Machine Gun Kelly says he's probably done dating forever after falling for Megan Fox
Thanks to his romance with Megan Fox, fans can let go of any dreams they might someday have a shot at love with Machine Gun Kelly. The rapper and singer appeared on BuzzFeed Celeb's "Thirst Tweets" this week, where he was promptly asked on a date by an adoring fan. "Machine Gun Kelly i just wanna let you know am free this sunday to go on a date," the hopeful person wrote (via Page Six). "… Just let me know if ur free sunday cause i am free and would like to take you on a date [sic]." Alas, MGK had to decline. "I'm locked in already right now," he said, smiling. "No dates for me. Probably ever." The musician, whose real name is Colson Baker, met Megan on the set of filming Randall Emmett's "Midnight in the Switchgrass." They were first linked in May, the same month her split from husband Brian Austin Green was announced.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's new video for "WAP" has the music world buzzing — and not just because of the uber-sexy vibe, the snakes, the cameos or even the big cats that sparked Carole Baskin's attention (and ire). The rappers shot the video during the coronavirus pandemic, making it one of very few productions — or events of any kind — that successfully jumped through all the safety hoops required to film right now. Not to mention, the cost associated with ensuring the safety of everyone involved. "It was kind of weird shooting the video in the age of corona," Cardi tells i-D magazine. "Like, we had to spend $100,000 dollars just on testing. Everybody on the shoot had to get tested for coronavirus." Since research has shown animals can contract COVID-19 from humans, Cardi says they worked around the big cats to keep them safe, as well. "We had a tiger and a leopard there, but we didn't film with them in there because of safety and because of the pandemic," she explains. "We spliced those scenes together." As i-D points out, it was all worth the extra effort. In addition to inspiring a TikTok dance challenge and an out-there conspiracy theory, both of which are only spiking the song's sales and streams, the video broke YouTube's record for the most views in 24 hours by a collaboration of women artists. It was the first women-only rap collaboration to his No. 1 on Spotify. And Billboard recently called the track, "one of the best-selling debuts of this century."

On Friday, Miley Cyrus was in full promo mode with her new song, "Midnight Sky." With lyrics like, "I don't belong to anyone / 'Cause I don't need to be loved by you," it wasn't a big surprise that the track came out the same week Miley confirmed on Instagram Live she'd split from Cody Simpson. ("We're individually just working on ourselves to become the people that we want to be, like everybody else at this age," she told her followers.) All of which makes it understandable that an interviewer would ask some questions about Miley's personal relationships, past and present. The singer bristled a bit, though, when SiriusXM's Nicole Ryan asked if she wanted to marry again or have children. "That has never been kind of my priority," she said (via JustJared). "I actually think in a way, just looking at our climate change and our water and food it feels like to me if anything to me if anything that I would like to take someone that is on the earth. I love adoption and I think that's really amazing. I definitely don't think, I do not shame anyone that wants to have children. I just personally don't believe that's a priority for me in my life." Miley then pointed out the double standard that seems to exist when it comes to the personal questions male and female singers get asked. "I follow a lot of feminists online and it's kind of like, how many men do you ask if they are going to get married or have kids?" Miley wondered. "I'm sure maybe you do want to buy into Jonas Brothers and things like that, but I don't think that many men feel the pressure to have kids and to get married."

The Chicks, Kelly Clarkson and more stars praise Dolly Parton for supporting Black Lives Matter
Dolly Parton's new Billboard cover story is giving her country contemporaries even more reason to love her. In a clip from the outlet's interview with the legendary singer and actress on Twitter this week, Dolly, 74, reflects on the Black Lives Matter movement and country music's recent efforts to stop glorifying America's slave-focused past via references to the Confederacy. The clip shows Dolly discussing why she changed the name of an attraction at Dollywood from "Dixie Stampede" to "Dolly Parton's Stampede" in 2018. "When they said 'Dixie' is an offensive word, I thought, 'Well, I don't wanna offend anybody. This is a business. We'll just call it The Stampede.' And you just do stuff not realizing, but as soon as you realize that it is a problem, you should fix it," she says in a matter-of-fact tone. "… That's where my heart is. I would never dream of hurting anybody on purpose." She's then asked what she thinks of the BLM movement. "And of course Black lives matter," she states. "Do we think our little white a—- are the only ones that matter? No!" The clip was promptly retweeted by the Chicks, who dropped "Dixie" from their name earlier this year, Kelly Clarkson, who tweeted, "I love this woman so much!!" and Trisha Yearwood, who noted, "I love @DollyParton. That is all."
