Lindsay Lohan breaks her silence about getting punched by a family in Moscow
For Paper's digital issue "Break the Internet" cover story, the magazine checked in with Lindsay Lohan, who in addition to having a new reality show slated to premiere next month, came realm close to the breaking the web when she posted a video of herself trailing a family she said were Syrian refugees through Moscow. According to Lindsay, the children were going to be human trafficked — and she wanted to save them. Their mother looked horrified when Lindsay went in to "rescue" the kids and promptly clocked Lindsay in the face. She didn't speak about the incident in the press for months. But Paper reports she consented to do so with them, albeit only in person. "Let's talk about it in New York. It's better if we speak face to face about it. So you can actually understand what really happened," she said. The Instagram Live video, she later implied, was maybe not her best use of social media. "There's actresses, there's several of them to my knowledge that don't use Instagram or Twitter. But I feel like you sort of have to," she said. "It's your way of controlling the narrative. I recently made the mistake of having my phone recording live video, and that I learned from,. But I think it's also important because if you're doing something and you want to give direct access to your fans, you can contact them and see their thoughts and get an opinion. Whereas in the past, you didn't have any control over it." When she met the reporter in New York City, she said she was too tired to discuss the matter further and emailed a statement that read, "I read the situation wrong. I've learned from it. And that's all I have to say." "Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club" premieres on Jan. 8 on MTV.
Which leading lady kicked Jimmy Fallon into the dreaded friend zone?
It happens to the best of us, Jimmy! After challenging his "Tonight Show" guest Margot Robbie to a game of "Loaded Questions" which mandates players either answer a personal question or take a shot of booze. Asked, "Do you have a co-star you thought you could have dated but didn't?" Jimmy acknowledged he thought he had a shot with Kate Hudson back in 2000, circa "Almost Famous." "We were, like, super good friends," Jimmy explained (via E! News). He finally took her out to see The Kids in the Hall comedy troupe — and that's when his planned course of action derailed. They introduced themselves to The Black Crowes' frontman Chris Robinson and in a perfect, post-"Almost Famous" moment, Kate called Jimmy the next day — when the two were supposed to go ice skating together — and asked if she could borrow his "Black Crowes" CD. (Even if you don't know Kate married Chris months later, you can see where this one's going …) "We ice skated maybe three or four times around the rink," Jimmy told Margot on the show. "And then I go, 'So, what are you doing now?' She goes, 'I've got to go because I have a date with Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes.'" Friend-zone city. Kate, who recently welcomed her first daughter with Danny Fujikawa, ended up splitting from Chris in 2014, while Jimmy went on to marry Nancy Juvonen.

Jada Pinkett Smith 'had a horrendous fight' with her father before he OD'd
On her latest edition of "Red Table Talk," Jada Pinkett Smith takes another plunge into some dark truths about her family relationships. In this case, she and her half-brother, Caleeb, open up about their father, Robsol Pinkett, Jr. Although she grew up watching him abuse her mother, Jada says she found that when he relapsed into alcoholism then overdosed, she couldn't help but feel guilty. It turns out she'd had a fight with him before his death — and it was about his addiction issues returning. "We grew up with different mothers on opposite coasts, but our father is a shared source of pain," she tells Caleeb (via the New York Post). "It's about finding forgiveness for the man who gave us both life and also hurt us the most." She goes on to say Robsol started drinking again after 20 to 25 years of sobriety. In spite of being hurt that he wanted to revisit their relationship only after she became successful in Hollywood, Jada says she relocated her father to California, where she lives. At some point, she figured out her dad had fallen off the wagon and confronted him, as did Caleeb. Jada's confrontation came not long before her father OD'd. During their talk, he told her simply, "that's what the disease is," and "I'm still your father." Says Jada: "The most difficult part of him dying like that is cause he and I had had a horrendous fight when I found out that he relapsed. I was like, 'I don't owe you nothin.' You didn't do s–t for me, you didn't do s–t for Caleeb. I don't owe you nothin'.' It was one of those." Jada and her mom, Adrienne, recently talked about Robsol on the Facebook Watch series, as well, with Adrienne admitting that like many women who stay in abusive relationships, she thought she was in love.

Cardi B threatened with arrest after skipping court date for tiger paint, a yacht and a video shoot
On Monday, Dec. 3, Cardi B was due in criminal court in New York City to deal with assault charges related to the strip club brawl she allegedly started with a pair of female bartenders. She was very busy, however, and was unable to attend. Instead, Cardi was wearing very little besides tiger striped body paint (you can't see them from the front but the tiger's cheeks and whiskers were painted onto her… um … second set of cheeks …) while shooting a video for her song "Twerk" on a yacht in Miami. She had a few partners in crime, according to the Daily Mail, including a zebra stripe body paint-clad woman who stayed by her side throughout much of the shoot, judging from the photos. There were also strippers and a floating stripper pole involved. Speaking to Cardi's lawyer in court that day, the judge handling her case said her absence was "not acceptable" and asked the attorney to "inform her that if she doesn't show up to the arraignment on Dec. 7, that unless the circumstances change, then it's very likely the court will issue a bench warrant for her arrest." Cardi's lawyer apologized, said he was only in touch with her business managers and noted that while she "knew of the date … there was a previously standing commitment." It seems he made no mention of the tiger — or it's risque cheeks.
