On Feb. 4, Kylie Jenner, 20, took to Instagram to announce that she'd given birth to her first child, a daughter, with boyfriend Travis Scott, on Feb. 1.
Fans, family and friends were thrilled, and family members took to social media to celebrate the happy news.
Kim Kardashian West shared a sweet note on her app along with the video Kylie released on YouTube. "Mommy Kylie!!! You did it!!! I'm so incredibly proud of the woman you have grown up to be and I know that you are going to be the best mom to your new baby girl! Our girls are two weeks apart and I can't wait for them to be besties! I am so proud that you do what you want to do and live your life the way you want, you will pass down all of those amazing qualities to your baby girl. You were made to be a mom! I love you!"
"Congratulations My Sweet Kylie! What a magical ride it's been! I'll miss you bumping along with me," sister Khloe Kardashian, 33 — who's expecting her first baby — captioned an Instagram photo of herself and Kylie both showing off their baby bumps. "Never in a million years did I think we would do this together but it's been that much more special because of it. God is so great!! He had His plan all along! I love you little mama 💕 love big mama."
Khloe also retweeted one of Kylie's social media posts along with two sweet words: "Cute mommy."
Kylie's mom, new grandma Kris Jenner, 63, also weighed in on Instagram.
"God is SO good!! I am so excited and thrilled to welcome another precious baby girl to our beautiful, ever growing family. We are blessed beyond belief!" Kris captioned her post. The video Kris shared was the same teaser that Kylie had posted moments earlier on her own Instagram feed.
The clip Kris referenced had been captioned by Kylie, "Thank you @wttyler for putting this together. here's a little glimpse of the last 9 months. the link is in my bio ♥️."
It directs fans to an 11-and-a-half-minute YouTube video directed by pal Tyler Ross that shows Kylie's pregnancy journey. It's significant since the reality star and beauty mogul never even publicly confirmed her pregnancy, let alone shared any images of her baby bump — but it's all there now!
The video, titled "To Our Daughter," begins with a scene of Kris giving birth to Kylie in 1997 and ends with Kylie giving birth to her own baby girl. It's chock-full of intimate and personal moments and images and shows, at its conclusion, a first glimpse of Kylie cuddling her newborn baby.
It also includes footage of Kylie holding sister Kim Kardashian West's newborn daughter Chicago West— who arrived a little more than two weeks ago (right around the 8:28 mark) — as well as Kylie kissing and traveling with Travis, getting ultrasounds during OB/GYN appointments, celebrating at her pajama-themed baby shower, ordering double cheeseburgers in the drive-thru line, showing off her bare baby bump, hosting holiday meals and much more.
It also reveals that her baby girl arrived at 4:43 p.m. on Feb. 1 weighing 8 pounds, 9 ounces, and that Travis, her mom Kris and her sister Khloe, 33, were in her hospital room as she labored, and that sister Kendall, 22, was there via iPhone video-conference.
Big sister Kim, 37, soon weighed in on the happy news online too, retweeting Kylie's posts and adding a baby-face emoji sandwiched between two hearts.
Little sister Kendall Jenner also retweeted one of Kylie's messages, simply adding three hearts.
Clearly, just like during Kylie's pregnancy, it appears her family is staying low-key and letting Kylie call all the shots on what she wants to share!
Kylie first revealed the happy news that she'd given birth with an Instagram image of a lengthy personal message to her fans that she captioned with a simple black heart. Though she mentioned her friends and family, there was no reference to her daughter's rapper father, 25.
The post read, "I'm sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you're used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world."
She continued, "I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how. There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal I had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness."
She concluded, "Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I've had in my entire life and I'm actually going to miss it. I appreciate my friends and especially my family for helping me make this special moment as private as we could. My beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1st and I just couldn't wait to share this blessing. I've never felt love and happiness like this I could burst! Thank you for understanding."
