional inventory of your career, and your life, and all of a sudden you're f—— enraged," she says in the new issue of Harper's Bazaar. "You look back and kind of hate yourself for giggling through it, or for not knowing what to say. I went back and remembered things that I'd totally forgotten about, just shoved under the rug." Meanwhile, "Jessica Jones" seems like an antidote of sorts to the dearth of female voices in Hollywood today. "These were some of the best directors I've ever worked with. I took it for granted on set, because the DNA of the show is already so female, but now with some distance from it, I'm so proud that we did this thing," she muses. "Just seeing multiple bada– women sitting in video village, hashing out a scene, nobody wearing anything cute, just f—— down and dirty and getting it done? It's really cool." Dressed in her basic uniform — a black leather jacket, jeans and boots — Jessica Jones herself could be seen as antidote to one problem with how women are represented onscreen. Says Krysten: "There's so much pressure on women to look beautiful, have everything put together, get your beauty sleep, it's all about a physical appearance. And this is a character who is not about physical appearance at all."

Kanye West loses Yeezy name to Chinese company on clothing trademark

If Kanye West wants to branch out from sneakers with his Yeezy brand, he may have to go to court to do so. It seems his company gave up the Yeezy name trademark for clothing besides shoes last year. TMZ reports a Chinese company called Fujian Baby Network Technology Co. saw the opening and filed to trademark "Yeezy Boost" for other clothing items. Though Kanye's company caught wind of the filing and refiled its own application to trademark the name Yeezy for clothing, authorities now say the rapper is out of luck, thanks to the Chinese company, which apparently got a green light for its request. Last year, Kanye reportedly tried to get a deal to make Yeezy jerseys for a high school in the Calabasas section of Los Angeles. If he wants to do anything like that again, he'll likely be in trouble with regard to the brand name.

Alyssa Milano defends female farmworkers amid Wendy's boycott

Alyssa Milano is supporting the female farmworkers whose produce goes into Wendy's fast food following allegations that the women are subject to assault, harassment and unfair working conditions, all of which are fueling a boycott of the chain. A spokesperson for Wendy's recently denied claims a former farmworker made about being forced to provide sexual favors on the job or risk being fired, telling HuffPo the women are "trying to exploit the positive momentum that has been generated by and for women in the #MeToo and Times's Up movement to advance their interest." On Wednesday, March 21, Alyssa slammed Wendy's for its response to the claims. "Wendy's, this is very simple: These women are the #MeToo movement. The Time's Up movement was created in part to 'lift up the voices, power, and strength of women working in low-wage industries,'" she wrote on Facebook. "To suggest that farmworker women … are somehow unwelcome intruders in the fight for dignity and safety for women is downright absurd and unbelievably offensive. I stand with our sisters in the fields, and applaud their efforts to expand the new protections guaranteed in the Fair Food Program to the millions more women who are seeking change. And a final word of advice, Wendy's: If you really want to get on the wrong side of the Time's Up movement, keep using our name to attack and belittle farmworker women who are fighting to keep themselves and their sisters safe from rape in the fields." Amy Schumer later shared a screeshot of the post on Instagram and added, "thank you." Earlier this month, farmworkers protested publicly in New York City, demanding Wendy's adopt the Coalition of Immokalee Workers' Fair Food Program which will protect workers' rights to things like breaks and vacations as well a working environment free from abuse, according to the Daily Mail.