Kim Kardashian reveals the sister she thinks would be most likely to sue her
Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian may have thrown their sons a joint birthday party over the weekend, but it's unclear whether that means the two have buried the hatchet that surfaced between them this summer. During a visit to "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Monday, Dec. 3, Kim was invited to play "3 Ridiculous Questions." One of the questions was which sister would be most likely to sue Kim. She didn't seem to agonize over the answer too much. "Kourtney," Kim said, according to JustJared. "She is ruthless." So has Kourtney ever threatened to take Kim to court? "Maybe as a joke …," Kim told the late night host. "When I used her character in a video game. And I paid her. But yeah — she wanted more." The video game in question was "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood," which was a point of conflict on a previous episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" when Kim kvetched, "It's ridiculous for you to just not do that for me as a favor, because I've done so much for you. And for Scott to call me and say, 'You should buy her a pair of shoes to put her character in the game' — I'm like, 'Buy her a pair of shoes? All the s— I've done for her?" She capped the rant off by saying, "I'm not buying her a f—— pair of shoes. I bought her a f—— career."
Pete Davidson follows up emotional mental health post with Knicks game alongside Chloe Sevigny, Jon Mulaney
Looks like Pete Davidson's getting by just fine with a little proverbial help from his friends. Following his candid post about being bullied on social media in the face of his borderline personality disorder diagnosis — and assuring trolls he wouldn't take his own life no matter how much they encouraged him to do so — the "Saturday Night Live" star stepped out with friends to catch some hoops at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Spotted with what a photographer thought looked like a soda in hand, Pete was photographed chatting and laughing with Chloe Sevigny and fellow comedian John Mulaney as the New York Knicks took on the Washington Wizards. (Pete's hometown Knicks lost 110-107.)The outing came after the post in which he told followers (via the New York Post), "I've spoken about [borderline personality disorder] and being suicidal publicly only in the hopes that it will help bring awareness and help kids like myself who don't want to be on this earth," adding, "I just want you guys to know. No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won't. I'm upset I even have to say this. …To all those holding me down and seeing this for what it is — I see you and I love you." Ariana Grande subsequently asked her fans to "be gentler with others" and said she still cares "deeply about" her ex, Pete.
Melanie Griffith tried to woo Alec Baldwin on the set of 'Working Girl'
This month, 30 years ago, Melanie Griffith, Alec Baldwin, Sigourney Weaver and Harrison Ford's "Working Girl" hit theaters, lionizing the experience of women across the country who knew they could kick butt in industries like finance despite the glass ceilings that had been installed around women's careers for so many years as of 1988. The Hollywood Reporter published an oral history about the movie this week and buried within lots of tidbits about things like size of Joan Cusack's hair (it was her actual hair, by the way, and it took just 20 minutes to tease it that high), was this little-known gem about Melanie's feelings for Alec at the time. In a nutshell? She totally tried to hook up with him — and she has no problem dishing on why. "Alec Baldwin is handsome and charming, and I just had such a crush on him," she gushes to THR. But he wouldn't go there with me. I was like, 'Oh come on, have a romance with me!' But no, Alec said, 'I can't do this with people I work with.' He's a sweetheart. But then Mike came to me one day and said that there was this investment banker, a young guy named Liam Dalton, who he wanted me to work with, to teach me about mergers and acquisitions. I was like, 'Oh great, I have to work with some dork from Wall Street.' And then this guy walked in, and he was so gorgeous, so sexy. I was like, 'Yeah, tell me about mergers and acquisitions all you want.'" The two ended up falling for each other and it apparently lasted well past the movie. "We had an incredible romance. He was my love for a long time after that too. We're still friends," she muses. "He lives in New York, is married and has four kids. He actually managed some money for me for a while. Mike knew about it and thought it was great, but he wanted me to make sure I concentrated on the job."
Can Emma Bunton coerce Victoria Beckham into joining the Spice Girls tour?
A Spice Girls reunion tour without Posh? Not if the now 42-year-old "Baby Spice" has anything to do with it. Emma Bunton is set to host "The Great American Baking Show — Holiday Edition," and as she recently told ET, she might be able to talk Victoria Beckham into joining the Spice Girls on the road next year, courtesy of her baking skills. "She likes blueberries, so maybe we could do like a blueberry muffin," she suggested. "Crumble, that's even better. I'd have to get one of the contestants to do it, I'd get lost." Emma went on to say that while Victoria won't be onstage with the group, it's not for lack of interest in their tour. "It's so lovely because the support that we give each other anyway, like, she's been emailing and we chat and she's coming to the show," Emma said. "The four of us feel very strong now as a team, so she'll be watching. It would be nice to have her there."
Jenna Dewan celebrates her birthday with three new piercings
Before Jenna Dewan turned 38, she said on Busy Phillips' talk show she planned to celebrate by taking her 5-year-old daughter with her to get three new piercings in her ears. Everly Tatum was going to decide after seeing her mom do it whether she wanted pierced ears, too. While we're still not sure if Everly went through with any piercings, her mom definitely did — she even documented it on Instagram Stories. "So all I want to do for my birthday is go get my ears pierced with this one!" she told followers in a post this week from Body Electric in Los Angeles. After inhaling and making it through the first two piercings, the dancer told the camera, "that's no so bad" before admitting the last one might be a different story. "So third one, apparently my nervous system is definitely going to make this one hurt more, but I'm all about it," she said. Jenna's new bling came courtesy of piercer Brian Kieth Thompson, according to the Daily Mail.