How Holland Taylor and Sarah Paulson are coping with the pandemic
Nearly five years into their relationship, Holland Taylor and Sarah Paulson still keep their own, separate homes in Los Angeles. That's worked out particularly well during the coronavirus pandemic for Holland, who, at 77, is still carefully sticking to her lockdown. As she recently told Vulture — in a new interview pegged to news a "Legally Blonde 3″ is in the works — just having a change of scenery has helped her cope during the pandemic. "I have a house here in the low hills. I mean, I'm an elder, so I'm not supposed to be going out and about. And it feels very, very strange after only four months," Holland said, adding, "I'm afraid we've got a while to go." In the meantime, she's grateful that she and Sarah, 45, can mix up the scenery, if nothing else. "Sarah has a house about five minutes from me. So we spend the long weekend up at her house, and I'm by myself here for two days, and we spend one day together here. So we go back and forth. That's actually good to be moving around, to have change, because it's like — life is really, really strange. And of course, I won't be able to work until this is over. Except for very unusual circumstances. I don't know what it will be like when actors can really be in a big film production, 150 people." As for her contribution to 2001's "Legally Blonde," in which she played Professor Stromwell, Holland recalled she actually had the flu when she shot the movie. Still, she said, her "big scene in the classroom" ended up being "one of my favorite scenes as an actor on film." She added, "It was so well directed and also well shot." The Emmy-winning actress also had nothing but praise for Reese Witherspoon. "She's one of our marvelous actresses who has brought a number of roles that will be indelible culturally," Holland predicted, "and this is one of them.
A shelter cat named Dennis Quaid finds a forever home … with Dennis Quaid
Like Debra Messing, Dennis Quaid has spent a portion of his pandemic working on a new podcast. In Dennis' case, the series, "The Pet Show," is all about pet-related news, "pet influencers" (which apparently exist?) and, yes, pets and the celebs who love them. That last category recently got a boost by Dennis himself. It seems WSLS Channel 10 in Lynchburg, Virgina, aired a segment about a particular, all-black cat named "Dennis Quaid" cat the local Humane Society that was in need of a forever home. On Wednesday, the station announced on its website that Dennis Quaid had found a home — with the actor of the same name. "It was really off the wall, but I just couldn't resist. I had to," the star said with a laugh in an interview about the adoption. "We also have the pet show that [writer] Jimmy [Jellinek] here is doing and I'm executive producing on it, and really it's turned out to be one of my favorites," he explained. Jimmy, Dennis' co-host, chimed in to say that after they contacted the shelter, "it took us a while for them to actually believe us." They finally hooked the two Dennis Quaids up for a Zoom meeting, because … 2020. Apparently it went well, because as of Wednesday, Dennis the podcaster was planning to fly to Lynchburg from Los Angeles to pick up his new furry pal, who will live at the studio where he and Jimmy record their podcast. "Maybe they should start naming animals in shelters after different celebrities and see who bites," Dennis joked.
Eva Longoria Talks to Debra Messing about the power of voting
In recent years, Eva Longoria's been dedicating more and more of her time to activism, from COVID-19 relief efforts like Momento Latino to her work executive producing documentaries that tackle tough issues around immigration and labor reform. When she joined Debra Messing and entrepreneur Mandana Dayani for the latest edition of their "Dissenters" podcast, though, Eva pointed out there's one way all Americans get to be activists — and that is by voting. "I'm not speaking for women. I'm not speaking for Latinos. I'm telling you, speak for yourselves, stand up and speak for yourself like that," she urged listeners (via the Daily Mail). "The best way to do that is to vote. Because the only time we are equal with the richest 1 percent and the poorest is in the voting booth." The 45-year-old star, who spoke at both the 2012 and 2016 Democratic National Conventions. Debra and her best friend, Mandana's "Dissenters" podcast features the pair talking with their heroes about how they found "their purpose" and "the courage to dissent." The show premiered on Apple in May.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau thought the petition for a new 'GOT' ending was 'hilarious'
In case you were wondering, yes, the stars of "Game of Thrones" were aware people hated the ending so much they were petitioning HBO to try again. In fact, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played Jaime Lannister on the beloved series, found the petition idea pretty entertaining. He even considered supporting it. "I was aware of the petition for a new ending, which I thought was hilarious," he admits in a new interview with Variety. "I almost wanted to donate to that petition. HBO saying, 'You're right, so many people want it, we're going to do it,'" he quipped. At the end of the day, though, he chalks up the response to nature of "fandom." "Everyone wanted something specific and different from what they got. It's a combination of — you imagine an ending; but also, I think if you're a hardcore fan, it was really upsetting that it ended," he explains, adding that even after eight seasons, "it had to end." So would he have changed anything about the ending — whether for the story or for his character? "He was — no, it was fine," Nikolaj says before allowing that maybe "in 10 years" he could talk about another ending. "But now, I think it's a little too recent." His new film, "The Silencing," opens in select theaters Friday.
Sara Haines to return to 'The View' for Season 24
Sara Haines is set to return to "The View" this fall, according to a new report from Variety. The 42-year-old journalist co-hosted the show for two seasons beginning in 2016 after having worked on "GMA Weekend" as a lifestyle anchor. News of her return comes months after Abby Huntsman exited the show in January. Variety notes that with 2020 being an election year, ratings are up, giving extra weight to lineup changes. ABC has not yet commented.
